Just sat down to dinner and the phone rings...
Caller ID shows "Toll Free" and this number 877-795-2270... Xo, I don't answer.
Two more bites later... "Toll Free" number rings the phone again... This time the number shows as 877-795-2271...

I get the calls from 877-795-2271.  I just got one and called back and told them to get my number off of their list.  The woman who answered said it can take a "month or so" to get my number "completely out of the system".  So annoying.

I want this number to stop calling my house 4 or 5 times a day!

I just called the number back and asked them to take me off of any and all of their calling lists. They took down my name and number and said that it would be done within 30 days. We'll see if they follow through. Everyone that is getting calls from here should just call them back and have the number taken off their list.

Received a call from this today.  They asked for my wife with her ex's name, I told her that person doesn't live here anymore, and she hung up.  After 7 years (it will be 7/1!), if they don't know her correct name, then they have no reason to be calling her.

This a-hole calls every day 5 times a day. He use the whole sequence of numbers to 2279. Finally got an answering machine that says "this is Bruce, leave a message and I will call you back". Bruce got a message from me about deleting his(00)'s....but I bet he still calls back.

I found out this company is called ODI "Organizational Development Inc" They are a company that calls on behalf of Kid's Wish Network, Vietnam Vets or America and the American Breast Cancer Society to name a few. They pretens to be a charity but they are not. They are telemarketers that call FOR the charotys and probably make a little of the money when you choose to donate! I hope someone reports them. They are spamming me as well. Their direct number is: 1-877-795-2271. That is the trick. They call from 2270 and their is no way to call back. Call them at this number and they will answer! Several times a week for the last 6 months.

Three calls from 877-795-2270 on my caller i.d. in under a week.
When I call this number it is busy. How do I get them to stop calling me!
I am not even sure if they leave a message. But, it is getting very
bothersome.

I called them back.  They said they were a charity.  What type of legit charity continues to call and hang up.  Seems as though they are just a SCAM.

Caller ID says "Tollfree Number" and the number.  They don't leave messages, nor even wait for the answering machine

I was told it was the Florida Police Benevolent Assn.  Same thing has been happening to me.  I went to their website (flpba.org) and called the contact number there, and was given this number to call: 800-894-9555.  The woman who answered said she would remove my name immediately.

Following up--I just filed a complaint with the FTC about this and 877 795-2279 (alleged firemen).  I failed to mention that I'm also on the DNC list but these calls apparently are exempt--these are the people I do not want calls from!  Can't win.

This number is so-called police looking for donations.  I donated $15, they called back within a week asking for more, not realizing I had already paid and asked that they stop calling.  These calls come every day, several times a day.  I usually let the answering machine take them.  Once in a while I pick up the phone and not say anything.  They hang up, and then immediately call again.  I have tried to block this number with my AT&T call blocking but continually get an error message, saying the number is incorrect.  CAN ANYONE HELP ME?  

Another number frequently calling are so-called "firemen."  877 795-2279.  They have the same harassing techniques.
