please stop calling - not interested

calls everyday and leaves message to call back that is message from debt collector - leaves first name of Dennis  

left message stating they were ELSCA??? debt collectors and for me to call them back at a number, I didn't listen, I just did a redial.  Talked to Troy Jones x 14855.  He said I was being recorded, I told him HE was being recorded (nifty little app).  That stopped him momentarily, then asked if i was calling about a message left.  What number did we call?  What is your name. Gave bogus name. Said oh sorry probably have the wrong number (ya think?), will remove your number.  It's my Magic Jack number that I really only use for outgoing landline calls (excessive holds like at&t, direct tv, etc).  Occasionaly I answer the 8## numbers "12th Precinct, how may I direct your call?  Hello, Hello? Police Station, is this an emergency?)"  they are caught off guard and usually hang up, some apoligize, some just are too stupid to understand what I said.  I say, give them some grief back and they might leave you along (yeah, right).

filing in court if not contacted within 24 hrs. that happened about 10 times. Now a computer is calling with last chance to settle and have a say in the out come.

These cowards call constantly, yet never leave a message. I NEVER answer callers that are unknown, private numbers, toll free calls, or that I do not know. Period! The last time I did, landed me in court because I answered the phone, and confirmed my identity, thereby (according to debt law) I confirmed that I owed a particular debt! An old, written off, sold numerous times debt that was owned by one of the bottom feeding junk debt collection firms. The great state of Tennessee has little to no consumer protection, and you can be sued by creditors in this state, but the consumer cannot sue creditors! They can swoop in, seize your bank account, take some or all of your funds WITHOUT notifying you! And, the damn bank charges YOU $100 for the privelege! IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHO'S CALLING, DON'T ANSWER, IS MY GOOD ADVICE!

this number called me today... i asked who they were.. they prompted me for a credit card number and my name... i told them if no info is recieved, they won't get info from me.. i belive it's a scam... i should have just made up some thing... i think i will next time... lol

This person calls regularly, but doesn't have the guts to speak to me after I say hello.  Coward!

Ha Ha,...lol... Way to funny. that would be pricless to see their face and reaction on the other end. or tell them to call God he'll forward the Message to your Dad.

On a better note. Very sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. My thought's are with you.

Kinda long winded message about trying to contact my dad who died a year ago. Maybe I'll tell them to call the cemetary where he's buried and see if they can find someone who gives a crap.

Stated they are a Debr Collector and they repeated my full name 3 times and they repeated the phone number.  This was an automative phone call.

Repeated robo calls for unknown person. When calling back to remove from list they will not identify who or what they are without more information from me. Phishing scam.

Unwanted debt collector calling but not for me or my wife. Stop calling and loose my number!

This is an identity theft ring used to scam money via an automated calling service asking for someone with an extremely generic name in attempt to get you to call them back.

Calls will be received multiple times a day, and the numbers will routinely change to cover actions.

This solicitation for personal information has been going on for over 4 years in the US. Just because the number is 877, or toll free, does NOT mean that the call originates from the US, these people can be anywhere in the world thanks to call routing availabilities. Which is exactly why it has been going on for so long. They are likely out of jurisdiction in another country.

This number calls here every day when I am at work asking if I am some name that I cannot even pronounce--something like "Kowkontricko."  Then it says on the msg that by continuing to hang on, I acknoweldge that I am "Kowkontricko."  It offers the same number to call back if I am not "Kowkontricko," but how can an answering machine call back and not continue to hang on.  They know that as well.

Had several of these calls. Finely wrote down number and called back. Robert Wallace answered and asked who was the person asking for. I said I couldn't understand them. I gave him the Acct # they gave me as 46218432. He looked it up and said it was an unpaid bill for Annabelle Laliberte, who is my sister. I have no Idea how they got my number. I said she has been dead since 2006. He said he was sorry and I would not get another call. I have had about 8 calls altogether.

Received calls from this number 2 or 3

Automated system said if this is "used my full name" my name is Cary Smith please call us back at 8778695598. Repeated itself 3 times then hung up. Called it back and it just rings and rings.

It is a credit collection agency in Maryland. They are doing what is called "phishing". Trying to collect information. They were called back and told "not to call". If they do... I will bill them for my time and services. They did call my phone for their purposes.
