So mad.  Just discovered $12.99 taken from my checking for at least 2 yrs.  I tracked the 877-816-8243 back to privacy guard.com.  It's ironic that this company would steal our funds. Found this on their website on the customer service page (aka CONTACT US).  However, if trying to cancel via their customer service page, there is no cancel.  Likely we have to call them or email below.

I have a charge on my Wells Fargo account in the amount of $15.99.  What is this?  I see this telephone number on my account (877-224-7430) and don't know what "DPR T" is.  I am being billed from this telephone number for something I did not authorize.  I want my money refunded.  I am suppose to keep a certain dollar amount in my checking account, now it's under that amount and I am affraid Wells Fargo is going to charge me a $5 fee for having UNDER the amount that is required to keep in my account.  I did NOT receive any phone call from the above number(s) if I did, I would not have authorized anything pertaining to Identity Theft because I have LifeLock.  What is going on, can someone go into your account with Wells Fargo anytime they feel like it?

To me its well worth the $12.95 a month, just to see who is checking my credit.  I have had this program going on 4 years now, and it helps me a lot.  I will keep this program, and it makes me feel safe to know who is checking on me.

I have tried to cancel  4 different times and they tell me every time that they are gonna keep me active and  every time I have been so mad and they wont cancel it!  I am being charged $15.99 a month for something I don't want since May 2012.

I closed out a Wells Fargo checking account last year by writing a check for the balance - some time later they credited $0.01 interest and I received statements for the past year showing the one cent balance.  Thought if they were that stupid, I wouldn't try to correct them.. Several weeks ago I started getting calls wanting $100 plus for "overdrafts" that were for some form of identity theft that I never ordered - I asked for any proof that I had ever ordered this = since, (a) I would never pay for id theft insurance and (b) if I would going to do so, it wouldn't be on a closed account.  No response except further harassing calls and letters.  I can't decide whether to tell them (yet again) to go to hell or whether to just pay this minor amount and be rid of them.  My only concern is that a payment would only bring further claims of monies due.  This a an outright scam by Wells Fargo (after several calls, I found out that the id insurance is actually issued by them).  Any thoughts?

Number belongs to Trilegiant which provides Identify Theft protection.  She said I had filled out and signed a solictation letter sent by Wells Fargo authorizing/requesting enrollment in the program. When I requested proof I had completed the actions she said I had she stated I would have to call the Proof of Enrollment department @ 877-224-7430.   She then said since I was requesting the service be terminated during the free 30 day trial period the fee would be refunded to my checking account within 7-10 days.

I have been charged 25.95 a month since January 2010. I called Wells Fargo bank and they could not explain the charge on my account but gave me a number to call. I called it and the person answered the phone Wells Fargo. They explained to me that I agreed to this over the phone in January 2010 and had 60 days to cancel. They said I must have received discounts or gift cards to enroll ( I never to this, never).  I explained that I NEVER do this and that I want my money back. I spoke to the "supervisor" and he state that a statement would be sent out then I would have to call back and dispute the claim. If Wells Fargo does not return my money I will be changing banks and pressing charges. This is so wrong. They dont have my signature, there has not been any notice of coverage or enrollment. I really believe this to be illegal  but this is the first time I am having to deal with anything like this. Any advice would be appreciated....

If you have ever submitted an application for loan modification on your home then that is one reason you will be receiving this letter.  Reason being, Bank of America will do a credit report check on you when you fill out the RMA form for home loan modification request through for the loan modification program provided by the government.  In doing so, they will probably enroll you in enhanced identity theft protection.  As a result, you will get notices stating you owe them money per month.  When you argue or wont pay, the Trilegiant corporation will try to ruin your credit by saying you did not pay (have creditors after you).  In return, you will possibly end up with bad credit and will not be able to get a home loan modification or be able to take out other loans to pay your debt.  As a result, the bank will try to foreclose on your property since you have been behind on many payments.  It's a sophisticated game being played by the banks.  This is what I gather from my analysis and I think the authorities should look into the matter.

I was charged 1.00 on Dec. 23, canceled on Jan.7th, now charged 15.99 On Feb. 2. I think Wells Fargo should find another company to do business with. They want my bank statement before refunding my 15.99. Bummer.

I got this as well. I had applied for a loan through wells fargo and they put this on my account. I swear I called immediately and cancelled it but I saw it charged to my account last night. I called today and they said they cancelled the account but they couldn't reverse the charges that JUST happened. Luckily I caught this because it would've made me bounce a check I just wrote. So frustrating! I hate crap like this!
btw... you can't cancel online (that wouldn't give them the opportunity to try to talk you out of cancelling).

I had success in canceling my service today and received a cancelation number.  I had to be rude and demand that it be canceled.  They won't respond to emails or contact requests through their website.  They won't accept cancellations any other way but over the phone, because they will try anything to get you to stay.  Just demand it canceled and escalate to a manager if they won't listen.  Good luck!

After receiving the packet with my name spelled incorrectly, and several attempts to get the spelling corrected to no avail...and being unable to register on their website because their verification service is a series of questions to verify your identity and their "system" determined that I lived in a different county than the one I actually resided in (our city is split between counties) and they had information that one of my former addresses was that of my late husband's ex-wife from 20 years earlier (I never lived there).....I resorted to sending them emails to document my efforts.  I never received a response to any of the three emails I sent.  I'm done.  I called them today to cancel the service.  They did everything in their power to get me to keep their service (even agreed to lower their price to $9.99/mo).  After my insistence (and I finally had to get rude), they canceled the service and provided me with a cancelation number.  They are refunding my last payment that was made 5 days ago, but informed me that it could take 1-2 billing cycles to do so.

This is a company that is endorsed by Wells Fargo Bank. It is a company that monitors all three of your credit reports and informs you via tele-phone call and/or e-mail that someone has opened an account in your name and if it's fraudulent will help you close that account immediately.

This company Santa Fe Mgmt company keeps calling my job, harassing my manager about a "legal" issue.  This company has called my cell phone, I have asked them to identify the debt, the agent says they can't. The agent Allison Bennett says that she needs to serve me with legal papers, but they are a debt collection agency and were HIRED to collect so they should know if they need an officer to serve me in Texas or NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!  This is some kind of FRAUD company and they need to be stopped!!!!
