I just had another call from this number, I don't ever pick up for that number but yes, they are still harrassing people and looks like they have been doing it for years. I have no debt outstanding btw, and I am betting most who get these calls don't, it is a major scam to scare people into sending them money.

I guess because when people read the 5 pages of comments,  it says all that there is to say about these people and anything else added is just repeating..

They (NCO) called me for a bogus debt to DirecTV. When I canceled my service long after the commitment period ended, they tried to assess a charge for their equipment. When I offered to ship it back if they'd send the R/A and labels, they refused.

NCO couldn't reach touch me if they were standing right next to me. These guys hire people straight from streets. No education, knowledge, experience, class etc..... Auto dialers are a thing of the past. Actually, attempting to reach people on the phone is a thing of the past. You guys on here complaining need to catch up with the times and a get a smart phone, caller id blocking software and take your lives back. NCO employees are former crackheads and drug dealers.

Just got a call from this number, picked up the phone and was complete silence when i said hello. Im tired of these damn collection agencies calling my number all the time for some women I dont know. I get calls from other agencies asking for a paula or stella or other female names but usually the first two. Once i tell them they have the wrong number they stop calling, but a few weeks later a new agency calls, so the cycle starts again for me.

File for harassment.

Jack, attorneys will take these cases on contingency.  when they win the suit for you, the debt collector pays their fee.

I guess I misunderstood and it is probably NCO.

The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act requires that you stop phoning me at home and at work once I request that you do so.  I intend to send you a certified letter tomorrow putting my no contact request in writing.  If you continue to phone me, then I will file a complaint with the FTC and the attorney general."

Forgot to add that if this the NCO financial group again, I am up to 12 different numbers now blocked on my phone.

Got a call from 1-877-847-0092 with a start message of "if you would like to stop these messages" at which point I hung up and immediately blocked the number.  Invest in a panasonic phone you can block numbers right in the handset and not pay a phone company to do it.

Here it is 2011 and the same calls as noted below.  I use Call Block and Do-Not-Call but nothing seems to stop these people.

Today, Saturday, they called at 8:43 am.

Voice message stated: "This is a message from NCO Financial Systems Inc. Law requires that we notify that this is a debt collection agency and any information obtained will be used for that purpose- call Ms Faith at 18778470092 again please call Ms Faith at 18778470092  Thank you"

Called back and was asked told Ms Faith is busy(Luckily the wait was only for one minute). Asked for the Phone number which was included in the dispute. I asked what dispute? I was asked if I needed a Spanish Translator. I was asked if I knew someone (I cannot remember the name). I said I did not. The lady said thank you and was about to hang up on me. I asked why did you leave a message for me and was told it is a mistake and that my number will be removed.

I got a call at work, and I work at the bank. all it said was to "please call this number back, 1-877-847-0092 again please call this number back, 1-877-847-0092, thank you." And that was it, nothing more said.

I`m not calling back, they didn`t give no contact person and didn`t use my name.

Called back and only have to give them my phone number.  They name they read back to me was incorrect.  Hopefully this is the end of it.

I work for a collection agency, a legit one.  Never give any information to people who call from that number.  When a collection agency calls you regarding a legitimate issue they will give you are reference number on your answering machine.  If there is no reference number, there is no case against you.  This reference number has all the pertinent information that they need, and they will be able to tell you what company they are collecting for, how much your debt is, how long it is in arrears and a contact number for the company who sent your debt to collections.  They should begin a conversation with you, if you call them back, asking you for all your information.  Good luck.

I do not owe anyone any past due bills!!

I just receive a message from 1-877-847-6674. She left me a message saying my name is Ms. Gilgrest from blah blah blah(was talking to fast) legal department. Give me a call back at 1-877-847-6674 ext 105 regarding case number blah blah blah.

I get anonymous calls from 877-847-0092 weekly on my cell phone.  No number shows up.  Just a recorded voice says "Please return this call to 1-877-847-0092".  That's all.  No mention of who, what, where, when, why this call is constantly harassing me on my cell phone.  I have no debt issues.  I want this to stop and my cell is on the do not call list but that's not doing any good.  Is there a way to get the FCC to make these people stop this type of harassing phone calls?

I owe these morons and others money I assure you they will never see.  I am in the process of completing medical school and have tried for years now to try to work something out with numerous lenders, student loan lenders, mind you, and third party yutzs such as NCO to allow me to pay a portion of the debt or defer the debt while in school with limited success.  Since I have no assets I absolutely love to field these calls now.  For a while, years, they made my life and the lives of my family miserable with nonstop harrassment.  I have since taken the approach of come and get me and told my family to do the same- these debt collectors are totally impotent!  So now it is fun to see an unkown number come up.  The moral of the story is- they cannot do a thing to you as per their threats.  When I graduate I fully intend to afford legal representation to clear whatever bad debt is on my record and make certain that these people who tried so hard to make us so miserable do not see a penny- even if it costs me the same money in legal fees.  Yes I'd sooner give money to a lawyer than these awful people.

After 2 years of calls and mailings I finally answered and talked to someone.
Was told about a $1600 debt from a CC.  I knew about this debt and this is one of many.
They told me that I can settle it down to 975.  I offered 325 a week for 3 weeks to be automatically taken outof my bank acct.
The 2nd of the 3 will be taken out in a couple days.
Should I be worried about any of this?  Was I too trustworthy?
They send me a letter before each transaction as well.
Response to my email would be greatly appreciated, but I will check back here as well.

Beaware  they is also another company NCL Finc. Assistance 1-800-735-6588...they leave no msgs and call back name is Brenda Roberts...chekc these out...there is no person  of such name.

Is there a way of stopping these calls?

They have harrassed me at work several times. They are located in India.
