It was a phony credit card with us, too.  It took about three months to clear up the mess, but, eventually Experion took it off the credit report and we're sure that the other credit reporting agencies will follow suit as soon as they are notified.

The problem here is that most of what is being said about the evils of this "collection agency" is true.  Check out Jones,Myers and Associates out of Florida.  That's where this all starts.

Well, Joey boy, do you work for them, too.  Nothing you say or do will wipe away the s**t that "Brown, Myers", "Jones, Myers", or whatever they call themselves tomorrow, spreads around the country.

Let me point out that Jones, Myers & Associates AKA Brown, Myers AKA RPG and on and on do many of the things mentioned here.  They are a scam--period.

And why does a "legitimate" business such as the one you apparently work for have a different phone number every other week?

First of all to address the couple of posters that are claiming some of us on here are disgruntled ex-employees. If this is the case then why does BM&A have a BBB rating of F? Secondly there is a little thing called the "Fair Debt Collection Practices Act". Among other things, what this does is prevent collection agencies from calling at unreasonable hours (9pm-8am), threaten to have you arrested, threaten to take legal action against you (suing you), curse at you, and calling you at work if you inform them that your employer does not approve of it. These are all things that BM&A do on a regular basis. They refuse to release their mailing address when they are required by law to do so. This is so you can't send them a cease letter which I doubt they would honor anyways. Another thing that the FDCPA does not allow is for collection agencies to identify themselves as lawyers if they are not....something else BM&A does regularly. BM&A has been contacting me for over two months for a "payday loan" that I allegedly received. I requested proof of the debt the very fist time I spoke with them and have yet to receive anything from them. They are required to provide this information within 5 day of the request. I am a professional that make six figures and have absolutely no reason whatsoever to take a payday loan. Upon first receiving these calls I suspected some sort of identity theft so I check with all three of the major credit agencies and there is nothing outstanding. I expect this type of thing from Nigeria but who would have ever thought that these companies would be allowed to continue to operate in the US?

I got a call from them last week talking about a credit card card account I had in 2006  with Clout Visa and  they was suing me for $3,100.00 when I initially owe the company $1300.00 He said they was suing because I bridged a contract. I was OKaayy what contract...expecting him to read verbatim of exactly what part of a contract bridge. That is when he started talking dumbfounded to me.  I told him the only thing I can pay him at the moment was $40.00 a month. He then said, that will not work. They are not going to settle for that. He said the less they would take is 200.00 a month or he could get them to settle to about 700.00, but I have to pay that amount at one time. I was i'm sorry but I will not be able to do that. Then he started to harass me which lead to me hanging up the phone. When I called back to apology. He told me he did not have time to deal with me and he tried to work with me and I did not want to take his advice. I told him I was trying to work with him and what he is telling me is out of my reach and money do not grow on trees. He got mad and hung up in my face. I called him back and told him that we are even now, since we hung up in my face too. He then was like we have nothing to talk about, He going to go ahead and file the paper work to have me summon. I was ok, I will talk to my attorney.  To cover my butt and because I did not feel comfortable sending money to a third party company. I tried to get in touch with clout visa to work something out with them. Come to find out... there is no more Clout visa. They was brought out by M and I Bank, Web Bank, MBNA, then Bank of America. I called all these bank to see if I owe them some money... No one found my account. At this point I knew this company was not legit, because they said Clout Visa was suing me, not Bank of America. I officially have there number brought and will be reporting them to the BBB.

I got a call from the same # you did. The guys name is Mr Russell. He was nice until I told him that I didn't take out an online payday loan in 2008 and then try to resettle in 2009.  When I asked for the name of the company that I supposedly got the loan from, he could not tell me. He also couldn't tell me the exact date or exact amount. Just any notes in the system. When I asked for documentation that I owed this he could not provide and told me he didn't have to. He kept cutting me off and wouldn't let me talk. When I told him to "shut up and let me talk" he told me that he doesn't even let his mother tell him what to do so he isn't going to let me. He threatened to press fraud charges. I told him to please do that because then I would get the documentation I wanted. They can't press charges with it..... DO NOT TRUST! I WOULDN'T GIVE HIM A CENT EVEN IF I HAD ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD.

Its true! Do not pay these sexual harassers a dime. They are a fraudulent company located in Tampa and New York. Jose Rodriguez IS a certified sexual harasser. He has multiple charges filed against him from former employees and he was just recently terminated for this. This company obviously does not conduct background checks and maybe if they did, their wouldnt be anymore rude employees calling trying to get personal check info to proceed with  their identity theft investigation! Losers!

I had my husband (who is an attorney)do research on Brown Meyers & Associates/ Law Office of Ryan L Copeland due to the multiple phone calls they were making to get a hold of my son about a payday loan. Come to find out this company employs convicted felons, and the director Mr. Jay Rodriguez is listed as a sexual harasser along with a Darren Gonzalez! This was all the information needed to understand that this company is absolutely unstable! Clearly they have no regards of who they employ and further more what idiot hires without background checks? These are unorganized debt collectors with a bad reputation and it makes no sense to pay when they will probably be shut down due to the illegal ways they try handling people!

Yeah got a call from 1-877-509-0403 Andrew Jacobs saying a complaint was filed against me. Left a message on my cell Yesterday and again this morning. I am not calling back. Good thing for the internet and the feedback left at this forum. Nice you can Look people up and get the scoop on them.  Sooner or later I hope the calls will stop. Not going to acknowledge with a call back.. Will keep ya'll updated...

I got a call from this number saying that my name, bday, and social security number had been used in a fraudulent scam and that I should contact them immediately.

Returned their call and they said I didn't sound like myself...WTH! Refuse to proceed without last four of my social. Screw it!

Received a call from these people today on my cell phone left a message saying I had a violation involving my name, social security # and address and to call back and reference a docket number. Before calling I googled them first and glad I did...seems they have a bad reputation as a debt collector for payday loans...which I did have almost six years ago in another state that I paid!!! Won't be calling them back...thanks for the heads up. They called from phone number 855-204-7726.
