I keep getting calls from this number and a mr spenelli and then they didn't call for a week and now Mr soenelli is calling from an unknown number and he calls like 9 times in a row until I answer..I had a payday loan I paid off a Long time ago. He yells too..geessshhh...
heres there local # 716-381-1809 and their website http://www.turningpointsolutionsllc.com/
I received a call today from tps and associates a Mr. Spenelli. Was left this same # to call back, when I did the phone rang many times and had to leave a message and when Mr. Spenelli called me back he said he was calling due to a civil claim and that they have tried to reach me. I told him I have received no info. Then starting asking right a way what I could pay now to make this debit go away. I told him I can't pay anything now and then he put Gordon on the phone who calls him self the number's guy. They keep pushing me to give them my debit card # or bank account # to show good faith that I want to pay this debit. If not that it would go to their lawyers. I have also google tps and associates and can't find any info on them.
I received a phone call from this number this morning at 6:55 am the person stated I was being served with a summons for an unpaid debt from a debt collector, however the actual money and more debt collector contacted me three days ago, I informed the guy named Greg that I already made arrangements and that this is a fraud call and I will contact the FBI the person on the other line hung up on me. How dumb they are.
So, i received a second call from 704-455-5555 talking about serving a court summons and i shoulkd call Gordon to stop it. This woman sounded unprofesion in her message also. Wasnt speaking clearly and kept stumbling with her words. I tried calling her number back and it doesnt work. I highly doubt she is from a legitamate office, plus she never says where she is calling from. Any law office and official i have spoken woth always states their full name and office. Yes, i do have an unpaid debt, but i will not give info to people like this that refuse to send me documents showing my debt and settlement options for me to verify. I will be calling the original company I owe to and try to find out who is authorozed to handle my debt. One would hope they will be professional so they get their money
The guy named Gordon is very unprofessional. Speaks over you so you cant really talk. Gives false information saying the mailed papers and tried calling me on whatever dates. I have not had one person contact me for this debt. I told him mail me papers with the debt and their infor so i can look it over because any action on my part is done. He quickly said good bye and hung up. Very unprofessional
These people from this phone number and harass me non stop. They got me so Upset, they called my job talking about they are shutting the place down and are going to arrest me. They didn't even tell me who the hell was suing me or who I owed money too. F****ng SCAMMERS
Consumers across the country report that they're getting telephone calls from people trying to collect on loans the consumers never received or on loans they did receive but for amounts they do not owe. Others are receiving calls from people seeking to recover on loans consumers received but where the creditors never authorized the callers to collect for them. So what's the story?
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:
is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.
If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.
Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.>
Just received a call stating that I too was to be served between 3 and 5 pm on 9/20/2012 and that I should call 877-873-8710 to get it served somewhere other than where I work. I too got a voice mail message at the number that just said "Gordon". I didn't leave a message because I am not giving them the satisfaction. My experience has been that a summons is rarely delivered in person and is usually handled through certified mail. It's cheaper than sending someone out to deliver the summons.
Well, it seems as anonymous must be one of these scummy little bill collectors.
I have in fact been scammed and defrauded AND filed a police
Report. I have also hired an attorney to file suit against these parasites
Trying to collect a non-existent debt. If you guys tried as hard to get a legitimate
Job as you do trying to defraud people you might be a successful and productive
Member of society. Btw---you spelled anonymous wrong genius.
if you payed your bills, you wouldnt recieve calls from these so called "scum bags". if you have truly been frauded than that raises the question of; why have you never filed a police report? it works both ways people, if the loans are illegal in your particular state, then why are you taking them out?
Hi well. I just posted a few minutes ago..I called and got "Gordon." Said he was in New York and very rude. Said some attorneys had bought my debt. I asked them what it was and they said it was for a "payday"loan. I explained to him that I had never taken one out. She started stating names of my mother and one of my friends who were used as contacts. I certainly wanted to know how he got those names. I hadn't even talked to my friend in years! I told him that they were complete idiots for threatening to "Serve" us at work. He told me never to call him again and he hung up on me.....so, if you get this call..they are disgusting bill collectors. To be ironic, this isn't even a real debt for me. I never took out a payday loan. They are not even legal in the stated for which I live. For the past year, I have had some people from India calling that are rude and curse! Calling me at job and continue to do so after I tell them to stop. And it is for a payday loan. After I explain I am disputing it and want it in writing, they hang up! It is a shame that our government lets us be harassed by these scam artists and debt collector scum.
I just got the same message. They must think we are all idiots! PLEASE! A real warrant would not be served that way....I am going to call them back just for the fun of it and tell them what idiots they are!!! So annoying that people can lie and deceive like this.
Shorty, I got the exact same message that I was going to be served between 3pm and 5pm and to call them, but when I called, I got the voicemail of a guy named Gordon.
Just listened to my messages and that was one of the numbers on my caller ID they also left me a message saying that they were going to serve me papers between 3pm and 5pm tomorrow on 8/29/12 and to call them as soon as possible if that wasn't a convenient time for me to get served but when I call the number it rings and a voice mail comes up with the name of Greg
see my recent post for 877-873-8710....
I've gotten several UNKNOWN calls with messages left for me to call this number related to a summons for me regarding someone trying to sue me and if I don't respond within a few hours and they cannot 'serve' me (even though he told me my address) they would have to turn it back to the 'Warrants' department for further action.
After many years in a law office and having been married to a cop for 23 years, this is NOT the way summons are 'served' or anything handled this way legally so my opinion is that it is a bill collector trying to get me to pay bills that were my son's who is now dead.
Collections agencies are scum of the earth and don't care about anything except their commission on what they are able to collect.
The man said he was a 'Person Locator' but they had all my information so there was no 'locating' to be done!
What happened, I got the same call
My family has received phone calls in regard to "legal trouble" and someone "suing" me.
