I received am unknown number call last night. The guy gave his name and said he will be out today between 1-3 to serve me with court papers. And left the 877 number to call back if Iwouldnt be home so I can arrange another time and also gave me a case number n said I can review documents. Case number started with an AX.  Really. Wtf I'm not stupid. A***oles

I got the same message except mine was from Olivia Lewis and she said she'd come to my home between 1 & 2 on Friday. Everything else was almost verbatim. Must be the script they read from...

its tax time they are scamming!  got the same call as above, doc number, coming to my home or employment, blah, blah, blah.  don't fall for this.  made the mistake of trying for a payday advance years ago and been paying for it ever since.  DON'T CALL BACK, DON'T GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR INFO!

Wow... I just received a phone call from that number this morning and they left a voice mail stating exactly what AlabamaResident said...almost verbatim. They additionally gave a docket number and said they would be serving me at my place of business between 1-4p...and to call back if this is not a good date & time. They left no company name or saying this is an attempt to collect a debt. I also don't see this filing number on my credit report which I recently pulled. I am very upset with this...

SCAM SCAM SCAM.  Go onto the FTC website and search on Debt Collector Scams. They have somehow gotten information from these online payday loan companies even when no loans were ever taken out.  They use illegal tactics to scare people into giving them money.  Their entire approach is a violation of Federal Law (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act 15 USC 1601 & 1692).  Do not call them back and ignore future calls.  Legitimate debt collectors will identify themselves, the company they work for, give the name of the person they are looking for and state this is an attempt to collect a debt on the very first call.  Any other approach is illegal and indicates a scam.  Read up on your rights and what collectors can and cannot do on the FTC website.

I had the same exact call just a few mins ago as well.....down to every single detail you've mentioned.

After reading these messages I'm not doing what there asking me to do..they wanted the money I set up them first..don't know what to do now...worry ..

I received a call from a "personal locator" named Lisa Pasquale (?)  who stated that she needed me to sign an affidavit of service in order to deliver a summons regarding pending legal documentation and listed a docket number. She gave the number of the filing party filing against me as 877-872-3053, told me to call them; otherwise I would be served first at my home address, but if not available there, then they would serve me at my place of employment.  She stated that this was a courtesy call to avoid me the embarrassment of being served at my job but that if they did not hear from me that I would be served two days later.  Although I filled out the application for an online payday loan a couple of years ago I changed my mind after initially applying online and decided not to pursue getting a payday loan.  However, I figure that is how they got my information. The person was vague about the "pending legal documentation" and exactly who was behind the "summons."

I received a call from this number this morning and I was told I received a loan back in 2006 from CashNet. I was told that they have emailed me several times. I've never received an email and requested that another be sent and I would call back once I received it. I've never heard of CashNet and I don't recall getting a loan there. The rep then became really rude and said that he knows for sure I got the loan and that I was trying to stall. I was told that if I don't handle this matter today I would be served court papers.

This is ACS & Associates credit collection company in Buffallo NY.  They call and harrass people saying they are going to be sued.

They give fake court docket numbers out and when you call and ask about it they are rude and they hang up on you.
