I got the same thing yesterday. Reported @ ic3.com
bmw 2009-08-17 16:19:27 Unknown
I also got this message on Sunday the 17th. The part that immediately tipped me off is that I do belong to Sooper CU and my cell is not associated with those accounts at all. I will be calling Sooper CU and letting them know this phishing is going around.

An sms from 3659.
sms@tmomail.net / VISA "Pending Authorization Notification". For more information please call 1-877-847-4003. Thank you Sooper C.U. /
I actually purchased a car in October of 2008 and this is one of the credit unions that I got a decline letter from ..
Because these messages are coming from sms@tmomail.net they are more that likely sending them to your phone number at tmomail.net. You can log into tmobile.com and select manage my email and it'll have a section where you can edit your tmomail.net address .. If you change it to something other than your mobile number it'll stop these messages.

Got the same text from 3691
missy_ski 2009-08-17 00:52:13 Unknown
Wow, did we all receive this scam text at once? I can't believe there are some who would actually call a phone number from a text message and GIVE their credit card number, pin, exp date.
scambusterlady 2009-08-17 00:39:11 Unknown
Great advice, I will add this scam alert to my website.
another victim 2009-08-17 00:33:33 Unknown
This is why we need capital punishment. Kill these motherf$%#ers, otherwise they'll just set up a new number and spam another million more people at our expense. I just can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to fall for this s#!t.
annoyed 2009-08-17 00:12:10 Unknown
I have received the same message, around once a week, for the last month. I also wonder how they are still able to do this after the FBI was supposed to take care of it? WOW is right.
Banker 2009-08-17 00:02:07 Unknown
I work for a bank and I recv-d the same text msg. This is a scam your bank/credit card company would never have you enter in your full card number exp. date and pin number. Just report the number. We get calls from clients about this and who have entered in the card info and later find the card is now being used for fraud. Protect your self and notify your bank as to help others.

Yes, but I am still wondering how come they could reinstate this to-be-shut-off number from the FBI? Is there not a sorting system that should prevent the same company with the same phone number with the same criminal intent? If this is how the FBI works and shutting down phone number...wow. How many are there still out there? I just have to voice my opinion here.
Red Beard 2009-08-16 22:44:50 Unknown
mine was the same as everybody else its up to at least 2-3 like this a week make it f*&^n stop
TMO employee 2009-08-16 22:43:31 Unknown
Yes this is a scam. I have reported to T-Mobile but unfortunately there is no way to stop these messages without turning off your service, the same way there is no way to prevent wrong number calls. Do not respond or call, just delete the message. :(
Gerard 2009-08-16 22:34:12 Unknown
the article was posted in march 2009 and we still were able to receive these msg.?
Most likely they are trying again to scam us. I tried the number but it is not in service.
Becca 2009-08-16 22:19:10 Unknown
I just received this txt msg on my cell. I also fallowed the link to the Denver Channel 7 new site and read the article. I still wonder how come the FBI shut the number down in an hour when the article was posted in march 2009 and we still were able to receive these msg.?

Got the same text as many others:
VISA "Pending authorization notification". For more information please call 877-847-4003. Thank you, Sooper C. U.
It's not associated with a King Soopers card I can assure you - I no longer live in Colorado and have not shopped at a K.S. in over two years; I just happen to still have a Colorado number on my cell.
Kristina 2009-08-16 22:05:20 Unknown
I know this is a scam, but what concerns me is that the messages seem to coincide with my shopping trips to King Soopers, are the scammers somehow able to know whenever i use my Sooper card?!
chaz 2009-08-16 21:36:14 Unknown
Got the same message from 3696. Agreed, probably a scam.
