So glad u pay your bills but I also pay my bills and have a good credit score and have never had a issue until this place calls me and tells me I have a fraudulent check I dont think so theses people on here most likley at one time r another had a payday loan dosent matter if u paid it r not these loan sharks will say they r coming to arrest u and take your property they cannot do this it so not right they scam people even tho they paid the loan off my daughter had had it happen to her had her scared to death she luckly called the sheriff and they told her its a scam scare tatic so for you to post and brag about yourself it could happen to you also these people need stop

If she refused to supply you with written verification of the debt (not E-mail) it is probably invalid. If you owe no money do not be intimidated. Record all further calls if you are in a "One-Party" state ( Google it ) and demand their valid address and working 'phone number. If they refuse to give you their information you can rest assured that they are trying to scam you.
Learn your rights. They are available here and at the FTC website. Threats with a Summons are a big red flag. Summons are served by licensed Process Servers or Sheriffs deputies. You can call your local Clerk of Court and inquire as to if a Summons has been issued and you can call your local P.D. or Sheriffs dept. and ask if there has been an Arrest Warrant issued. Don't be afraid. Your local authorities are there to help you and you will more than likely be told that they've heard this sort of crap a hundred times before. It is almost certainly a fraud attempt.

Don't pay them. They aren't coming to your job.  They want to scare you into paying.  Make sure they follow the law, sue them and make them pay if they don't. (If you can find them.)

Funny, I got an email from you stating that I owe yet I have never taken out a loan nor went to a check advance agency.  You are a scam and a joke.   Oh by the way, my father works for the FBI, you will be investigated so have fun with that "Linda" !!

Please be aware these people have stepped up their tactics.  They start with the process servers and eventually move to Mr. Matt Williams sending you an email from ACS Legal Group.  He bills himself as a manager.  He states that if yu do not pay in 2 days your will be placed in small claims court and then have to pay along with the debt owed the legal fees and other fees associated with this account.  Although I have no knowledge of the court system, I do understand that this is an illegal manner in which to collect a debt.  Laws were established to prevent just this type of torture and abuyse of authority.  I, too, have received this email.  I filed a claim with IC3, my state attorney, the FBI and the police department.  If the debt is legitimate, I do not have a problem with making arrangements to pay the debt.  However, I will NOT be coerced into giving away my hard earned money by fraudsters.

You might be right in some cases, however, there are so many bottom feeders out there who prey on the naive people who don't realize they need to check everyone out before they blindly pay these people.  All I had done was apply for a credit card and that company sold my info to who knows how man others, who in turn started calling saying I owed an old debt which I did NOT. I gott a call about a month and half ago saying that they are court servers and that if I didn't pay on some b***s*** check that the weree going to take me to court and that I was being served. Can you explain what a skip trace is?  They got numbers from my relatives that weren't at the addresses and did not have the phone numbers at the time of the so called loan was taken out.  This worries me on what all information they have that I do not know about.  Thank you for your time.

I called many lawyers from Illinois to California...this is all FRAUDULANT....they bought your info from a Cash Advance company. Sates Atoorneys in Ca and IL are working onthis but they are unable to locate the people. DO NOT SEND ANY MONEY

ACS group, Im trying to figure it out as well

Just received a recorded voice message from a lady by the name of Kala Crenshaw stating that she was from the office of ACS Group.

She stated that this would be her final call due to she have made numerous attempts to contact me and  I couldn't be reach.

She also said that she will be force to send someone out to my job and my home. She left a case number which is 431611 and the call back number is 1-866-380-8655.

Please if anyone has any information for Texas on how to maybe put a stop to this mess let me know so that I can take actions against this fraudulent company..........

They are a scan bill collector, not fallowing the law at all.

If Charles and Linda had a sick child and no way to get medicine and no way to feed their kids and then a debt collector broke the law in calling and lying to them, they would change their tune, I think Linda and Charles work for a payday loan company or collection agent like ACS.

A debt collector has no right to break the law, some of these so called pay day loan places have very very very high interest rates and lay on people who have sick children and need the money for medicine and then when a person tries and can not repay they get tortured and bullied and that is AGAINST THE LAW. they likely did a skip trace and looked up your neighbors or they used your loan application and are calling your refs. If any one is in Chicago area, try a law firm called Edelman Combs and Latturner on these frauds.

They are they real frauds and in violation of fair debt collections practices BIG TIME. They called a friend of mine and my inlaws and, with some phony case number , saying it was about  a court case but I called and reported them to the FBI, I then called the tollfree number this woman left for me -her alleged name is Christy Leeks, she will leak in her panties when I get thru. I got Anthony Cartel to answer at their number and he admitted they were a collection agency as I was hanging up on him, class action suit time. We need to all file FTC complaints. Blessings

I call similar to yours but my pay day loan was discharged over three years ago. They have been calling my family and employment. I think at this point I am going to just tell them to try and take me to court. I have my back up papers. These people are scum bags. I left a really nasty message last Friday. I ripped them a new one yesterday. The "process server" called me and threatened me, from an anonymous number no less, saying I was in trouble for intent to defraud. Last week when I called this alleged "company" they could not provide me with a contract showing my name or any proof I owe them anything, just a letter with NO emil or physical address claiming I owed the debt.

I tore Mr. So-called Server to shreds, I told him until I see a contract with my name on it showing I owe this supposed debt, I owe them nothing. I told them I wanted to see it in writing, and no BS. I told him too that the way they are handling this alleged situation is not the way an above-board company does business.

This is a violation of the FDCPA, and I have already reported them to my state AGO.

I had a Katrina McVivan call me from ACS group threatening me with a civil action.  She left me a message stating that a process server was going to come to my house or place of business in order to serve me with a summons.  She also called a family member who I have not seen in years and told her that I had committed a felony.  The phone number is 866-675-4055.   They have been harrassing me for two days now and I have reported them to the FBI, FTC, BBB.   Also when I called them back, a Daniel Layel wanted to negotiate a payment plan so that I can pay them by 5:00pm today.  He gave me his phone number which is 888-209-8712 ext: 358.   I believe that this is a scam and I will not pay them anything.  I want to be the one now to press charges against these people.  Any advise on this matter?

Your statement is a joke.  I was contacted by this company.  I am not the person they were looking for.  They left a very detailed message about the person.  Seems like they should know who they are calling.  Besides who would call them back and meet with them to receive a summons.  As a retired court employee I can tell you that is not how the court works.  No one cares about your great credit, or your family.  Stop preaching.  You probably work for this SCAM company.

There is no attorney named Scott Sandler registered with the Arizona Bar Association.  Fraud.

They also called my house for my husband today and left a v/m stating that he would serve my husband papers at our home or place of employment for some fraud charge thats pending against him. The same number they left you on your v/m was the same they left us on our v/m. Someone needs to do something about this company. Im not even sure how they got our home number because our phone service is in my name and not my husbands. Hopefully they will do something to this company for making false statements on everyones v/m.

I recd a v/m on my home phone today from "Attorney Mary Carter" claiming to be formerly notifiying me that she will be serving me at my home or place of business and that if I wanted to talk to the plantiff's attorney, I needed to contact them at 1-866-615-8363...good luck with your case.  I called this number and of course its ACS Group. I left them a voicemail stating that they had violated FDCPA by leaving so much personal information on a v/m without first making sure that I was the individual that they were seeking and that if I receive another phone call like this from them, I would be reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission. These people are ridiculous. People would be more eager to contact them if they did not lie and scheme.
