so after some digging, tracing, and pinging... i've got some bad news.
the email address "682.cu@tmomail.net" was traced back to the IP address 66.94.25.228 which is at TMobile USA just outside of Wichita, KS!
which means either someone has hacked into and is using the TMobile computers OR it's very likely a disgruntled employee trying to make some money on the way out or on the side.

It sounds like a scam I read about. Its a recording when you call it asking you to re-activate your card. its asks for the 16 digit number, acct number and social number. Don't do it. :)
| jwren 2009-09-10 16:58:42 Unknown |
I got a text from the same thing but the number it told me to call was 877-265-6268. Does anyone know what this is or what its coming to our phone for?
| Spike 2009-09-10 16:51:55 Unknown |
This is a scam
It asks you to give your credit card number, and it will use the math to figure out if you entered a valid number. Then it will ask you for your expiration date and finally your PIN number. then it will tell you the card has been activated.
You can use this fake card number if you want to just mess with them:
5490 1234 5678 9128
give any expiration and any PIN
