I've received several calls from the number in recent weeks. Didn't recognize it and decided to look it up. Very annoying. I also got a call from another scam number: 202:249-9144. Apparently, there is a place in Verizon settings where you can block calls. I'm going to give that a whirl.

This is insane; someone calling several times day and night. They don't leave any messages. I won't pick up on a number I don't recognize.
There is no info online. I have Verizon Wireless on the telephone and they claim it's not them. I'm not letting them end this call until they either find out who it is or if they can block this number.
Verizon put a block on this number, at no charge, but it expires in 90 days. I can then go online to my account and put another block on this number myself.
I read in either AARP or the magazine Family Circle that certain prefixes, area codes, are from certain prank calls. If you answer the call you get billed $50.00. That's why I don't pick up on calls I don't know. If it's important they can leave a message.

It is not Verizon Wireless. Verizon does not make outbound sales call. Verizon sends text messages regarding usage allowance issues

I am sick and tired of this call. I have now gotten at least 20 calls from this number over the past week

It is Verizon wireless and they want to upsell me on text. They call me all the time. I answer during meetings, whispering "I told you not to call me here! I don't care how much money you are offering, I'm just not available right now". Helps during review time.

This number calls all hours of the day so finally I called it back from work and it was a Verizon Wireless .The message I heard was telling me I may need to upgrade my Texting plan.
If I wanted to Upgrade my account I would call them.

I received a call from them also,( several), just got a new phone for my Verizon plan, don't know how they got my number. Telling me I went "Over: in my texts, but I don;t have a texting plan.
If I want to speak to someone in Verizon CS I will call them.

THIS IS NOT VERIZON. I got the same call telling me i went over my texts. I have unlimited texts (so there's nowhere to upgrade). I called verizon to make sure, and after giving them the number, verizon told me "I assure you this is not us". They then told me to report it both to the fraud department of verizon, and to the better business bureau.
