If this is a text message scam, which it is, these fools are calling my landline!  A while back, they were sending texts to my cell phone and all the other phones on my account.  Very annoying!  Then I called Verizon and there hasn't been another scam text since.

same message as others have reported. Did not visit any such website and don't like getting texts that I have to pay for!  How do these freaks get my number?  I don't give it to anyone but family!

Just wanted to state that I got a text from the number 408-717-3042, asking me to call 877-861-8581

I got a better idea.  877 is toll free.  I beleive you can call free from a payphone and they pay for the calls.  Everybody get on a pay phone and tie up their lines.  Make sure you sound like a drunk who's interested in their product who's looking for his credit cards, but can't find them.  Then finally found it and start "reading" off random numbers.  After you read too many, they'll stop you in confusion.  Then you say "Oh wait..that was my lottery ticket...Man I ain't got no credit card.  Can I give you my bank number?"  Then give them an 800 phone# of a bank.  When they say that's not an account #, tell them you don't know your account#, that they gotta call the bank and ask.  Tell them you name is (make something up- ie: Sir Leroy Jackson III) When they ask for your address, tell them you're between addresses...you're uuh...staying with a friend.  Then give the address of a homeless shelter.  When they want to hang up on you, say "wa-wa-wait...I uhh...Wanted to aks yous some questions about your product"...The rest is up to you.  Everybody!!! If you have a moment, use this lovely template point these spammers in the direction of <b>GET A JOB!!!!!</b>.

Received a text message regarding claiming a Walmart Gift Card

I received a text from this number saying I won a $100.00 gift voucher from Walmart for visting their site. What site? The call came from another number. Whatever.

I have Verizon also, I'm on the do not call list, and I never visited this site!! The number that sent this was 510-666-7071

II sent a reply text to never text me again, I was reporting to the FCC...hopefully they will remove my number.  Between the phone company charging for data not requested and scams, I am fed up.

I also got a text, but it was from 925-219-7218 telling me to call 877-861-8581 for the Walmart gift card voucher.

I had the exact same thing happen to me this morning.  I almost thought it was real for a second since I just made a purchase on Wal-Mart.com, but this obviously is too good to be true and therefore is a scam...
