I got a call from someone named Jeff Holrock looking for someone named Ebony with my same last name.  He called my house twice leaving the same message that Ebony had better call cause the plantiff was going to go through with their lawsuit against her.  He said we've called you several times and you've ignored the call now we will be serving you at your home or your place of work.  How dare he, I didn't know who this was or what they were talking about.  I am not Ebony and there is no Ebony at my home.  I called this number 855-294-3552, caller Identified the company as the BA Group. I asked for this Jeff person and got transferred twice.  FIrst person asked me if I was black, then transferred me to someone else who asked me for the phone number that was called where the message was left.  I told him he ought to have that information since he called me.  He told me he had no time to play games with me on the phone and to give him the number, then put me on hold when I refused.  I hung up and he called me back 3 or 4 times, I did not answer the phone a couple times and one I did answer the phone he said hello and I hung up.  These people are scammers and I won't return any of their calls again.  I made the mistake of calling from my cell phone, tried to block my number out but they got it anyway.  I want to know who do I call to get this stopped, can anyone give me a number?

Well I got a call from my niece yesterday, she said these people were going to sue me and yada yada.... I'm like I don't owe anyone anything so I am not concerned.  This morning I decided to "Google" this BA Group and found you guys on here posting this information.  I tell you I thank God for the INTERNET!   We can make other people aware of this type of scam and relieve their minds.  Thanks to all who posted really!  I find it interesting that I have lived in the same address for 11 years yet I have not received one letter from any such group or been notified of any debts owed.

These people have been calling me for almost 2 years not- claiming they want to serve me court papers- they have called my former job and spoke with my manager and supervisors. The have called my aunt who lives in Louisiana- whose address and phone number I don't have saying they would serve me at her house. I have contacted them and asked them to stop with the calls and they do for a while then back to calling all my distant relatives- they called my step mom and my cousins grandmother (who is no relation to me whatsoever) I want these people to leave me and my family alone!!!!

Actually myself, and ironically my step-mom, have received now 2 calls each from these scammers.  It happens at the same time these past times.  Today I get to give them my fill.  Only it was a Jeff Hallrock.  Best part is when you call them back, you first must have disturbed there hangover.  They have no LEGAL information in which you can truly do anything but pay them money.  Because that is all they want.  Stupid scammers.  Hate them all!

i just got a call from a chris shaffer. stating that he needed to make sure i would be home to receive papers i have not called the number yet but it is 855-247-1941. Does anyone have any info on the BA Group.

I received a call from a Chris Shaeffer who, in his best "bad lawyer voice" stated that I better return his call or he would be sending a summons to my home tonight. Then he left a number and stated that this was my court docket number. The number he left was 855-854-8536. I started getting calls like this over six months ago and then filed with the "no call list with the FTC and the FCC." As usual, our Federal Government is worthless because these damn fools are calling again. I recommend that everyone get a phone answering device and screen your call. These companies float along and hire another group of jerks to make these calls from a list of "old debts" that you might have filed for bankrupcy or whatever,etc. This is easy money for them if they can scare the s*** out of you with their tactics. If they collect 50% of the debt,then it all free because they keep selling and moving around these old receivables list. Our unionized government is worthless when it comes to stopping these idiots. If the "heat" goes after them, they just pull the phones and find a string of new numbers and locations. Keep in mind our borders are wide open and we have the border agents. Still over 80 billion dollars in drugs still gets into Texas and Arizona from Mexico. That should tell that we have no Government to depend on for help. Just forget it and don't answer your phones unless you can screen them. Best of luck and stay happy.

They are also calling from a 855-854-8536. They would not give you any info about were they located. Just start aking questions about them and they hang up. I have recieved calls from a processor to deliver papers at my home or job.

They called my aunt home in a different county and left a number for me to call. I was told that I had a Case with them about a fradualant check. As they claim (sike), i don't even do checks now and when i did I never did a payday loan. After calling I spoke with a guy by the name of Alan Belcolm whom told me that I had to pay 550 dollars to keep my case from going to court and that he knew of an account that was listed in my name. He also stated that they would serve the summons at my job and by me being a nurse that I would loose my job. He then proceeded to ask for an account for me to deposit the money and they would drop the case. He gave me a fake case number with a number that I could reach him or another guy. This guy name was Jeremy turner and their contact number is 855-854-8536. When I began to question where were they located to make sure that they were with the bbb he told me that I did not need to know that and refused to give me any info. After that he hung up in my face. A restricted number called 5 min later saying that he was trying to reach me. I will not loose sleep another night about this they are scammers!

This BA Group has been calling me and my husband's family stating I wrote a bad check and need to contact them or they were going to send a summons to me at work and at my home. So far no one has contacted me. But they keep harassing my family. I would like to know how to make them stop calling!

They called my father and left a message with him regarding a "summons". I called them back and it had to do with a payday loan I took out with Check n Go and defaulted on a year or two ago. They asked for my address to send a "process server" out to give me papers. Don't be intimidated by their verbiage, I think it's just another collection agency using scare tactics. Luckily they called and wanted to "serve" me while I'm preparing my bankruptcy filing, so they actually did me a favor by giving me the most up to date information on my defaulted cash loan.

Me and my mother got calls from these people today. I checked and the "docket" number they gave me doesn't exist. They are a collection agency searching for people. If you have a debt that hasn't been taken care of then this is their way of getting your attention. Its illegal for them to release your collection info to people other than you. I am getting my lawyer involved tomorrow morning. BE CAREFUL

Sam Jennings called today trying to get my daughter's phone number. Same story, a Process Server, Breach of Contract, Bad checks. And, BAGroup (877-418-8784) which was answered by an answering system. Now how he got my number and name is very distressing.

I also just spoke with Jeremy at BA Group and he stated they were a legal department called ADR Firm. I told Sam Jennings the "processor" who was looking to serve me my summons not to call my job and they turned right around two weeks later and called again! He said no outgoing calls are made from their office until I told him of the violation of my rights for calling after I notified them of calling and not to call. Some how he mysteriously was able to pull up the calls made to me. He stated he was needing to update my home address to send the paperwork to my house. He said if I refused to give him my home address he would send the papers to my job and give them to my supervisor. I then said well I'll have my LAWYER call you back and tell you were to send the papers. He began to stutter and say well if you would just give me your address there is no need to get the lawyers involved. I stated well I'll just contact my lawyer or better yet the police and they can deal with it because as far as I know you could be trying to scam ME or come attack me at my home. He said FINE have your lawyer call then and hung up in my face.....if anyone has any good information on them PLEASE post!!!

PS. I called the number and talked to a Jeremy. I asked for their address and he said, which one and they had three. He gave me 14525 S.W. Millikan Way, Suite 39521 in Beaverton, OR 97005. I can't seem to locate a BA Group at that address. I asked him if B.A. was short for anything and he said no. Going online to Oregon's Corporate Records Search I typed in BA Group and it came up with Base Asset Group. Which I can't seem to find information for. If someone else does, please let me know!

A man called me and my sister, leaving a voicemail stating he has a Summons to serve me with regarding a bad check I authorized. Stated he wanted me to contact him to meet so he could serve me and would actively try serving me at home and my job. He didn't leave a contact number or state his company. He told me if I wanted more information about the summons to contact the Plaintiff directly at 877-801-9736 and refer to a docket number. I filed a complaint with the FTC because there is no legal summons filed against me in any court in my state and the docket number is fake. It is a violation of the FDCPA and a scare tactic....

They also called me and used my full name asking about me writing a bad check. I haven't written a check in over 3 months so, kiss my a**! Do not give them any info, get an attorney or lawyer so you know your information is kept confidential if you really want to know if this is a scam or not. I've also had a call from another strange number that said I was seen writing a check for over $10,000 and it was fraud and if I didn't provide the money or proof I wasn't there I'd be sued. They asked for my social and what not -DO NOT GIVE IF YOU DO NOT KNOW EVERY DETAIL! I asked if I could drive up there and be involved in the investigation and see the tape so I could maybe point out who wrote the bad check - they said NO - red flag! Scammers scammers scammers trying to make a living by stealing money from innocent people. It's a real inconvenience and stressful when you get these calls because no one wants to hear that they might have possibly gotten their identity stolen and so forth. SOMEONE HELP US PUT THESE LOW LIFE A** HOLES TO JAIL!!!

whoever this is is calling my entire family even my husbands family. they say its the ba group something about bad checks. i have never written bad checks and i cant get a hold of them. If anyone knows anymore about them please respond... thank you
