A guy named Donald Blaine called my wife and told her that Citibank has a lawsuit against her for unpaid credit card debt.  He would not release any info but said the law suit has been filed and gave a case #87407.  I looked that up on the Superior Court website and no such case exists.  I called up Citibank and verified with them that there is no such lawsuit against my wife.  In fact, the only account she ever had with Citibank has been closed for years.  I called back the number and spoke to a woman named "Mrs. Childs" and she was nasty and would not provide any paperwork regarding the lawsuit.  After arguing with her to provide such paperwork, she hung up.  I called back Citibank again and spoke to another supervisor who told me to Google the phone number.  I did and this is how I came across this website.  He was right...it's a scam.  Those bastards!!!

MY SON RECEIVED A CALL FROM A MISS BARNETT AT THE ABOVE PHONE NUMBER AND SAID HE SHOULD CALL IMMEDIATELY OR HAVE HIS LAWYER CALL ABOUT A CASE # SO AND SO.  MY SON LIVES IN CALIF AND ME IN MISSOURI.  I WAS VERY UPSET AND CALLED HIM WITH THE INFORMATION.  HE CALLED BACK AND TOLD ME TO IGNORE ANY FURTHER PHONE CALLS AS THEY WERE A SCAM.   I HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANY YET BUT I SURE EXPECT THAT I WILL.

I just reported these criminals to the FTC as well....PLEASE DO THE SAME! It is so easy to do and can be done online! Make a difference and stop these jerks...before anyone else pays because they are scared!!

I have also been getting reports from family members of these calls. I did call and attempt to see what it was they were talking about and it was about a Citibank account that has been closed for quite some time. They also threatened me with issuing me a summons in a County that I have not lived in for 15 years. I decided to Google their ph number to see where it lead me and here I am. I am relieved to know hat I am not the only one feeling crazy! I am definetly looking into filing a complaint and hopefully stopping these idiots...it's a horrible thing to do! They have never called on my own phone, just other family.

I got a phone call today from this company. They asked if I was the person who had XXXX as my last 4 digits of my social. I asked him what this was about and he said I was being recorded. So I still didnt know. He told me that Verizon had hired him to put a summons on me for a debt I supposedly owed. The problem is that the debt was resolved and he contacted my relative who I don't even talk to. He said he was going to summon me to court and he would not provide a bill or anything. Very strange. Be  careful

This debt collection agency left a message on my voicemail for my brother.  They pretended to be attorneys.  There may actually be a scavenger attorney on their staff.  They threatened to have someone come to his home or place of business if we did not return the call.  We did, and the ignorant woman who answered would not give us her address or name.  She demanded our bank account and routing number and threatened to sue us for five times the amount if we did not give her the money.  I have filed complaints with the FTC, TX and NY Attorney General's office and notified the New York State Bar Association.  There are about six federal lawsuits against this company.  What they are doing is illegal, and you can sue them for up to $1000.  Let's take them down!

Gopt a call from Mr. Carey, I returned the call. Was put on hold. When I hung up after several minutes, I got a call right back from Doanld Blaine. He said I had a court case, gave it a number 133424. Absolutely false info. I hung up on them.

A Mr Curry called my ex-husbands house and said they were looking for me to serve a summons for a court hearing and if I did not return there call they would have our local sheriffs department looking for me to be served a warrant. I took upon myself to google them because when my son upset by the message I called the number and it was a recording....I hope something can be done about this. Again The man said Mr Curry with Graham Noble and Associates anf for my convenience he left a toll free number.What a bunch of losers to scare my family members these people need to be prosecuted. Said the case number was#13338 and I know that's not our local court case numbers. He blocked the call from the caller id but left that toll free number.

Call came in from this number claiming a legal/civil matter with another person unfamiliar to us.  Bogus "docket" number.  Black female left message, same person answered phone (with noise in background, not typical office noise,more like children) Would not give nature of business nor address.  Threatened me with arrest - told me to have 2 ID's ready when they come to serve me!   Federal Trade Commission will love this one!  As does my lawfirm!

We all have to get together to stop these folks and in this economy - it is hard enough to keep your money let alone give to scam artists who do this for a living.  I received 4 calls from relatives, with the same messages as above, scared that something was going on.  Thank goodness, I have a relative in the criminal justice system and he checked on the bogus case number and there is no such case.  DO NOT give these folks any of your information.  Report them and keep all the recordings you have.  I have paid all of my outstanding debt off and contacted all of my current cards to be on alert.  They are looking for people that will give them information - don't do it.  I called the company number to explain that I contacted the local Sherriff's department and the attorney general's office and guess what?  THEY HUNG UP ON ME! Be aware everyone!

Someone from this # called my Sister-in-law, and left a message on her answering machine from Inspector Baker and that her relative, ME, was under serious investigation involving a warrant.   My sister-in-law called me when she returned from out of town, very concerned.  I told her not to worry they had tried the same thing on my Parent's home phone saying they were with the Martin County, Tx's District attorney's office and that I needed to contact an attorney immediately.   What a CROCK.   The interesting thing is that they never call me and only call people that have maiden name.

I received a call from a Jessica Barnett with the Graham Nobel company too.  They left a message on my answering machine that I or my attorney, needed to call back immediately or possibly be served a summons at my work place or home.  They also had my 4 digit SS#, the last numbers.  When I called them back they claimed they were trying to collect an outstanding balance on a JCPenney account that was closed in 2001!!  Ms.Barnettt tried to be sympathetic and said she didn't think they would want to lose me as a good customer after 20 years, over a mere $400.00.  I told her I would contact JCPEnney and talk to them.  They claim my account was marked CLOSED...not sent to collections and they say its in archives and its sealed!!  

This company I believe is a fraud...I will not answer my phone!!

Got a call from a supposedly Investigator Littlejohn stating a relative of my husband - named Kelly LaDue (have no relative by that name and never heard of it before) listed him as a blood relative and to call him back at the number. My husband did call him back and he asked if he knew this person and as stated above, no. The "investigator" wasn't rude or anything but thought it was really strange call.

The next morning I talked to my mom and she had received the SAME call last night stating that Kelly LaDue had listed her as a blood relative.

The case number he said was 96792

They keep calling all my relatives that live on the East Coast of whom I don't even have phone numbers for. Mr. Edwards is the one who calls stating that there is a warrant out for me and that I will be arrested if I don't cooperate and give them money. Each time they call it's to a new relative and again someone who I rarely talk to if ever. Only scary part is that they have my license number.

They called and got my answering machine stating all of the above and then some. The funny thing is that I no longer live in that county, so even if it was legitimate, not only would they need to leave that county, but go to another state! They also said that they believed my SSN's last 4 digits were XXXX and they were totally incorrect.

These buttheads called my house Friday when I was at work and freaked my wife out by saying that I had a relative that was under investigation (name was wrong).. Needless to say that we were concerned.  I looked up the number and behold a big-fat scam.  I have recorded the call and forwarded it to a friend of mine that works with the US Atty's office in Minneapolis (and contacted my local police).  Don't confirm ANY information, don't give them squat.

Mr. Edwards called my inlaws and stated that I had civil and criminal charges and needed a lawyer and would need to respond with in 48 hours or they would file the charges with the county court house. When I called back I was informed that it was for an account that had been settled over 3 years ago, I told Mr. Edwards I had paperwork at home to back this up and when I got home I would call him with the receipt info.  He just kept informing me that I was being recorded on a federal line and it would be used in court against me.  I just kept telling him I was certain I had taken care of this and would get back to him with the info he then told me if I did not call him back the next morning the charges would be filed.  I asked how this was possible when I was positive this had been paid off, he said I had probably been scammed by the company I had paid and would still have to pay this.  The amounts he kept giving me were NOWHERE even close to the amount of the original bill and when I said so he just continued to argue.  I did call them back the next morning by the time stated but got a recording for Graham Nobles and Assoc. desk of Michal Bernstein.

Ms. Taylor called threatening to get a warrent for my arrest on my parents home phone if I did not call back in 24 hours.  What scam!

Someone called me going by the name of "investigator Carol" about a pending civil action against me stating that if I don't respond within 24 hours they would issue a summons for me. They had to much information about me and couldn't even prenounce the county I reside in. Such as information that can only be found on your credit report. There message would always say ext. 101 or 192. So I decided to research the company and all information returned scam and fraud results. So, beware of this scam and keep a look out for this illegal company.

And they are most likely collecting on accounts past the SOL

Record phone calls were leagal. These people violate so many FDCPA laws it's not even funny and never under any circumstances give them your banking information.

Called my mother in law, told her that I was invovled in a case and gave her a case number and everything.

THEY CALLED A FAMILY MEMBER! I DONT EVEN HAVE HER NUMBER.  LIVING A MESSAGE THAT THEY ARE REPRESENTING ME AND IF I DID NOT GET BACK TO THEM I WILL BE ARRESTED. HELLO A***OLES IF YOU WERE REPRESENTING ME, WHY WOULD I BE ARRESTED?  AND I DID CALL, NEEDED TO FIND OUT WHY, DID NOT ASK ME FOR SS# OR MY ADDRESS.  TOLD ME THAT I AM BEING SUED, AND IF I DID NOT COMPLY, BLAH BLAH, SHE WAS SO RUDE, DIDN'T EVEN SAY HER NAME.  SHE TOLD ME I WILL BE ISSUED A SUMMONS TOMORROW AT MY HOME OR OFFICE.  HELLO WHERE DO I LIVE AND WORK, SHE SAID I CANNOT GIVE OUT THAT INFORMATION, OF COURSE NOT STUPID YOU DON'T HAVE IT.  

TO THINK THEY CAN PULL A FAST ONE ON ME! HELL NO.

Call from Ms. Goldstein @ x174. Left message on my machine giving a court case number and saying if I didn't respond, a warrant would be issued. I called them back and told them to keep calling me, so I could document the harrassing phone calls.  I told them the harrassment was against the law and that the more documentation I had, the better MY case AGAINST THEM would be.  They haven't called me back...LOL!

same thing - try to intimidate me and my parents by saying that they are going to sue me for an account that was closed OVER 10 YEARS AGO! JACK***ES! lol.... give me a break - they sure do get upset when you refuse to confirm your social secruity number...

Individual called the home of my husbands ex-wife and a message saying that I was a defendent in a court case, and that if I did not respond a warrant for my arrest would be issued in the state of Georgia. Call the number and it was a bill collector.

My family members also received the same phone call, they had some of my private information, however when I called they wanted me to give them all my info. I contacted a credit lawyer and viewed my credit report today and there is nothing stating outstanding or anything from this company requesting information. I have contacted the Attorney General about these people, if you want to call them that. It's horrible but once again I think I'm falling victim to identity theft AGAIN!!!

SCAM ARTISTS.  Caller was female and pretending to already have a case filed in court here where I live.  Having worked in a call center myself (NON collections, thank you)  you could tell she was reading off a script.. and she wasn't familiar with it, she messed up a couple of times. She also mis-pronounced the name of the county I live in and they asked for me by my old married name, which I ceased using 5+ years ago.  The real fun part?  The "case number" given on the voicemail is not in the format used by our local county courts.  Fail.
