The caller left the 877 number with a 2 digit extension (26). Said name was Pat Loftus and he was looking for Dewey and Ilene.  Their answering machine picked up when I called back. I was supposed to enter the 5 digit extension or just hold on. Phone rang on for 2 minutes or so.  I called back and entered the 2 digit extension (broke the rules).  Ryan answered immediately. Pat was gone and Ryan was planning on leaving soon.  I told him they had a wrong number - he immediately said he'd remove it. I am SO HAPPY I was able to resolve this issue so quickly!!!

I have gotten repeated calls on my cell phone from Green Tree.  The voice message they leave tells me to call 8778356465.  I have never had any outstanding bills.  I have a credit rating of over 800.  They need to stop bothering me.

Suspected debt collector. Receiving many calls each day with disconnect when machine picks up. Sometimes a message is left on machine asking for Martin Espinoza to return call. Have been receiving similar calls for this person for more than 1 1/2 yrs. Each time I happen to pick up or reach a person on returning a call, I advise that I have had my # for 30+ years, have no clue who Martin Espinoza is and ask that my number be removed from their system. They promise to remove it, but the calls continue. Today's call: I returned call, got answer machine that would not record my message. They promised to remove my # from their system 5-7 days ago, but, as usual, the promise means nothing.

I've been working with Green Tree.  Everytime I talk to them they go through the whole "attempt to collect a debt" spiel.  They are blood suckers and will take every dime they can get from you.  However, when I started working with the guy we went through numbers he had for me and he had my number, an old number and a number for a neighbor of my parents.  He said he didn't know where they got the numbers (probably sincere) and that he'd take the number off (prob not so sincere).

They are an agressive collection company with few ethics. They have been closely associated with Bank Of America for years collecting all BAC past due accounts including home mortgages. File a BBB complaint!

They call every day, most times they do leave a message.  If they leave a message , they do not identify themselves, it just says call this number in a rude tone.

They call everyday sometimes 2x a day! They don't ask for anyone specific or say why they're calling. Just a recorded message to "Please call GreenTree...1-877-835-6465" SO ANNOYING! How do I put an end to these harassing calls?!?!

I keep receiving calls from 480-383-2290, three times I've answered and told the person on the other end that I am not John Harrington/Harrison(?), and never have been, that I've had my number for about 8 yrs, they have the wrong number! I finally called them back at 877-835-6465 today and told them again, they said they would take me off the list, we'll see? If anyone knows John, please tell him to call them and pay his bill please!

Got a call from them at 8:30pm.  They did not identify the person they were calling or what this was about.  Called them back, and got a message that "this mailbox is full, please call back".

This is illegal in so many ways it's not funny.

Check with the statue of limitation for your state, if it past that limit then they have no claim. If they keep harassing you over it, you can sue them.

I have been getting calls from them and it is Green Tree. They are trying to collect on a debt thats 7 years old. I have not heard from this company in years and they just now started calling again. I think they are just cleaning out there old files and are trying to get what ever they. Everyone check your laws where you live because most places your debts they can not collect on after a certain amount of years have past. I am not saying to just ignore your bills lol. But my husband is a disabled veteran and I am out of work and can not pay a 7 yr old debt that I know they already got reimbursement on.

Good ol Green Tree Mortgage company. They are ruthless in their pursuit of a dollar. Had to do a short sale which was nice on my part bc they got some money out of the deal as opposed to a foreclosure and still calls every day. I even told one of the collectors named Alberta (a real bi***) that I had just had twins and all of my cost doubled etc so she cuts me off and says" well you should of thought about that before you had twins"......I said yeah idiot like I planned for twins and then the gloves came off.
Nasty people and a nasty company and the worst part was my mortgage was transferred to them a few months before I had to start my short sale. Lucky me.

Thy calling nonstop. What thy looking for? This disturb to me.

We just got the same thing. They left a name for my wife and a number. ILLEGAL!!! By law they have to state that they are collecting a debt.

I have no idea who it is but when it just has a caller ID of "Toll Free Number" I do not answer it. If they can not list their name then to me that is either a telemarketer or some one trying to trick you into answering their call out of curiosity. Maybe they will learn to be honest and show their name in the caller ID. (I doubt they have that intelligence tho.)

Who is GreenTree and why do they keep calling me?

I get calls from these people every week.

They call me every evening... to my work place number. I get the their voice message every morning...
The same annoying message appears... “We have been trying to reach you with some important information. Please call us back.”
I have no clue who they are. I don’t call these kinds of services or whatever.

They call six days a week (M-Sa) and leave a voicemail stating they have important information for me. They provide a number to call, but do not identify themselves. Harassment.

Am now on a whopping "47" times since Aug 10, 2009 or 29 times since robocall law went into effect on Sept 1st.They do NOT stop. I am absolutely certain they are calling an incorrect party. Refuse to call back as I really do not know where call is coming from or will go to. 3 complaints have been filed to date.
Am curious how long they intend keep it up. That "important info they have for me" must be pretty important to chance a fine of $16,000.00 a shot for 29 times since Sept 1st.!!!!

Update: Nov. 12, 2009 -I finally gave in and called this number. It "IS" Greentree. After them calling me 68 times since Aug 10, 09, 50 times since the new law went into effect at $1600.00 a pop. I hope that the government, who needs the money so bad, goes after these jerks. They started calling me on two different numbers; 1-877-835-6465 and 1-800 643-0202. They have nothing to do with me. Maybe, but I doubt it, the calls will stop harrassing me. 2 FTC complaints, 2 Do Not Call National Registry, 1 State Attorney General. Government NOT doing their job!

Im just 13 and i have no idea why Greentree is calling me. i dont even know how these copanies work! Anyway i answered one time and there was a real person i told them to stop and they didnt. then after months a finally god to talk to a real person (its usually a machine) and i threatend to call the police. Then they stopped!

They call me EVERY evening and have done so for about 3 months straight now.  I actually spoke to a "live" person once and asked him to take me off their calling list.  He said "We do not have a calling list" and I told him that was a bunch of bull and that I wanted to speak to his superviso, that for all I knew it was a huge scam.  He went on to say "Shame on you for being such a rude person and that I would get much further in life if I were kinder"  Are you kidding me????  Apparantley, Green Tree is a free life coaching service-haha!!  I laughed my head off at this one and "politely" hung up on him during his rambling!  They continue to call me EVERY evening-arghhhh!!!!

This number calls at the same time every day, at least once per day, sometimes twice...when you answer, it's always in the middle of a recorded message, which makes no sense.
