I just received a call tonight. The caller ID read 253-333-7373. I didn't pick up, but here is what the voicemail said...

"Hi, this message is for the [my last name] family. I'm calling regarding the gifts I have on hold for you. You entered a drawing of ours recently and I drew your name to receive some really great gifts, so congratulations. You may contact me toll free at 1-877-846-2050 ext. 505. I have left previous messages. This will be my last and final call."

For one thing, I have NEVER received any previous messages from her whatsoever! The lady sounded ederly and also had some slurred speech. She even almost sounded in pain at one point.  I have never entered any drawings within the last three years at least. Also I am single and live alone and always have, so I'm not sure why she is calling the [my last name] family. Also the call was made to my cell phone number, which I only give out to close friends and family. I don't think I will be returning the call. It smells like a scam to me.

Returned call from DCM to claim prize. Person who answered the phone asked me to identify myself, which I did. She then asked me for information on my marital status and family members living at home. When I declined to give this information she stated she needed to know so she could select the prize I was to receive. I again declined to give additional personel information, and it was at this point she hung up on me. Now I'm left wondering who the lucky duck is that will be getting my prize.

Have received 2 voice mail calls this week from Barbara with DCM (1-877-846-2050 x89) telling me I won gifts from a contest I "may have entered at a mall, grocery store, or somewhere".  I haven't entered anything in a long time, so she must have the wrong number.  The fact that she was vague in her message reeked of a scam.  Although I have no intention of calling to try to collect my "gifts", I am concerned for anyone that falls for these type of scams, especially these days.

The caller stated she was from DCM, that I had entered a drawing somewhere (I NEVER DO THAT)and I had won a prize.  She gave me a different number to call 1-877-846-2050 ext 256 to claim my prize and told me to "hurry" because they only hold it for a limited time. I specifically asked her if they were going to try and sell me time-share by having me go to a presentation and her response was to laugh, say "no" and claim her company just liked to give away free gifts. Needless to say, I will not be calling. . .

I got a call last night saying I had gifts on hold.  I was told if I went to a timeshare deal that they would give me round trip airfare and hotel for just sitting through the talk.  I'm going in tonight with my wife to see if it is for real and if I get my gift.  Can't hurt for just listening, right?

I got the call and called back because I too thought it was a scam.  I actually went and picked up my gifts.  They called me a year later and I just went in again and got a Las Vegas hotel and airfare package.  It is a timeshare promotion but I didn't buy anything either time and still got my gift.

This is a transcript of Voice Message left at 6:26PM last night, from a very cheery young lady. My comments are in brackets [ ]. "Hi, my name is Kimberly and I'm calling with ACM [could be DCM]. I'm calling in regards to an entry form that [my first and last name] filled out, maybe at a grocery store, restaurant, mall, or fair. We drawed [yes, "drawed"] your name to receive great gifts, congratulations. You can contact us right away at 1-877-846-2050 with extension 103 between the hours of 2PM and 9PM [didn't mention time zone]. Remember your gifts are on hold for just a limited time only and its best to call as soon as possible. Congratulations again, and enjoy those gifts"

They left a VM saying I won a prize from an entry that I submitted at a grocery store, shopping mall, fair, etc. I don't enter drawings. Has to be a scam. Found another site that has more info from people who've received these calls: http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-877-846-2050

I received a call that was intended for my husband but they spoke with me saying he had entered a contest somewhere and was selected. He was to call 877-846-2050 ex, 716 (code for who gets credit, I think). I called and learned he had a choice of 1. trip to Las Vegas with air and hotel 2. Vancouver BC dinner for 2 or 3. an MP4 player. I said he would have to get back to them. I sure he won't.

I had the same experience, Marsha from DCM called from 253 # and left message stating I should call 877-846-2040 Ext. 257 from 2-9pm Mon-thur to claim my prize.  I had been contacted by a male a few weeks ago, same speil and told him I wasn't interested.  Marsha had said in this last message it would be the last message. I will not investigate, it sounds like a timeshare or similar type thing & I don't like being pressured.
If the calls continue, I will report as harassment to Verizon.

Got the same here.  Probably was put on some mailing list and whoever called said that I won a prize from filling out a form at a shopping center & etc.  Last time I entered anything was back in July at a County Fair. So who knows what this is about.  I checked online for that phone number and it doesn't exist.  Could be a scam.

Got the call from Marsha at DCM that I had won a gift from an entry at a shop, business, sporting event or store and to call 1-877-846-2050 ext 257 to receive said gift that was on hold for a limited time only.

Think I will pass since the last time I entered to win anything was at a sportsman show 2-3 years ago.

they called and left me messages and i called back...i'm supposed to go to bellvue to their office and go to and hour and a half meeting on time shares, i've been guarenteed it's no preasure and no need to actually purchase anything. the woman i spoke to guarenteed me i would walk out with prize in hand...either 3days and 2 nights in vegas...airfair included or vancoover for 3 days with 50 bucks to spend, and she promised a $25.00 gas card ready to use immediately...so i figure what do i have to lose? potentially 25 bucks i did'nt have to begin with and an hour and a half of my time...right? i'll update after i go see what it's all about.

I also received a call from a lady who said she was from DCM. Told me to call back at 1-877-846-2050 extension 257. She said I won something from a contest or a drawing from a mall, grocery store or something. I do fill out things for contests but very rarely. It was called from a 253-333-9165 number. I've actually received some increasing number of unknown phone calls around this time also.

I missed a call and since i have no service out at my house I just checked my voice mail and CeCe called me and left a message sounding a little upbeat and said I can call back at this number 1877-whatever the rest is and gave me extension 51 and so i called and i got the choice of 50 dollars and a trip to Oregon for four days and three nights or a round trip to Vegas for three days and two nights with a hotel.  All i had to do is get a tour of a golf course and I receive my price.  SO i may go to see what it is all about.  but my boyfriend is weary and i just want to know if i actually won something, my friend won a trip and money and it was legit so why not go?

Sounds like a scam...my dh would NEVER fill out an entry form for anything unless it was a boat/truck/4wheeler and we know the names of those businesses and its NOT DCM!!!

Elderly lady called and left a message to say they drew our name in a contest we had entered and had some lively gifts for us.  I was supposed to call back on the following number: 877-846-2050, ext. 505.  I called back and no one was there to answer calls until after 2:30pm.  I heard talking in the background that this company responds to drawings from companies all over the Northwest.  Someone named Athena called back and left a message and said her company name was DCM.  Once I had the company name and phone number, I entered it into Google and ended up here.
