I got a call from this number today - the man said his name was Dwayne and that he was calling from Comcast - he asked for another person - so obviously a wrong number.

I just went through four months of crappy HD service leaving most of my HD channels unwatchable.  Multiple calls to resolve and an ineffectual service call at my home left me still suffering with the problem. I had to threaten throwing it out to an operator to get a new box sent which did correct the problem.  Oh yeah, they charged me for shipment to replace their defective box and now are double billing me for the cable box.  Now, they have the nerve to call me on my cell at work.  Comcast is the worst provider of service I have ever experienced in my life.

The laws have passed ! It's a Federal Law now that every Apts has to let you install what ever you if it's Dish,Direct Tv or cable and even install a Digital Antenna ! If they say no you can take them to Federal Court . In our Apts in Texas they install anything . Because they know it's a Federal Law ! Consumers has a right to stall anything in there Apts. And have the right to install a Wireless Security System !

I live in Ontario, Canada. I got a call from this number on my cell phone today and simply rejected it but I was curious to see who it might be. If it is being used by Comcast, I don't believe they even operate in Canada so not sure why they get to see my number. I will contact my provider (Bell) to see if I can block it.

You could fret, freak out, and let your paranoia get the better of you. OR you could, ya know, ignore the call and then check your voicemail if they leave one. If they dont then it obviously wasn't important.

There are not boogie-men around every corner trying to get your precious information.

This is a general Comcast number.  They may be calling for any number of reasons.  They called me from this number today to confirm a service appointment I'd set up yesterday.

I got a recording saying they were calling regarding my monthly payment and that i needed to call back or come in... Uh No. I'm well aware that I am always a week behind, but it's always paid. WOW never bothered me like these people do.

I do not have comcast and never will.  Why do "they" keep calling my cell phone and never speak nor leave a message? ????

I do not have Comcast.  We have only 4 bills each month and we are current on all of them.  Don't know why we got a call - and it must not have been important because no message was left.

Pst.... I don't now nor have I ever had Comcast nor do I live in an area that is serviced by Comcast.  Another carrier has a no compete contract.  Just BS telemarketers/scammers.

I get these calls even though I have a payment arrangement in place. They obviously do not note the account and still find it necessary to call and harass people. They did leave a message

It is Comcast, but make sure they are calling about your account. I got a new phone number a few months ago, and it turns out they were calling about another customer who used to have the phone number. My bill was fully paid up, but the other clown owed them a bunch of money. I explained it was only to be associated with my account (they asked for verification info), and that's that. I'm not a big Comcast fan, but let's not freak out when it isn't due.

seriously - come on guys stop being so skeptical - if you look on your comast bill is clearly states this number in the top left hand corner ~ I just wish they would of left a message stating who and what they wanted :-/

It's a scam. they tried and tried to get my credit card info over the phone.....not happening

This is NOT Comcast! It is a Scam to try and get your credit card or bank info over the the phone!!! I have been with comcast for 12 years and they have NEVER called me for payment, even when I was late. Hang up and report them!

Looked up the number on iPad as call was coming in. After reading responses, I didn't answer. They left a message for a job opportunity In customer service.

No worries. It is Comcast, but don't just assume that they're hounding you about a past due bill. My bill is about a couple of weeks past due and they didn't even mention it. They were simply letting me know that the maintenance work that they've been doing to correct the issues we've been having, has been completed and asking if our service is satisfactory again. I just looked at our new bill and we have a substantial credit for the days our service was in and out. I'm constantly hearing bad things about how poor the service is with Comcast, but I have to say that we have never had anything but courteous, timely service from them.

WHO is calling me on my cell phone from this #? This is a BUSINESS phone!

What a bunch of Combcast Scumbags...I paid them and they said I won't have any service for 24 hours. That's OK, I just signed up with ATT Uverse who will be out in a couple of days to start my DSL and my Cable TV service. And the post dated check I wrote Comcast to get my account turned back on???? HAAAAA HAAA I am going to STOP PAYMENT ON THE CHECK. THEY WILL NOT GET ANOTHER GD DIME FROM ME....And have the kind of phone, that I can turn off the ring sound for a certain phone number. I will never hear from them again. They make billions and could not wait a couple of days till I got paid. People are hurting, they are out of work...and these jerks could not wait a couple of more days? I'm done with them.

Oh yeah...before I forget. Get a Google Voice phone number by signing up for free for a Google Email acct.. Give ALL of the people you have an account with the Google Voice phone number, so that when something like this happens...you don't have to hear from them again. All you have is a little email saying they called. Big Fing Deal...

I'm receiving calls from this number... strange thing is... I don't even have comcast!!!!  I live in an area which is serviced by another cable provider and comcast isn't it.  They keep calling me to tell me that my appt. has been confirmed and will be between such and such hours.  

Truly annoying... as if that's not bad enough I'm getting other calls for someone else I don't even know and the collection agency is looking for them and uses "000-00-0000" as their contact number so there's no way of knowing what their actual number is!!!!

I pay a hefty cell bill each month to maintain five separate lines and I would think that there's something that can be done to block or stop such harassment that is totally unrelated and unwarranted in my case.

I have been getting the exact same calls! They claim I owe a couple hundred dollars. I haven't had comcast in more than five years. I called the number and they said the only way to stop it is to go to a comcast office and deal with it there. Yeah, sure, like I am going to spend my time going to them to correct their screw up. Asshats.

I Love Comcast, the way they call my phone every month, maybe Comcast can come over and walk my Dog while they are waisting their time...   sSWEET...

877-842-6622 is a number belonging to Comcast, and they have been calling me for two weeks straight because I dumped them for Wowway.  I sent the equipment back UPS and have a receipt.  I'm just waiting for my final bill from them.  I have always been current.

So far I am very pleased with the Wowway Service, and my bill is $35 cheaper a month, plus I get a DVR and a digital box, which is an upgrade from the comcast service I was paying more for.

This number calls and when we answer they hang up!  Sick and tired of it
