Got a text message from this number offering gift and gas gift cards, replied stop.....

Just got a text telling me i had received a free gift card and 20 dollar visa card. I called the number and hate to say it but they sounded indian or pakistani. They  told me i won it for having been on one of their marketing sites from either shell or chevron. They wanted me to pay a 2.95 processing fee. I just hyng up. Doesn't sound right to me. Take precaution with this

Getting text message up to 2-3 a day to call 877-792-0493. Text stated THx 4 visiting our site. Want a $200 Gift Card pluw $20 visa card.
Indian voice on other end and just hangs up when calling to remove phone number.
Very frustrating and the voice on the other end - VERY RUDE.

Sent a text that said, "Thx 4 Visiting our site. Want a $200 Gift card plus $20 Visa card. Call: 877-792-0493.  

Phone that sent text was: 917-348-4536.

There's no point reporting these to the FCC since, since they don't do anything.  I've reported 4 mobile test message spam of them to the FCC and got a response back for every single one of them saying that they are legal.  Accorrding to the FCC's on web site, the CAN-SPAM bill "does not apply to ?short messages,? typically sent from one cell phone to another, which do not use an Internet address."

Basically there's nothing we can do about these messages, which sucks cause they cost me 20 cents each.

Its a scam.  And WalMart has nothing to do with it.  

I know of 2 different scam that start like that.
1)  To get the card you have to agree to join some sort of shopping club.  The club costs $49/month.  Its useless and hard to cancel.  You end up paying $300 or more for that card.  This scam is legal.  

2)  To get the card you have to pay a small shipping or handling fee by credit card.  Or maybe you have to prove you are you by giving a credit card number.  The scammer uses your card number to spend all your money and never sends the gift card.  This is illegal but the scammer moves often and is impossible to catch.

Delete the message.

We Never Text anyone!  Your information is wrong!  We use the leads we buy (Opt-in Leads) to make one call...then if a person is not interested we move on.  The only number on tht list that belongs to us is for receiving calls from those who show interest, and LeadNet Pro is only supposed to dial numbers when which we set them up to do...one time during afternoon hours.  We have stopped doing business with this company because of the trouble working with them has caused us.  I do not know if they are responsible or if someone broken into there files, in any event we NEVER send Text Spam of make calls after early evening hours.  I would love to know if you every recieve such a spam or call originating from 317-755-4077 .  That is the only one that belongs to me.  And since I do not use it to make calls, if someone else is, I  want to know!!  Seriously, I am as much of a victim here as all the rest of you!  I can only act on information I have.  I have been told by the company that answers that number for me that it can not text and that it can not dial out the way I have it set up!  Please, help me help you.

Obviously they work for Walmart... RUSSIANS!!

Got 2 text messages today giving this number to get free $200 gift card and $20.00 Visa card.

Got a text message from them offering a gas card and Wal-Mart gift card. Went along with it to see why I was getting this offer and they said because I visited a website. Don't think so. I dont remember entering my cell phone number. Don't trust this number.

So about 4 days ago I started getting unsolicited calls from a series of numbers 201-256-5519, 877-654-3468, 210-535-7602, 877-450-6614, 646-338-8558, 276-206-9826, 646-420-9412, 877-792-0493, 650-556-4341, 877-711-5429, 310-600-5846, 818-216-9227, 702-354-1441, 866-922-9526, 949-302-1494, 217-862-4276, 866-605-9160, 661-310-2107, 317-755-4077 these are calls and m-spam (mobile text spam) unsolicited and unwanted. I tracked down one company so far: cashgiftstoyou.com registered to Bruce S. Holden, 503 Best Ave, Dekalb, Ill 60115, his email is brucesholden@yahoo.com and his direct # is #815-349-6709 he said he purchase this list from a legitimate company Leadnetpro.com owned by click marketing Inc. admin@leadnetpro.com, 1944 Catalina Drive, Woodbury, MN 55125, #612-605-8640 or ECS Consulting Inc.
