Received voicemail from Tom at the Nielson Co. asking me to call back at 877-838-2674 x54.  This is the third call I've received from him.

Received a call identifying them as from Crain's. Would like a call back to extension 438

They called and left a message on my answering machine.  They were soliciting for a free subscription to Modern Plastics.  Done this before and you need to go thru a 10 minute survey that they tell you will take only a few minutes.

"Mike" from Modern Plastics Worldwide called for my boss (also the company owner). I told him he needed to leave a message, and tried to get me to "update information" for them. My suspicions were aroused, and I said that my boss was the only person who really could do that, and again asked to take a message. He said he'd just call back.

Call from Tom Harper for me - asked me to call him back at 877-838-2674 ext 436.  Said he was from Crains.  I'm assuming it's due to my Automotive News subscription having expired.  I think I remember getting a call from him about a year ago when my subscription expired too.

Received message today from Tom Harper of Larmar Freedman with this phone number and ext LV98 to call back at my earliest convenience.  After reading these posts, I will not be calling back.  I am also on the Do Not Call List.

Received a message from Tom Harper, Nations Restaurant News, 877-838-2674 x98, from 9-4 EST.  Do not know who this is...

We have received numerous calls from this number 877-838-2674 x86 recently. The man claimed his name was "John" and that he was from Brandweek. He wanted us to renew our subscription. He said he could take our credit card information or he could fax an invoice. We said fax an invoice, and we never received anything. This is obviously a scam as we receive paper invoices in the mail from Brandweek.

This is a subscription renewal company for business magazines, etc.  If you have subscribed to one in the past, this group will contact you on the magazines behalf.

I got a message from Colby at extension 86.

It's an auto renewal company representing various magazines. My company subscribes to BrandWeek and they wanted to offer us a renewal special. Not a scam, just annoying sales tactics..

I got a call from Tom from Nielson Company from this number.  He said to call at my earliest convenience at ext 52.  I almost called back b/c I thought he was associated with the Nielson Soundscan Company (but obviously he's not).  I'm really glad that this message board came up!  The internet is a great resource to find scammers!

got a message from a blair calling from crane company, same number, extension 52, they had my full name.  came up on caller id as '204' which i thought was strange as hell.  glad to have found this message board, now i know not to call back.

Got a call from 877 838 2674 from a "judy" (04-04-08)
claimed to be from a Nielson Co. she knew my  first name
I won't be calling back - seems like a phishing scam.

Ok, Tom from the Reed Company called again, 877-838-2674m, ext 671.  This was in reference to a Gifts and Decorative Accessories subscription renewal....so this is a publishing company OR this is a telemarketer that is calling on their behalf.....at least this time he told me why he was calling....

A man by the name of Ryan said to call back at my convenience regarding what ? I have no idea. The caller ID came up 206? His extension 99.

got a call from Chris Hamilton this number ext 1000  said it was Air Cargo World.  I am a teacher, not a business!!!!  My number is unlisted and on the do not call list. Googled Air Cargo World--it is a magazine

I saw the strange "201" on caller ID, so didn't pick up (my cell)- "Judy" from Crain Company left a voicemail to phone back beween 9-6 EST, no reason why.  Her extension is 13438.

Yet once again, first in Feb, now March, it is from Tom at The Reed Company, x 671.  Just says to call him back.  I do not call anyback unless you tell me WHY you are calling.

I received a call this afternoon from Blair at The Nielsen Company 877-838-2674 x99.  Said that they are available from 8:00 AM thru 5:00 PM Eastern Time.  I tried to call the number back (even though it was after 5:00 PM ET) and the phone rings about six to seven times and then disconnects.  I am also on the Do Not Call List.  How is this company getting through?

Guy named Tom left a message on my cell today. He left a message and said, call at my earliest convenience, at 1877-838-2674 x53 The Neilson Company.  He said my full name, so that threw me off.  I too am glad I googled this to know not to call him back!  Also strange, was the number on my caller id showed 202.  This is the first time I've ever received a call like this.

Someone named Tom Penwall (sp?), stating he was from Penwall industries, called my job and asked for me to call him back at x452. Not knowing about this I called the main # back and it just rang and rang. Glad I found this site.

I also received a call by someone from a Handley Co. and left this number as a call back number. When i called the 877 number the operator told me it was a switch board that handles 20 -30 companies and I needed to give her an extention number. So I made up and it was a publication company. I called a few mins later and made up another extention and again ia publication company. 442 is for a Pool Company Magazine and 441 is for construction company mag and so on.

I got a message left from "Ellen" at this number and extension 98. I couldn't understand the name of the company she said she was from, something like Lamar Freedman Agency.

I received a call from "Iris" of the Neilsen Company who asked I call back at this number, ext 53. I called the number and it hung up on me. It seems the more I report these to the FCC, the more I get.
