I just got a call from this number.....they are claiming to be ALLIED Hire State investagators to collect debts.....their very rude and even left a message for my employee.....just a bunch of fraud wanting your money cause if not "you will be arrested" for a collection unsecured debt.   Really????  Lol!!!!   Good thing this was already out on the news and most of my hometown is keeping tabs on these people.....can't wait to see what happens to them.......1st if it was legit, they would have the dasity to send you fax or mail explaining the debt.............smucks!!!     They make up companies.....So another one is this one too....ALLIED...

There is never anyone there, sometimes there is music. They call at all hours of the day, including weekends. This is getting really annoying.

They call constantly. Never leave a message. It shows up with only a number & no name on my caller ID, so I refuse to answer it.

Wow ~ I certainly understand from reading comments you all know what I've been through as well. I have some information that will hopefully help some if not all of these issues...at least it's a try right?  Okay - after many hours of extensive research try:
First) Never give them your home or cell number on any accounts to begin with - I use my work # they are not allowed to harass you there. If you already have and know that you're not going to be able to make your payment(try working with them - the ones that do will get my business once I'm back on my feet) go to their website and delete your cell/home # immediately or Second) Program their number(s)in your phone and set the ring tone to "no ring".
Third)Send/fax them this Cease & desist letter:

To Whom It May Concern:
  You are hereby notified to CEASE & DESIST in any and all attempts to collect the alleged debt by phone.  You may however, limit all communications to written correspondences only.  Any future calls by you or your collection agent(s), and or your representative(s) is construed as Malicious Harassment under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act Section 805-C [15 USC 1692C]

If they call you after that call 1-877-382-4357 and file a complaint with the FTC.
Don't be afraid to call the FTC if the calls continue. - PEACE & Sanity restored. Works for me ~ Good luck

I BEING RECEIVING SO MUCH CALL IN ONE DAY FROM THE 877-801-2798. IF YOU CALL THIS NUMBER THEY DON'T ANSWER, GIVE YOU ANY INFORMATION. I CALL MY CELL COMPANY THEY ONLY STOP IT FOR THREE MONTH AND YOU HAVE FOLLOW-UP TO LET THEN KNOW TO BLOCK THE PHONE. PLEASE FCC LET'S THE PUBLIC KNOW WHAT ARE YOU DOING CONCERN ABOUT THIS ISSURE.

These calls begin at 8:20 a.m. and they call hourly up to 9:00 p.m.  They never leave a message and I no longer answer their calls.

Been receiving calls from this number.  Refuse to answer it when I dont know who is calling.

These people are calling before 9 am on Sunday. No issue, we're early risers here. But Federal law is not observed by these third parties. If they don't stop it, I'll be forced to declare bankruptcy, which I'd like to avoid. But after several letters stating that my interest rate was being increased because I was paying down my card and trying to bring DOWN my credit ratio, they took steps to raise my minimum payment and interest, and close my accounts without an option for me to close them first.

Note that up until recently, I was paying at least the minimum on time, and not using the most of the cards at all.

Of course, this is stimulus money put to good use to get our banks back on their feet?

i get calls from this number several times a day.  no message.  nobody at the other end. i am registered with donotcall.org.

Here is what is happening:
Sprint re-issues the old phone numbers to new clients.  The Collection Agencies do not know that it has been re-assigned.  As a result, they call you thinking your are the one who owe them money because of the phone number.  So, answer the phone, and let them know that you are not the one owing money.  Give them warning, and get the name of the person you talked to, time, and contents of conversation.  Then you can sue them.

Here is a tip.   If you dont answer and they dont leave a message they can keep calling you back.....They are only allowed to make contact 1 time a day so the best thing is to answer.  If you dont they will keep calling and it is not illegal,  however once you talk to them and they call you back beyond that one time, now they have violated the law.  Answer, talk to them, dont commit to anything and then terminate the call.  If you are behind on a bill they will call. They are not a collection agency they are the bank   I used to work for them.  a computer dials the phone and the only way to get your number out of the dialer is for them to make contact

CALLER ID  #  877 - 801 - 2498  IS MOST LIKELY IN A  "CM" NETWORK THAT BUYS,  SELLS,  AND  TRADES  IN  THIS INFORMATION  WITH  THEIR  CM  GROUP.

The problem with these low life credit company is that they have computers calling for them. So it's just a matter of inputting our number into the software and let the computer do the rest. That's why we're getting harrassed every minute of every day cause it's all automated. What makes this worst is that these systems are set up to hang up and call again if it gets a voicemail message. Hence everytime they call and you pick up, the computer put you on hold until the next available rep picks up. Who in the hell are they to call us to put us on hold?! Even when I call someone and get put on hold for any amount of time, it annoys the &*#$&* out of me! What makes you think I will hold for you? Have the decency to have an actual rep call and leave a freaking message. Maybe then I'll call you back! How are you going to get what you need from us by annoying us? I think their pea brains think, if we bully them enough, they'll give in. What a bunch of low life loser. I wonder how they got their business started in the first place with such a weasel a-hole mentality?

They started calling 3 days ago and have done so on a pretty regular basis since. A few times, they asked me to enter a card number and i was like hell no.. Other times they don't talk. And just now I answered and they waited and then said "Uh is Gina there?" and I was like no and then he said oh sorry. Like what's the point even. ugh.

You've started calling for the money owed on a number of credit cards. Thanks to this wonderful economy, I'm struggling to keep food on the table. Needless to say, I cannot pay you guys a penny. But it has to be said anyway. Oh well, I tried working with my credit card peeps but all they did was jack my rates to the point I could no longer make the minimums.

So now it's survival mode until I get enough cash to file for bankruptsy. At least then the calls will stop. That is unless they turn off the phone first!

What is interesting the caller doesn't leave a message but can hear a clicking sound, like they are ready to record whoever picks up the receiver.  Dumb as this maybe, no one can check-up on them.  Lot of wasted time and space and either side is really communicating.
