"" The only way to get the real number that is calling you is to contact your phone company and request that a ?Call Trap? ""

WRONG

Answer the call , pretend to be interested in the product they are pitching then say " well before we close this deal out id like to see a website about your product just to make sure it is legit "" they then give you the product website which has their contact info ( and proper phone number ) then you know who to sue.

FTC complaints are worthless as is AG complaints , however it only takes 20 mins to file a small claims case against these scum if you know the exact law violations they are commiting , and surefire methods to better insure you win when you take them to court , though often you win a settlement before it ever even gets to court.

It is very easy and fast to discover everything about who the telescum is who called (calls) you ! It is retarded easy to sue telescum by the way , Ive made a little over 28k this year suing telescum and each action ( suit ) I bring costs me about $20.00 tops and I am often able to sue for up to 5k in small claims court or as high as 15k in state court ( or more but rarely ) You just have to know the tips , tricks , hints and learn from someone who sues telescum as a hobby and a passion.... one phone call after the 1st opp's call from telescum can net you a fast 5k. "" 2.    The company doing the calling is not Healthcare Service.  It is a marketing company that Family Care at familycarecard.com has paid.  Even though Family Care / Healthcare Services is the company that paid for the marketing to you, they are taking no responsibility for the marketing tactics of the company they are using.  Highly unethical again if you ask me. "'

UM.... they ARE legally responsible for the actions of the telescum they hire

Read:

The 2003 Federal Telemarketing Regulation (US) has responded to this issue by holding the client business primarily liable for the actions of the telemarketers they hire -- the Feds' way of saying, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em."

The FTC and FCC (US) in their promulgation of the 2003 Federal Telemarketing Regulation took the telescum industry's "suggestion" and made the business who engaged the telemarketing operation directly responsible for the telemarketing operation. Apparently the FTC determined that telescum can't be presumed responsible, and so they made the business ultimately responsible for the contractors who do their bidding!

So as a result, it may not matter if the telescum hide behind their client. The client gets to pay the penalty anyway.

TRUST ME I sue telescum for fun and profit all the time !! I used to look at these scumbags as a major annoyence now I look at each call that comes to me as a $500.00 to $5000.00 bill I can collect on.

It is so easy to discover exactly who is behind these clowns and it takes a whopping 5 mins to do so , 1st off when they call be nice and chat seem interested and then 3 mins into the call ask to see a website about the product then you win as you then have the company's identity and contact information.

"hello this is daniel parker calling from the national health care association give me a call back at 1(877) 827-7861 we're currently reaching out to help those that are uninsured ..."  Got the same voicemail message a few days ago.  I ended up calling the number back and spoke with a man named Frank...(I wonder now if it was Frank Rizzo..LOL!)

Anyway, he went on and on about how my entire family and I could save approximately $10,000 per year with their plan.  But, I had to sign up by the end of the week to get the special that they were running; $99 per month, etc.

I ended up Google-ing the phone # and luckily found this website! THANK YOU!!!!

So here it is:
1.    The number you see on caller ID calling you is just a generic number that is no longer in service.  This apparently is not illegal, but highly unethical if you ask me.  The only way to get the real number that is calling you is to contact your phone company and request that a ?Call Trap? be placed on the line to find true origin.  At this time, I?m trying to get this done without a police case number, but am unsure if I will be able to.
3.    There have been at least two messages out there.  I have on record a Sam Parker and another calling himself Robin, but you can clearly tell this is the same person.  The call back number has also changed from (877)827-7861 to (877)284-5072.  This informaiton will be placed on the 800notes.com for both numbers above.  I'm sure there are more.
4.    Calls are routed to a call center in California.  Apparently all numbers that are to be removed from the calling list are to be mailed to the corporate office at the end of the evening so they can be removed.  I?m going on my 4th week working on this and can assure you that they are NOT being mailed and numbers are not being removed.  Defiantly know this as I?m still receiving calls after requesting removal four weeks ago.
5.    At this time the Indiana Attorney General?s Office is requesting anyone receiving these calls to fill out the on-line complaint form found here: http://www.in.gov/attorneygeneral/consumer/telephone/file_complaint.html
6.    If you are not in Indiana, I strongly suggest you contact your own state AG for further assistance.

Got the same call this afternoon to a cell phone that is for emergency use only. I called back and asked how he got this number--only one other person is supposed to know what it is. He hung up on me. I called back and said, we seem to have been cut off...told him to remove me from their call list, and he said that he would. I'm doubtful, but it was worth a try.

Msg left this AM on my voice mail from 866-423-9941 (probably pre-recorded, but done so well it sounded live) - identical content to msg quoted earlier by "Bryce - 1 Jun 2009", but to summarize:

Samuel Parker from National Health Care Association re health insurance for me and my family at "about $3.00/day" - told me I'm pre-qualified and they "just need a few details" and if I qualify can get coverage for $99.00/month - left different callback number (877-827-7861) than call was placed from (866-423-9941) [see earlier post by "Bryce - 1 Jun 2009" for exact wording]

I've taken no action on it other than to attempt to research on-line and report it here.  A Google search for "National Health Care Association" yielded several sites with complaints about companies with that name and a BBB rating of "F" (similar to one cited above in TX) for an Albany, NY company, A V A Marketing (aka National Health Care Association), but with different phone numbers.

8664239941 showed up on my cell phone; called on land line and got the disconnect message. Called the number "Sam" left (877-827-7861) and got through to someone who I told to take me off their list as I'm on the NDC registry and he hung up on me.

So. Even though everybody's reporting it, I suppose we have to suffer through scores of these calls like we did with the "Your car warranty is about to expire!" scam until they get shut down, too.

Government Action(s)
The following excerpts of information were obtained from a Temporary Restraining Order and Complaint issued by the Attorney General of North Carolina against National Healthcare Association.

This Order prohibits the [company], National Healthcare Association, from engaging in telephone solicitations and certain other sales and financial transactions with North Carolina residents until such time as its marketing practices comply with the Nor Carolina Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act and the Discount Buying Club Act and its telephone solicitations further comply with the Telephonic Sellers Registration and bonding Act and the Telephone Solicitations Act of 2003.

The Order alleges that [the company] and its agents are engaging in deceptive and misleading sales practices in North Carolina and have failed to register as telephonic sellers with the Secretary of State prior to placing telephone solicitation calls to North Carolina residents.

On September 22, 2005 it was ordered that the defendant, together with its employees, officers, agents, representatives, successors and assigns, and any other party acting in concert with defendant having knowledge hereof, in conjunction with any product, service or program that is offered or presented to consumers via telephone solicitations, be and hereby are temporarily restrained and prohibited from soliciting or doing business with any person or persons residing in North Carolina, including persons whose telephone area codes are 252, 336, 704, 828, 919, 910 or 980, or whose US Postal Service zip codes begin with the numbers "2-7" or 2-8," and from endorsing, cashing, depositing, assigning , negotiating or otherwise requesting or processing for payment any monies, negotiable instruments, bank account debit authorizations or credit card charge information received from any North Carolina resident in response to solicitations that occurred prior to September 22, 2005.

The complaint contains the following factual allegations:

Since at least May 12, 2005, [the company] attempted to market a "plan" to North Carolina consumers whereby those consumers supposedly would receive substantial discounts on all doctor's visits, dentist's visits and prescription drugs, and even more substantial discounts on hospital stays.

The [company] marketed its "plan" by "cold calling" North Carolina consumers using a computer that automatically dials the consumers' telephone numbers and plays a recorded sales pitch when the consumers' or their answering machines take the calls.

A live operator does not ask the North Carolina recipients of [the company's] calls for permission to play the recorded sales pitch.

The recorded sales pitch does not allow North Carolina recipients of [the company's] calls to request not to be called again.

The [company] did not register itself with the North Carolina Secretary of State as a telephonic seller prior to placing its telephone solicitation calls to the telephone numbers of North Carolina consumers.

The complaint also alleges that the [company's] sale representatives tell consumers they can receive insurance-like benefits at a lower cost. Despite the distinction, the language used by the [company's] telemarketers implies a traditional health insurance policy, with words such as "out of pocket," "co-payment," and full "coverage."

The Complaint also alleges the telemarketers represent the following:

-Consumers who sign up for [the] program will be entitled to unlimited doctor's visits at 60% off, with no waiting period;
-Consumers who sign up for [the] program will be entitled to a 60% discount on their prescription drugs;
-Consumers who enroll in [the] program will receive an 80% discount on all hospital stays;
-The day following the call will be the last day to enroll in the program and obtain the aforementioned discounts;
-Consumers who enrolled can cancel for any reason within 30 days and receive their money back;
-Consumers can visit any doctor they desire.

On October 3, 2005, a Preliminary Injunction against National Healthcare Association was reached.

Just got a call on my phone at work (direct number), sent it to voicemail. Left a full and detailed message offering me some sort of health insurance. (I'm already fully insured, by the company you just called me at) Also gave a different call-back number. Below is my transcription of the message:

Hello this is Samuel Parker calling from the National Healthcare Association. Uh, give me a call back a 1-877-827-7861. We're currently reaching out to help those that are uninsured, and I wanted to let you know that you have been, uh, pre-qualified for a national healthcare program that only costs you and your family about $3/day. We just need to get some basic information from you. If you qualify, you and your family are going to receive medical benefits for approximately $99/mo, which includes you and your entire family. Uh, give me a call back, my name's Sam Parker, and I'm at 1-877-827-7861. That's toll-free. I look forward to hearing from you.

He called me from a different number 18006924482, and stated to call the above number in return 18778277861.  The number he called happens to be our magicjack number which we have only given to a few people; but seems like they have access to any number they want.  I always file a regular complaint with the ftc website, I do not use their do not call website for my complaints; too restrictive.  I also give my info so I get an email verification of the complaint which I then keep in a folder marked "FTC".  Then I add the numbers to my growing list of numbers that are unrecognized - and keep it up to date. Periodically I check back to these sites as I have still got some unknown numbers on that list that someone may have updated here or other sites like these...  Great site, very beneficial...

Just got the same phone call with the same spiel. I wondered, how they got my cell number - I did not submit any requests of health insurance thru them (neither online nor over the phone or mail). I called back and asked them that - they tried to avoid the question, and offered to remove my number from the calling list. I insisted on their source of telephone numbers' information. They hung up on me.
I called again 877-827-7861 and spoke with another rep - asked him to tranfer me to the superviser. Chris (superviser) picked up the phone - I mentioned the purpose of my inquiry. He also started shirking around and offered the removal of the number from the list. I firmly asked again - he started yelling at me that he did not know the source!!! What a f****d up business, guys!!!
I told him to shut up, and to expect to tell this info to the FBI. He hung-up... I already called the local office of the Commissioner of Insurance (filed complaint), and spoke with the FBI about it. These scam idiots will get their a***s pinched pretty soon.
I suggest you, guys, do the same, and the sooner - the better!

The "Do Not Call" list does not help businesses.  Even on the Attorney General?s site it says that you could be targeted even if you are on these ?Do Not Call? lists.  The only sure bet is to go to your state?s Attorney General and request a complaint form.  Sadly the complaint MUST be in writing.  That is why it is so difficult for the government to help stop this madness.  People don't want to fill out the form.

Update: We have been called 19 times so far today and the night is still young.  I've recorded every call with the time and date stamp thanks to our phone system.  Sure hope the AG office is quick about turning letters around.  I have even more information to add to what I've already uncovered.  BTW...Family Care is taking "No Responsibility" for these calls.  It is SO SAD that they don't even care that they are running an unethical and unlawful ad campaign.

At this point I almost don?t care if they call anymore.  The papers for the Attorney General have been filed with a two page letter of how everything went down and log of the at least 57 calls we received from this company.  It is out of my hands now.

I had to change our phone system a little so our customers may be feeling some pain, but I hope they understand.  I did it for the sanity of our employees that I think were about to snap?lol?  The last call we received yesterday was at 8:10pm.  Most of the calls have started at 11:30am EDT so it is almost time.

No Joke!!!  I was about to post this and now the caller ID is showing ?Caller ID Unavailable?  Within 15 minutes I?ve received four calls, and the caller ID is back to 800-692-4482.  rotfl...  I can't wait to hear back from the AG!  These guys are done...
