Hello, you need to go to your bank and have those debits stopped.  Then you need to open up a new account and stop using the other account.  Then you need to contact the FTC and your attorney generals office.

I had my husband (who is an attorney)do research on Brown Meyers & Associates/ Law Office of Ryan L Copeland due to the multiple phone calls they were making to get a hold of my son about a payday loan. Come to find out this company employs convicted felons, and the director Mr. Jay Rodriguez is listed as a sexual harasser along with a Darren Gonzalez! This was all the information needed to understand that this company is absolutely unstable! Clearly they have no regards of who they employ and further more what idiot hires without background checks? These are unorganized debt collectors with a bad reputation and it makes no sense to pay when they will probably be shut down due to the illegal ways they try handling people!

If these people have harassed you illegally call this number and report them 716-876-5303 it is their local sheriff's office and they have been in contact with them today.  So call now and let the cops know whats really going on.

This is the same company that calls under "Weinberg Grace" and many other aliases. Have been receiving calls from a Brown Meyers and Associates almost daily saying I owe on a returned bad check and to call immediately or have my counsel call them. A woman's voice then comes on but I can not understand the garbled message.  I have not responded to it as it is not true and can not understand part of it. Also, after reading some of the comments I will not respond to them. Why should I send them a letter or anything?  I am going to report them to the BBB, the polilce (harassment), let the bank know this is happening, and to the Attorney General in my state.

They told me that I owe them 300.00 and threaten to take me to court and they took one amount out of my account now they are taking a different amount out of my account and they said they are through pay day loan company never heard of that company and search them over the internet and they said my name is not in their system and the cope and and told them that they was lying and it was a scam then I got call call from them and they said do not call this screaming and belittle my employees

these guys are scammers big time!  I have no unpaid debt...I haven`t borrowed $ in 25 years! my credit bureau is PERFECT. we even have life lock.
their # was on TV in Phoenix as a SCAM.
but they keep calling...i even have NO CALL and reported them to that...they just change phone #s!

Just received a call from David Swartz with Copeland Law Firm (716-803-8819) telling me I had a bad check.  I asked with who and he said "Regions Bank"  I said "no, who is the check to"  He said some payday loan company I've never heard of.  "how much is the check?"  He refused to answer, just started with "I see where this is going..."  I said that he needed to send me information in writing so that I may verify the debt since I have been the victim of identity theft by my ex husband.  He said "oh really?  How sad.  So how much are you willing to pay to resolve this"  Again I asked how much the "debt" was.  He went in circles again.  I said "where does your law firm practice"  No answer.  I said "you are nothing more then a collection agency" to which he yelled at me "I have the upper hand Miss and you can expect to be served in 2 days"  I said "on what debt?"  He said "you will see" and hung up.  Oh whatever.  I googled the phone number and a website came up advertising it under jobs with collection agencies.  Interesting.  I have tried to call back but only get some looped recording saying "this is L Ryan Copeland Law Firm, this conversation is being recorded"  

Report them to the FTC for deceptive business practices.

this company is a joke ask for proof have them send you a letter i am currently working with a woman that was scammed by them as well just hired a lawyer and recorded several conversations with then unfortunatly she gave them money already and they refuse to send them a letter ask them to send a letter if you get one you got them by the balls but odds are they wont

I received  calls from this no. A message was finally left  for someone I never heard of. I returned the call and they refused to tell what kind of business they were in. I related that I  have detailed records of all their calls--if they are legit. they would identify their business. Beware of this scammer!

It's illegal to tell anyone about other peoples debt YOU A**HOLE  for someone who supposedly "works" in a "LAW OFFICE" wouldn't you know that!!!  Today they answered the phone when I returned their call  "LAW OFFICE HOW CAN I HELP YOU"  I work for an actual LAW OFFICE and we would never answer the phone in that manner or say the things they have said to me.  We don't threaten and always send written verification of a debt within 5 days of first contact!!  We also have different payment plans and all include receiving money via money order if a bank account is not available or if the consumer does not feel comfortable paying that way.  We must always be respectful of the persons rights as stated in the Fair Debt Collection Act.  THIS PLACE IS A SCAM DO NOT PAY THEM, REPORT THEM TO THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION AND YOUR STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL!!!

If this is a law firm or a collection agency, why dont they contact the person they are trying to reach via search engines, internet searches, facebook, social networks or a detective agency.  It is a waste of time calling and leaving messages?  We have been receiving calls for someone with a similar name whom we do not know where they are?  Do not call list registry doesnt  work.   I dont know about harassment since they may or may not be a debt collector for someone (not us).    Computer calls are not like you can talk to someone either to clear this up.  When you answer the phone it is a computer message or a computer message goes on your voice mail.   What can you do to stop these calls?  What has been effective to stop these calls?  If this company needs to get in contact with the person they are trying to find, a phone call isnt the way to do this.   Most individuals today use cell phones and these numbers are not published.   This is not an effective way to find anyone.

I've gotten a few calls from them and another 'firm' looking for my mom. The number was a blocked one but I was supposed to call back to an L. Ryan Copeland Law Firm number (877) 277-7911 ext. 104 to reach a Tyrone Jones... Or somethin like that. I called back and asked what they wanted but they couldn't tell me ANY information just that my mom needed to call them because of an 'Urgent file'. I didn't tell him anything except that I would relay the information to my mom.

I have been receiving calls from 1-877-856-6928 lately and recently returned the call - the receptionist told me that they were calling someone by another name - and my number was given to them!  When I asked how they got my number she asked me why I was being rude.  I continued to ask why they kept calling this private number and I told them I would file a complaint, but I doubt if she heard a word I said since she raised her voice and kept talking over me!
And apparently someone named Charles is handing out this number because it isn't the first time I've received called for this guy!!!!

This place is not fraud. they actually took me to court in my county =[ i ended up paying 12,658.91 in court fees, and now my wages are garnished. so i advise everyone to listen and cooperate!

WHY is this phone number/company calling about debt of similar name (not ours) and a recorded message at that?   HOW DO I GET THESE CALLS TO STOP IMMEDIATELY.  Have made complaint but tired of the calls weekly.

they call me on my job and said that i owe this place i asked them to send me a letter or bill  what i owe  them they said after i made all the payments and that will only except credit or debit cards for payment they toll d me $50 a month but then i found out that they was trying to take the $50 ont of my next check too i told them tat i get paid every 2 weeks and can only afford to do $50 amonth from 1 paycheck that is what the agreement was not once a month not every time i get paid but that is what they are trying to do  that company is the law firm l ryan copelannd

They have been calling and leaving a message for someone else, I even recieved a text message that said "PLEASE CALL" - hard to tell if its legit, but the number they call me from is 716 -213 -6300.

They are a bill collector.  They called me for a payday loan balance which I owed.  
Very nice and worked with my budget. Very pleasant bill collector to deal with.  

They have a law firm unit part of their office, so the representative you deal with on
the phone is not an attorney but if you don't pay the bill their office will eventually
take you to small claims court to collect.

You have got to be kidding me....if you consider the way these %#$(*s act nice there's a problem big time.  I'm sure "mt" is one of their so called pleasant bill collectors....and yet another threat of taking you to small claims court on the WhoCallsMe board!
