I got a call today and they left a message saying they were "World Recovery Service, LLC a debt collection company calling to collect a debt.  They said call 877-813-1677 today between 8:00 am to 7:30 pm. The caller ID was 614-360-9206, Columbus, Oh.  They were asking for my son who has not lived here in over 8 years. He had debt issues at one time, but we worked to help him clear them up. We ALWAYS required something in writing.  If others are saying they won't mail you anything, I am not calling them back. I will block both numbers.

Bottom line, if the account is past the statute of limitations for collection (i.e. taking legal action), they can't do zip.  Per the FDCPA, you should NOT pay any caller who refuses to MAIL a debt validation letter showing that you owe a debt and that they have the legal right to collect said debt.  Refusal to mail this DV letter within five days of their first call to you is a violation of federal law and you should not pay them.  Please do report them to the FTC, FCC and your state's Attorney General.

They have been calling me numerous times during my working hours being very rude.  I finally called them back last friday to get to the bottom of it.  They are trying to collect on a closed bank account. They demanded I pay or else. I tried to work out a settlement with them and they refused.  I called the bank myself later on that day.  They said the account was closed in 2006!  First of all it is past the statute of limitations for collections in our state and second of all they said they did not receive a call from World Recovery asking them if my offer was acceptable so World Recovery flat out lied.  Believe me if they have the nerve to serve me papers at work I will fight this in court.   Happy Valentine's Day to me.  Ruined my day.

I have been receiving repeated calls from World Recovery LLC  (1-877-813-1677) for over 2 months now. They always ask for Peter Renner, and in the first call, when I said there is no one here by that name, they insisted that they knew he lived here, as he has called THEM from my number!  When I declared that this was impossible, they became increasingly rude and argumentative. I gave them no personal information, and I no longer answer the phone when I see the the caller ID: TEXAS 1-214-932-1263. The two most recent voicemail messages have been a man's deep voice, not a woman's, and he is abrupt and slightly menacing. Today, after he spoke, a woman also came on and said that I should call 1-214-932-1263 if I do not know Peter Renner, so they can remove this number from their inquiries. So now there are 2 numbers. So very annoying?...

Its not valid if they send it to your email. It must be mailed by the USPS. Don't except any emails from these people. If they call you again tell them you want a letter mailed to your home address within five days or you will file a complaint against them with the AG office of your state and their state. If they refuse then the debt is void and invalid.

A collection agency can be fined and ordered to pay YOU if you show they use abusive collecion practice. You can file a civil lawsuit against them for doing so. read your rights and know what is and is not allowed for the debt agency to do.
Trust me most of them make mistakes and if you don't know what is not allowed they will get away with it. I think for each violations its a 1000 each time.

About a month ago some people called say they work with world recovery service and that I owed a debt of 206 dollars to a bank I had when I was in high school back in 2007 I tried to get them to send me some papers and they got mad at me and told me they was gone take me to court if I didn't pay it that day or they would take other legal actions I talk to 4 different people before I can get them to send me some kind of letter and they told me it would show up in my spam folder instead of my inbox so threw up a red flag there then I get the letter it's some bogus paper with a different amount on it than what they were asking for so I just gave them a green dot card with no money on it so they can leave me alone and blocked their number

How could it get me paid

I kept getting calls from this number to my cell - often they wouldn't leave a number but once they did and said they were trying to get in touch with someone unknown (to me) to collect dept.  Gave a phone number to call, and also this number to call to have my number removed.  Spoke to a "Jeff", gave him the number they've been calling and he told me he would have it removed right away.  Probably 15 seconds on the phone.

dont give these people any information. they dont tell you why they are calling. they are a scam. im afraid they were the ones who drained my bank accounts then told me i was in the negative and had to pay the fees for the fraudlegence and charges. tell them to contact your lawyer and dont answer any questions unless it is through your personal counsel. DONT GIVE ANY INFORMATION

I received several harassing phone calls, even emails, from a company claiming to be World Recovery Service.  They claimed I had a debt with Bank of America - which I do not and never have.  After filing complaints with the FTC and putting alerts on my credit through all the credit bureaus and Chex Systems, I received one final call from them.  During that call I informed them that any information they need from me needs to be directed to Bank of America to validate the information they are trying to collect (I had also called BofA and spoke with their fraud department) or they may call my lawyer.  I have not received anything further from them, however after telling them to contact BofA, they changed their story to US Bank.  Haha... which I also have never had any form of account through.  They are definitely fraudulent and very harassing.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION!

I have been getting the exact same calls and they are very rude and they will get you upset if you don't let it roll off your shoulders.  The guy that called me claimed that he would keep calling until I admitted that I was the person he said I was.  His name was Kyle Evans...I think he said his grandad was Bob.  Psychos.

Woke me up at 8:00am on a Saturday! Didn't answer the phone since I have Caller ID and saw it was an '877' number. I suspected an '877' harassment call.

I just blocked this number with my phone co. I don't want any more 8:00 am calls.

Look your name up. If you are like me there are more than one person living in your area with the same name. I so much as got paper work for not paying a school tution. I do not go to school. I am 63, so I know they have the wrong person. I just do not answer. Hope this helps

I got the some dumbass looking for a tamika on my cell phone.  The first woman i spoke to was a total Witch with a capital B.  I told her that i didn't know a Tamika.  She then started to call me Tamika.  When I told her again I was not Tamika and didn't know Tamika she gave me an address in my area and she again told me i was Tamika.  When I asked for her Supervisor she hung up on me.  I called the number back 877-813-1677 spoke with a man who didn't have a set of balls at all.  I told him that I was pissed about the other lady hanging up on me and I again told him I didn't know this person and wanted my name removed he started to tell me that he couldn't do that.  I told him that i would turn it over to the local authorities and suddenly he was able to remove my phone number from his list.

These do***e bags are absolute d***hits! This dumbass named Jeff called asking for someone that I dont even know. He must really love his job because during his ramble he yawned..I mean really? A yawn? Jeff can take this so called urgent matter and shove it up his a**! hahaha Losers!

World Recovery Services is the company.  they say they are calling for my husband on a wells fargo account.  I found this suspicious since he is deployed and i have been working with Wells fargo closely to get the account in the good.  They call several times a day and the ammount they are referencing is very old and what we actually owe is far less.  They also call his grandmother and harrass her.  I'm about ready to turn them into the Attorney General for trying to collect on a debt that isnt valid or even current.  I suggest you do not work with these people directly, call the company they tell you the debt is owed to and deal directly with them.  When i spoke to Wells Fargo they had not turned anything over to these people.

They called a work number and didn't leave any identifying information except the name Anthony Porter. There was no reason for the call nor who they are with.

So this number calls every damn day.. EVERY DAY! and a few times at that. lol and guess what I will continue to Ignore/Screen these calls EVERY DAY and will do so until one of us gets tired. I have never talked to such rude individuals in my life. They won't give any info, and won't mail you jack squat, yet they expect you to fork up money willingly to threats and with no proof. Short and Sweet, he sassed me on the phone and I hung up on his a**.

They call here at least once a day and ask for my son. They say he owes $75.  They won't say for what, and they won't send anything in the mail (gave them my P.O.Box) I tried turning them in to the FTC, I don't know what the result of that is, only if you do owe a debt that the FTC won't do anything to prevent them from calling. My next step will be, get a whistle and blow their eardrums out each time they call!!

These people are absolutely ridiculous! They left me rude messages. I have no idea what I have done to get these calls. They sound like they should be kicked in the teeth! I have been doing my best to try and catch them but it seems like no number shows up only a voice mail. What the hell kind of company is this. I am extremely livid!

This company left my 14 voicemails today saying I better call them or else. The last message they left I could hear someone in the back ground saying ? Did she answer?? This isn't even the bad part. I have no debt. I'm 16 & have a part time job on a work permit that my mom had to help me get. I don't know how to feel about this. My mom has done everything she possibly can to find out who they are and how they got my name and phone number and wr have nothing still.

This is the the same company that used to go by regent asset managment, RAMS and imperial recovery. U ask how do I know that? I WORKED THERE. they say they will take further action. But they don't have attorneys working for them. They teach FDCPA LAWS but no nothing about it. They violate it every phone call. They are third party not first party. Record these phone calls it will get you payed intstead of you paying them. Theres only a few respectable people there.

These people are rude and ghetto sounding.  They leave unprofessional messages, and cannot be reached by calling the number back.  I finally got to speak to a person today, and told them not to call this number again.  He then demanded another number to call.  I told him I would not do his job for him, do his own research and find another number, but not to call this number again.

Message was for a family member being told to call them right away.  It's some sort of collections and they are ringing my phone.
