Received a call from this number today. Don't recognize it and didn't answer. Please stop calling me.

I got a call from these jerks. Since their ID came up unavailable i did not answer. I never answer any number that coes up unavailable.

This person called asking  about where i  lied &  if  this  was my  home  phone#????

Never give donations to a stranger who calls you. Might be a scammer. Might be a legit independent fund raiser who keeps 90% for themselves and sends 10% to the charity. Best to find what charity they are collecting for, research the charity to make sure it's legit, get charity contact info from an independent source, then donate *directly* to the charity so they will get 100% of your donation.

Some guy from "Statewide Appeal".  Honestly, I have no idea what he said after that.  I put it on speaker phone and had my German Shepherds bark into the phone until I got bored.

Have to admit, I enjoy this stuff.

Please take me off your scam list. We know you are a scam and will report this if you don't stop calling.

Reported this number to the FTC, https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx, as I do with all such callers. Copy and paste the web address wherever you think it would be helpful. Wrote in the comments box: My number is on the Do Not Call registry yet I receive calls similar to this every day! The DNC list has become meaningless to the taxpayers who pay for it and the FTC should find a way to fix the problem.

I got a call this evening from supposedly the state police and I told the gentlemen that I didn't think he was suppose to call for solicitations.  He said that they couldn't afford to do a mailing to everyone.  I told him I wasn't interested and he wasn't too happy.  When we lived in Va we had calls like this and I fell for it!!

I got this call asking for a donation to my local state police. I need this to stop. What can I do to have that taken care of.

I am on the DO NOT CALL LISTS and continue to get calls similar to a call today 6/13/11.  It was a call for the PA Troopers.  He said they were 3rd party callers for the Trooper organization asking for donations.  I told him I was not interested  in giving a donation.  I tell them that every year and they still call us sometimes twice a year.

calls almost everyday. if I don't answer, no message. If I answer, nobody is there.  ???

Jack*** called and no one replied after I said hello, then they hung up....  I don't understand why I get these calls even after subscribing to the "Do not call" lists.    They suck.......

I got a call from this number just now. They call nearly everyday and I don't usually answer, but I answered without looking tonight. They asked for my husband, when I asked who it was that was calling he launched into his spiel. I interrupted him because we were putting our sons to bed and asked him to please remove our number from their calling list. He hung up on me. This needs to stop.

I get a call from this number at least once a day...am not answering and they hang up when the answering machine  kicks in.
How do I stop them?

Just got a call from this number for my parents.  The guy wouldn't leave a message but I persisted.  He claimed to be with the "State Trooper Asc." which in my case, would mean PA.  He was just downright RUDE when I asked if the call was in regards to donations.  Then he hung up on me.

Well, I looked up and called the actual PA State Troopers Assoc. (http://www.psta.org/fundraisers.php (800)541-9934).  The woman I spoke to said they do not do any phone solicitation. From the website it appears that other than corporate sponsors of the Troopers Helping Troopers, they host fundraisers to raise money.

when i answered the phone there were two male voices arguing..

"you suck"
"I suck?  F-you, at least i aint fat"
"F-you man"

i said hello 3 times.. after the third they apparently noticed i was on the line and hung up..

I received a call around 3:00 PM on 2/24/11. When I answered the phone the caller sounded like they cleared their throat then just hung up. I checked the caller ID and found this number. I tried check the number by using a reverse look up but I was not able to find any information. I then called the number and received a message that was from Statewide Appeal and if I received a call it was not urgent. This disturbs me when someone is so rude as to call and not even speak when you take the time to answer.

again and again and again............they do not give up.  they call every day at different times and always says unavailable.

called today (2/14/11) and asked for my husband "or uh... Mrs. xyz" (i.e., me).  when i asked who they were trying to reach, they just hung up without saying anything. very strange.

called and asked for my husband.  when i said he wasn't home they just hung up.

I decided to donate to Police Association one time about 5 years ago.  These jerks keep calling and calling, I don't know what to do to stop them.  I told them I don't have a job and please take me off their list, but they still keep calling.  When they ask for me by name I tell them he doesn't live here.  I've said it about 10 times now and they keep calling.  I will take the above suggestion and contact the PA State Attorney's office.

Someone this number called asking for my fiancée, When I ask who was calling they just hanged up. I called back and it said thanks for calling Statewide Appeal. I find this to be unacceptable and unprofessional way of doing business.

877-854-3650 calls at least once a day. This one was 06/08/10 @5:10pm.
Caller ID states 'unavailable'.  # listed is 877-854-3650  I do not answer calls that are "Unavailable"
Never leaves a message....nor does anyone speak if I answer. (Although I do not say anything)
I called the number 877+854+-3650 and It was for a company called "Statewide Appeal."  The message stated that their call was "not urgent," and that they would try to call back later. They asked me to leave my number(like they don't already have it!)
Google search revealed the same information as above they are a paid fundraiser...it seems with contracts with various state police agencies...including the Pennsylvania State Police.
Contact the PA Sate Attorney website and fill out the complaint form that is listed there.
This is how we can stop them

They call constantly and hang up on answering machine.  If they say they are fundraiser for State cops, i wouldn't believe them.

Do not take calls from this number.

I've read about groups like that.  The call a small local police department and talk an uninformed clerk into letting them use "Police" in their solicition in exchange for a small donation to that police department.  

One small local police department gets $100,  They then collect several thousand dollars, which they keep.

Update: I just did a Google search of "Statewide Appeal."  They are a paid fundraiser...it seems with contracts with various state police agencies...including the Pennsylvania State Police.
