Harrassing collection calling is illegal. Call Lukehart back. Don't answer any questions. State that you know what they are doing is illegal, that they must remove your phone number(s) from their calling lists. Give them your number(s) that they have been calling and then hang up. If they call you again, sue them for so much money they won't be able to afford a phone ad you can afford to hire someone to answer your phone!

Or have some fun and make up a whopper of a "goose-chasing" story about whomever they are calling about and let them spend a pretty penny hunting down you story. Just make sure you inform them you have a great imagination about where that person might be. So it's clear in court you are storytellinbg.

I have been harassed by this company since May 17th. They started by calling my phone looking for my wife. After explaining who I was they said they wanted to "confirm my wife's social" and then read her last 4 TO ME! I just said "yeah." This was followed by a discourse of how we owed money to US Bank in excess of $2000. I have not had an account with US Bank for over 6 years and don't plan to re-open one. I definitely don't owe any money to them. Now after several weeks of intermittent phone calls and a call to the Missouri Attorney General, they have begun to get very argumentative and harsh on the phone. They are combative and even called my wife back after she hung up on them and left a message telling us how they were a legitimate company and that "we both know that you owe us this money" and "if you dont call me back today we will just take the other course" which I can only assume means that they are threatening legal action. On what grounds I have no idea but I am frustrated at the whole situation. I have told them to send me paperwork and of course they will not, they just want to get mad and scare us into paying what we don't owe. I am a fan of paying what I owe when I legitimately incur a debt but this is harrassment and nonsense. I hope that the Attorney General takes me seriously and that these people can be stopped soon. They called from (720)382-1300 which checks back to Lukehart&Associates P.C.

P.S. If Mr Lukehart reads this I am ashamed that you were ever in the military (if you actually were), I am a servicemember and this kind of activity shames the uniform that I wear proudly!

These idiots are at it again, just received a call from these f****rs. I don't owe any debt to any one person or business/company.  Months ago when they last called me they said I owed money to a bank account. I closed my account in good standing (not owing s***!). Not sure how they got my number. They knew about the account I did have, but I told entertained them and said "ok since I owe this bank, Ill give them a call and pay them" in which d****ead replied "no! you cant do that!".  She was getting upset because she realized Im naturally skeptical and paranoid. Im a veteran! and these d***hits think its nice to rip people off. I actually love it when they call me because I mess with them, and they get mad. But Ill have to wait 6 months to hear back from them. Debt collectors call your a** every week, so if I owe money why do they call me every 6 months. They only reason I answered the call was because It was from the same area code that I have, but I live across the country and away from my native state.

Am receiving repeated calls from 888-790-0752 someplace calling themselves "Lukehart Law Firm" (sp?). I've never heard of them, have never had any debt or legal probs, so this is obviously a scam. My number is on the Fed Registry "Do Not Call List". How do I report this, and to who.

I've been called more than five times. When i finally answered she pronounced my name wrong. Also they seem to have my ss#. And she got affended by the f word. For god sake leave me alone!

Same debt collector as standley and regent.  The attorney is a new one.  No longer jim standley.  The accounts are the same as all of the other companies that keep getting in trouble for legal collections on old accounts and low balance accounts that dont get filed in court.  The whole thing is ran by a company called united credit.  The collections is ran by a guy named Andrew geffen who also ran regent and standley and associates.  I would also be very concerned if the account is old or low balance.  Attorneys can't work accounts that are past the statute of limitations and they rarely sue on small balance accounts,  this makes an attorney collecting the account very deceptive.  A law firm implies lawsuit.  I would always ask for verification before paying a debt.  It is always wise.  Verification should be a bank statement, not a letter.  Anybody can write a fake letter.  I am not saying they write fake letters, I am just saying be careful.  I was advised by someone who thought they might be getting in a lot of trouble pretty soon.  If you have legitimate concerns, like those listed above, you should direct your concerns to the ag and the disciplinary commission for attorneys.  It doesn't mean that anything will be done, but if people report problems then they will probably be forced to change or shut down.  I did hear that Andrew geffens old company, standley and associates, filed hundreds of lawsuits based off of fraudulant documents and he left so that he didn't get in trouble for it.  I also heard he was fired for embezzlement so I don't know which is true.  If either.

In response, YES I for one have called him and asked him specifically if he is a lawyer, and guess what? Hes not........Just FYI   So Im not just on these boards, which Im very thankful for because without them I wouldnt have known right away that it was a scam, but I have also already filed a complaint with the FCC and the BBB. People are not just on here whining and complaining. This is a message board to voice our compaints so other people dont have to go through the same agonies we have. Hopefully with enough of us seeing this and then going and filing complaints on thier own experiences something will get done. Thier are laws for a reason. And your right not everyone is perfect, some people do owe debt, but how would you like ot if you paid money to someone thinking you were paying off said debt only to find out you were being scammed and that debt never got paid? Using a spoof 360 area code to make it look like they operate in WA state when really they are out of colorado. Sorry buddy, no job, but when I do get one, you'll be the first to get paid!  Pffff!

Message left on answering machine from Mr Dwartay? of the Law offices of Luke Hart. The  number was from Aurora Colorado 720-324-4438.  He said to call 1-888-682-9208,  that it was imperative that I speak to him.  I returned the call but got his voice mail and I hung up.  Glad I checked the web. Debt free so not for me.

I love how I get a call from these guys from 720.382.130 and I tell the guy to call me back because I'm at work. He's so professional, his reply was

"Okay, I'll just have a summons issued."

My call came into my caller id as an instate number for a State Farm Agent. The message I got on my machine was from John Moulton from Luke Hart Law Firm and the call back number was similar 888-682-9181 although not the same but I felt worth reporting here. The person they were looking for was a fictitious name I used on the internet signing up for something about 10 years ago. I have since received junk mail to this name as well. They are using a list of names and numbers bought from other places such as the internet. I called "John Moulton" back and I informed him that the person he was looking for was NOT at this number that he had a wrong number although I KNOW how he got the name (fictitious) and number linked together. 10 years ago the internet was so different and I can't believe they are still selling that fictitious name, my bad.

They called my moms house I haven't lived there in 15 years. At present I have no phone number if they want to reach me they will have to do it via snail mail or email. Calling my mothers home is very unprofessional. I emailed the company thru their web sight I will not respond to any other forms of communication. I feel that written communication including information on the account in question should be provided.

Just got a voicemail from this law firm. I called them back at the number provided (866-657-7650). Apparently they are just trolling the phone books calling people with the name of the person they are looking for. They had my right name, but were looking for someone with an address and SSN that I've never heard of. They were very polite about it, and we were done in less than 30 seconds, but that practice of just trolling random people with a matching name disgusts me. I presume they're debt collectors.

Come on who pays a bill and then monitors the web to back up the collection agency they paid? Maybe they are a scam maybe they are not but its sad that someone that works there would do this, shouldnt you be working? This might be why it took 4 times of me telling them they had the wrong number before they stopped calling. So I hope they read this again and think about how stupid they look responding to this if you are legit you dont need to stoop to this just do your job, give people the info they are requesting and I noticed there was a big time gap between posts from people complaining about you guys? You might want to change some things so that doesnt happen again.

Maybe you should do a little home work first before you start blasting places.  I've had to deal with this firm before and every single person I spoke with treated me with dignity and respect. I've visited their website many times and never had any issues.This is a legitimate law firm and if they are calling you, it's probably for a reason.  If they have a wrong #, ask them to remove it. If they continue to call after that, then file your complaints.  But if your getting calls from them, you should probably answer because this is a legitimate law firm who collect on legitimate debts. Just fyi.

I'm not sure who it that is calling you but it's not Lukehart & Associates.  I did have a bill with them, a legitimate bill that they provided proof of first, and I paid. If they are changing their caller i.d., whatever # shows up, you have to be able to call it back and get that company. I'm sure if you were to call 877-917-0110, you would not get Lukeharts office.  I know people don't like collection agencies but I seriously dealt with the nicest collector on the face of the earth at Lukehart & Associates and they provided me with a paid in full statement 2 weeks after I paid my debt.  I generally don't respond to things like this but that law firm HELPED me with my account. They are not a scam and they've called me from the same phone # each and every time and every time I've called it back, I've gotten to speak with a live person.  I just wanted to let you know that it's probably some other place you've been dealing with.

It's great to do homework, it's smart to know what your paying and who your paying it to, it's incredibly ignorant to go off on some tangent about an agency saying their a scam when if you actually do your homework, thoroughly, you'll actually find that they are a legitimate attorney's office who are licensed to collect debt, amongst other things.  I haven't had to deal with this agency but it's a little upsetting to read some of these posts and completely bash someone's reputation and livelihood without actually knowing the truth.  Please, investigate before you speak.  Be diligent. These people keep calling me asking for someone else. I've asked them several of times to take my number off the list, but I continue to get calls from them every month. Today I got a call from 18779170110 someone by the name of Justin Edwards. I told him that I'm really frustrated because you guys keep calling me and this is not the phone of the person they are looking for. He got very rude with me and hung up. So I called him back to tell him that they better take my number off their list. He turned everything on me and said that I was threatening him and If I called again it would be considered  harassment. So I asked to speak to his supervisor and he said that he was the boss and then he hung up on me. I called back and talked with a operator to make a complaint( Wilma Gambino), she was very nice and reassured me that they would not be calling my phone again. Just as I was about to get off the phone and thanking her for helping me, some other guy got on the phone and started yelling at me talking about I've called 20 times and that If I called again that he would report harassment on me. Why he got on the phone, I don't know maybe he needed the last words...this company is very unprofessional and that it's not right that they keep calling my phone. I really don't know what steps to take if they call me again. Does anyone know?

I did have them email me proof of this bill that I owe. I replied back and the email was not a legit email. So why would a lawfirm have a email address that is fake? Very interesting.
