We didn't receive a phone call but a mailing for 2 Free Roundtrip airfare to anywhere in the US plus a $300 Walmart gift certificate if we called a 1-866 number within 72 hours.  First we wanted to check it out online but this is the only site I could find that mentioned Time to Go Travel in SC.  Thankfully one of you who who was called mentioned that you were to go to "951 Market St.,Suit 104 Ft Mill, SC 29708 NAME OF BUSINESS = TIME TO GO TRAVEL", the exact address on our mailing!! Including Suite 104!! In the Civic Center--I guess.
It was a different phone number -- but sorry the mailing got shredded before I decided to add my infomation to this site.  Oh yes, this was our "Final Notice" but I guess all the other notices got lost in the mail!!  Wonder if Time to Go Travel in MN is legit and if they know Tony is using the name.

Got this phone call also but I asked lots of questions because I figured this was a scam. Gave me the name of Alexander Goatwright at ext 1009 said he was from Time to go Travel and my husband and I would need to come to this place and bring 2 forms of identitiy and blah blah blah. Not only did he have my number but my email also. How does this happen? I would love to know.

If you do a reverse phone look-up there are two places that show as having that number. Both in Illinois. Both outside of Chicago.

It is exactly as stated by a majority of the people who have written comments in this blog.  I called and politely asked how they obtained my home phone number (because I never give that out - I purposely use my cellphone in the event that I will be called back - because my home phone is private and tied to my address).  After asking, I was promptly and very rudely told to hang up and never call this number again (by a very rude woman "Gloria" who also recorded the outgoing recording where she states that the call will be recorded for quality 'insurance' rather than quality assurance - very unprofessional).  Personally, I don't care what the definition of "scam" is to different bloggers - this call interrupted my evening, pissed me off and merely added to my disdain for all cold calling.  In effect, this is a scam because the calls do no one any good because nothing is being sold, nothing is being gained, and time is wasted. Unfortunately, the only people reading this blog have either already been troubled by this b.s. or are just looking for another blog to voice their opinions.  In fact, I would bet that anyone who defends this madness is probably the people who are trying to "scam" over the phone to begin with.

I got the same call too from Tony. He left a voicemail saying it was his final attempt to reach me. When I called back, I was told that Tony was fired and Melvin is taking his place at ext.1030. Told me I won a 2010 Ford Explorer or $27,000. Second Prize was Airline Tickets to a destination of choice, and third prize was a 27 inch TV. Melvin said he would email me a confirmation never received it. He also gave me a prize number and told me the presentation would be at the Prize Fulfillment Center which is a 90 min. seminar. He said to bring my ID and a credit card tonight, Nov. 23rd at 6:00 p.m. The address is 951 Market St. Fort Mill SC 29708. How crazy.

I just joined the cause SAY NO TO FACEBOOK BECOMING A PAYSITE.

Withing a day I got this call from 773-639-2762 "John" x1028, saying i have won a car or one of 3 major prizes. Be careful of what boards you sign-up on face book. There are a bunch of scams out there. Prize Fulfillment Center. I believe these people are getting personal information from Facebook.

Ditto all above.  Caller id 773-353-1944 Annie Dolan 3660 n lake shore dr. Chicago.  I also signed up for facebook, but I don't see a connection.  Sounds like a time share scam to me.  They usually offer the lowest value prise after making a high pressure pitch. I don't think I've won anything.  Have not registered for anything.   DON'T CALL!

It's one of those deals where they make you go to an "Award Ceremony" which is another word for “High Pressure Sales Pitch.”  They get you into a room and pressure you to buy into a time share.  If you do decide that you are impervious to these sorts of things, and go to the "Ceremony" then they string you along in an endless series of steps to claim your prize.  Of course it won't be the Ford, it will be the least expensive item.  And it will be the cheapest version of that item.

Probably be easier, and take less time to get a part time job until you've earned enough money for the television.

They get the names from some sort of list that a person (inadvertently) signed up for.  It could have been as simple as a request for a coupon, or even access to an otherwise legitimate web site.

The problem is not the caller; rather it's the people that fall for them.  There are just enough suckers to keep these people (term used loosely) in business.  It's like getting mad at the raccoons for eating the dog food you leave out on the back porch rather than picking it up.

I just got the same "Tony" call. I am also on the "Do Not Call" list for all the good it seems to do. Sounds like Tony is several different persons all using the same name. This guy did not have a southern accent. I can't think of anything I signed up for other than the HGTV thing which several people seem to have done also.

Got same message from Tony. Was please to hear (as the rest of you) that I'm a winner too! Aw, shucks! ;-)

Was suspicious because of the "numerous attempts" to contact me (which I obviously missed)!

Callback: 877-866-4202 ext. 1001

Am on Do Not Call. Also entered on HGTV -- and NOTHING else this year! Not on Facebook, but am on LinkedIn.

Based on blog posts, could probably buy the TV cheaper than the gas/meals/hotels used for driving to SC to claim my prize! LOL!

WHY would I call them back to give them my email address to be further spammed -- when they ALREADY have my contact phone?

I listened to the message left on my machine.  Tony indicated I had won a car and this was my last chance to claim it.  I didn't enter a contest for a car.  I do not enter online.  He also said he was aware of the Do Not Call list but since this was for a car he phoned, anyway.  If I had left my phone number on a contest entry form, why didn't he say that???

I have NEVER received a phone call like this until I ordered something from HSN, Home shopping network. Also since I turned 50, the ARRP has been sending me stuff every week. Is it possible the ARRP ( Association Of Retired People) is selling our info?????? That would be quite upsetting...

Same as all the others.  This Tony guys is really busy making a lot of calls giving away nothing.  Sounds like you have to travel to the address they give to claim one of the 4 prizes or attempt to win the grand prize, i.e., 2010 Ford Exployer.  Most likely when you arrive at the site, (142 North Orlando Ave., Cocoa Beach, FL) they will want you to purchase a Time Share.  The address we were given is that of a Real Estate Company known as McCoy Freeman Group, or ReMax Elite, the Denise Shockey Team.
Sounds like a call to the Better Businees Bureau is in order.

Just received this call and left a voice mail message, VERY RARE for telemarketers.  Looks to be another scam.  Talks very fast and states I have one on 4 major prizes, one of which is a new car.  The male caller states this is the last time they will call and recognizes that I am on the Do Not Call registry.  Looks to be another scam.  I have read where they use these calls to verify phone numbers and names for collection agencies and telemarketing companies.  If it were true they send a certified letter that I was a winner.  A scam for sure.

So I too have been getting these calls for days, verbatim like the other bloggers... I do have to say kuddos to the company for their employees script following. So I did not see anywhere on here that anyone has followed through with this. So I am. I received my confirmation email and my spouse and myself are going tomorrow. I will not be sharing any personal information with these folks and Christams just passed so my Credit/Debit card would not benefit them as I am broke..lol. So I will pass on the info tomorrow, worst case I waste 90 mins a night away from the kids, with all their loud xmas presents, well scam or not I'm sure well do fine.

Just sent this information and these numbers to the Do Not Call Center:  708-833-8723 the number that came up on my caller ID and the 877-866-4202 x1001 call back number.  It appears to me it is a time-share gimmick.  When I went to www.whitepages.com I typed in the caller ID number and it came back Mitchell Communication Group out of Steger, Ill. 60475.  The person, Tony, sounded African American and Female.

Received verbatim, FINAL attempt my pants.  My number too is private and I have never received any other such call.  Event though my grandmother enters me in sweepstakes all the time for cars, bc I am in desperate need of one. I know the difference between a scam and a legitimate prize. So sad, bc I am in desperate need of a new car for my children and I.
