This party is calling my daughter and representing they are calling about my Ent credit Union account.
This is harassment of a relative.  The number is not the credit union.

US Bank Credit Card, Collections.  Only reason I know that is because I finally demanded they tell them who I was as they are asking for someone who is not at my number.

I just rec'd the same call while at work. The person, named Sanford at x1560119 asked to have me call him back right away as it was urgent. Before June 6th. They said they were from Elan Card Services. I've never, ever had a card with these people!?!

When I called back, first they hung up on me. Second time I called, silence. Third time I called, I got a call and she asked for the last 4 digits of my social security #, and my home address. I asked "who is this?" and she wouldn't tell me, and asked for this information. After going back and forth for a few minutes and my refusing to give this info out - she "transferred" me. And, I sat for 5 mins with someone on the other line, just breathing. I said "hello??" and nothing. So I hung up. Weird!

Has this happened to anyone else??

well, If you know 100% you owe money to US Bank, don;t be too suprised to be getting these call. But I agree they are violating the laws right and left. calling me on Sunday morning at 5:50am!!!!....Good thing I keep my phone off during the morning, otherwise I would have be pretty ANGRY. and if its not enough that they call so early, they call non-stop!

According to the voicemail I received, the party from this number is calling from Elan Financial which is a credit card servicer. Either this is a third party retained by Elan Financial or is perhaps their collections division?

Received same card in mail. It was signed along with an extension number.

in some states if they violates laws too much u can get out of the debt completly..check the laws in ur state

Got a card with my maiden name on it asking for me to contact them and that they had not been able to reach me. But it only has a name of person whose trying to get a hold of me.  No company name or any address of any sort.

The caller repeatedly called my place of work, where I am not supposed to take personal calls.  I was not in so she started calling my supervisor to look for me.  My supervisor was not happy!  When asked about the matter of the call, she outright lied saying that I had left her a message and she was returning my call.  My supervisor knew something was fishy in that she gave him an 800 number.

This company calling me from 877-838-4346 has been erroniously given my phone number. I have told them repeatedly but will not stop calling my number. How can I get them to stop? I understand the number is from US Bank or one of their collectors. Someone has given them a wrong name and my phone number

what happens if they send you a letter and ask me to call them? There is no returning address or anything.

Yep it sure is US Bank or at least one of their debt collection agencies that they use. Go to http://myacu.org/ and report their actions, record everything that they do or say to you. Even with a power of attorney sent by someone working on your behalf they seem to ignore that and still harass you . I just don't answer those calls.

I know exactly what they do, and just the other day they called about 8 times. They think that they are above the law, and apparently do not understand the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act which states that they cannot call before a certain time in the morning and at night, also to mention the amount of times that they are allowed to call. Whoever trained these collectors at US Bank certainly have managers or instructors who cannot train their collectors in the LEGAL procedure of making collection calls or telemarketing to customers. Since they violated a Federal Law, I reported their information to the Federal Trade Commission and the Federal COmmunications Commission. I think that this is going to spark some flames for the people responsible for collectors violating these laws set forth from Washington D.C. were legislators are serious about the laws they create.
