Its Saturday and there business hours are through the wk ,so have to wait till Monday to call and see what the billing is for . My mother is 92 the bill is posted for 5/15/2014 , $29.99 . .she says she never ordered anything ,and I believe her . I have to watch her bank account for these things . . It seems to happen very often . . .I just talked to my mother again and she also has another withraw from acc.for the same date but for the 4th month .I'm having her check her bank statements for earlier dates . So what is the charges for ?

Complain to the company at the 877 856 7738 number and demand all your money back.  Then, also demand that they put your dad's phone number on the do not offer list and they will not try to get him to buy anything anymore (we hope!).

If they do not, then file fraud with the bank/CC holder and also with the FTC & CFB..

Update April 3, 2014.  I just got off the phone with Dr Leonard 800-455-1918 and they refunded 15 months @ $29.99 per month (all of the fees for all the months).  According to the rep, my Mom had accepted a program that would help cover some medical expense.  The Rep also changed her status so in the future, if my Mother calls in for another order, the rep will not offer her any deal or programs. Since she was not using the program and was not aware of the program they refunded the charges.  I will check her credit card in a few days so make sure they do what they promised.

My mother did not understand the charges of $29.99.  So far I have fount this charge on the last 12 months statements,  I am going to follow MJG advise.

Call the credit card company NOW  & file a fraud report.  Challenge those charges.

My father has been charged for three months in a row two $29.99 charges on his credit card from DRL*PTH DR LEONARDS877-856-7738NJ and the other one DRL*EASY LIVING CWG866-241-2496NJ.  He has no idea what the charges are for and has never receive anything from any of this two companies.

Yes, the online predatory business practices preying on the elderly, vulnerable, and uninformed.Yes, people need to understand and assist their elderly family members. Yes, they provide a service but it appears they apply recurring charges without delivery of products. I was going over my bank statement on line today and found a charge for 29.99$. I had not placed an order from Dr. Leoards this month. I will be  asking for a refund and will not hesitate to file formal complaint with BBB if they do not refund my money.

I also take care of my mother's afairs and I was going over her bank acct and noticed 29.99 on her acct.  I have no idea how they even got her credit card number.  However I know she has ordered things from Carol Wright in the past, which I have advised her not too, and she still does.  She will not be ordering anything from any book again.  I advise anyone that is helping there parents to make sure you keep a close watch on their account as there are spams out there trying to take your parents hard earn money.

I have a charge on my credit card for $29.99 DRL*PTH Dr LEONARDS - which I did not order. I have not received anything as of this date Aug. 12. This was put on my credit card dated July 18,2012,I did not order anything..

I just was going over my mothers credit card bill.  I also found the same chage although mine says "carol wright" NJ.  I have recently started helping her with her bills and when I looked back through previous statements, this dates back over a year!! She has no idea what she could have ordered from them!!

I have recently starting taking care of my 84 yr old mom and 85 yr old dad's bills.  I noticed a recurring charge on their visa with the description DLH PTH DR LEONARDS 877-856-7738 NJ.  I  knew my father ordered pills for his leg cramps from Dr. Leonard's so I asked if he ordered them once a month.  When he said no, I decided to call this Phone number and ask what the charge was for.  The woman I talked to, Michelle, told me it was for a membership to Passport to Health and asked if I had received a welcome package.  I said I hadn't and wanted to cancel this.  After reading about this scam, I intend to call back and request that they refund my parent's money and if they refuse I am going to tell that I am going to contact their bank and contest these charges.   It is sad when companies think it is alright to use whatever kind of fraudulent methods they are using to make these charges to charge cards.
