Geri, why don't you just turn yourself in to the Department of. Justice now? You're full of baloney. There's no such thing as a pet AMBER ALERT, and yeah they do want money, as much as they can squeeze out of the grieving and gullible. Go flock yoself!

You DON'T THINK. That's the problem. No, it's FOR PROFIT, not nonprofit. It's all gibberish promises for money, they'll take as much as they can. They use guilt trips and lies to hurt sad, desperate folks who lost their pets. You've got a lot of bloody nerve saying "you haven't lost a pet so you don't know." A**. If you really cared about pets and people, you wouldn't assist scam artists rip people off. Maybe you work for them.

And you sound like a moron. Or, a shill for these creeps who prey on upset pet owners. Try to use your brain  -- there's no way to do what the pigflickers claim to do. It's a scam.  Do a web search for pet amber alert. Look at the artificially ginned-up "results." Go to the web service called Whois.com, and enter the websites you got in your results. See who the registered owners are. Nationwide, they all go back to the same web scum in Irvine, California. It's all the same evil money grubbing scene. If you are too naive or stubborn to accept this truth, try asking what the real owners of the name Amber Alert think about this dude and his handful of internet minions advertising AMBER ALERTS name and "technology." You should be talking with the U.S. Department of Justice, the FBI, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and your local police. Before you waste your money and have your heart broken,

No Caller ID so didn't answer.  If they are ligit, why don't they identify themselves?  Supposedly one of my "neighbors" has lost their dog - why doesn't my "neighbor" come to my door and ask me to help find it?  Something fishy here....

I let the answering machine pick it up.  Have no idea what the message was about because
it was all in Spanish.  I don't speak Spanish.

Just got a call for this number and I cannot believe the bogus calls I get,  thank God for caller ID on my TV, I make a point of never answering my phone anymore if I don't know who's calling.  I have also turned off my answering machine for these idiots cannot leave me a message.  I am on the DO NOT CALL list and it's a big joke if you ask me.

Just got a call from them.  Let it go to voice mail but they did list an option to "press 2" to opt out of calls.  Person lost not one, but two dogs!  I assume the nitwit owner had no collars on the dogs so if they did get away they would be easier to trace back to the owner.

Left message saying a neighbor had lost a dog and was offering a $1,000 reward??  But the location given has absolutely nothing to do with anywhere in this county, let alone this neighborhood.

The call-back number they give is for New York City, and the message says "lost in the area of Queens Blvd" (which indicates likely NYC area).  I'm in Florida.  So how am I supposed to find a dog lost in NYC when I'm in Florida?

I got strong impression that this is a major scam.  If you go to the website, it may launch malware.  If you call them, it may re-direct to another number which costs you money.  My advice is to just ignore the call - let it go to voicemail, and don't call them back or visit their website.  It's just not worth taking the chance.

I don't know if this is legit or not but since I'm on the DNC list and this is not a charity, poll or political call it's illegal.  If it was legit they should use their own name instead of "toll-free."  No message was left on the first call.  One the second, I happened, I had Van Halen blasting and as I have an excellent sound system on this 'puter I treated them to a few verses.

Sounds like a scam of some sort down the line, no name on caller ID Always makes me suspicious.  I've had a hundred phony calls over  the past few years, nothing like this. I never even heard of their web site and I'm not going to go into either.

I just got a call from this caller. Dog description given. Phone to call given.  Date dog was lost. I have been bombarded with telemarketers & donations. I admit, I also get upset about annoying calls. However, if I saw a dog I would try to find the owner. I hope all owner have their numbers on a tag attached to their pets. AT&T will not do anything. Reporting phone number does nothing. Do not call the numbers that show on your phone. It is alarming the amount of calls I get already knowing my information. Including alarm companies, they know amount and company you use. Just like your smart phone tells you how long it will take to get home.

Scam artists use stupid SEO's (Search Engine Optimizers, a kind of dishonest computer program) to try and trick real companies like Google, Bing, Yahoo, so that the bullshot criminal "websites" pop up first among the Results if your innocent and trusting search. In the olden days, snake oil salesmen had to travel from town to town looking for easy marks...NOW gullible or naive victims come to them online for free with no effort! Don't you be one.

Perfect example if what the internet experts call "domain-squatters" who, just like real bums and junkies who squat in empty houses do, conduct their skanky crimes there. Don't visit these websites any more than you would a spooky, boarded up house with unfamiliar weirdos scurrying around inside. You will be robbed, abused, stuck (knife dick or needle). Stay away!!!!!!!!

They ate for-profit.  By the way, ANYONE can buy a .org domain name (website). You or I could. Dirty companies like GoDaddy get rich buying up thousands of desirable-sounding web address...eventually, when someone wants to be fresh asparagus.org, for example, they find the name already taken, and the GoDaddy type of company says ha ha ha, we already own that name! Um, but we'd be happy to sell the domain name to ya -- for, say, $100,000, you big chump! That's really how it works. In fact, that's exactly what some if these fake petfinding scams do -- they buy up scads of cute doggy/kitty website names and fill them with made-up braggadocio, sentimentality, sales pitches and testimonials. They sometimes impersonate magazines, shelters, and legit petowner blogs, and look perfectly real. They provide links to real helping groups, like the humane society etc. -- but anyone can do that! Research it, if you've never built your own website. You don't need permission and the linked-to humane site may well not notice, that they're receiving some incoming traffic (that means, YOUR CLICKS) steered their way from crooks. OK?

Listen carefully -- you came to this site because you had a problem. Wait.

Soon thereafter, a bunch of eager conflicting comments come in, dribbling treacle about how great Scooby-Search, Cat-wrangler, or whatever BS moniker they use are. Isn't that suspicious to you? I understand why complaints show up here, because innocent people feel bad, ripped off, and betrayed! And they are motivated to compare notes with others. But why would all these people,  going about their daily business, suddenly jump up and say, "Hey! I wonder if there's such a thing as a consumer complaint website where I can spend time finding that website and entering positive statements and insulting people who say they got scammed"?  Really? Hey, asbreath: try not using the same scripted defenses you all keep repeating wherever your sleazy operation gets slammed by the remorseful victims! Shame on you! Oh yes, and please stop calling honest pet lovers "mean....haters...heartless...etc..." YOU'VE GOT A LOT IF NERVE YOU B*****DS!

You work for them. You cutthroat thrives KNOW that people hate you, so you troll complaint sites, looking for negative comments - then you clutter up the comment forum with your feces, hoping people will think the amount of happy stories outweigh the angry ones...and the truly heartbroken ones. You are not a "service", not a "company", you aren't an "amber alert." What you ARE: A ring of jackals willing to toy with people's emotions and drain their income. If there were really a Satan, you'd be his minions with your robocalls blasting like sulfurous farts straight out of Hell!
