I called 877-876-4088, based on previous comments on this site.  This is a legit call.  I stopped at a local gas station near my house for gas.  Once I swiped my cu Visa card, the pump started but quickly stopped on $.06 and would not allow me to pump anymore gas.  I had to go inside and one of the attendants came out and I had to swipe my card again.  This time I was allowed to pump the amount I wanted so two transactions was showing on my account.  One for $.06 and the other for $20.80.  I'm sure those transactions were a red flag that something might have been wrong.

Called me yesterday, immediately after I tried to use my Credit Union bank card at a Wells Fargo ATM. I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. When they called again this morning, I came on here to check the number. It's NOT a scam. It's really VISA Fraud Prevention Services, attempting to verify that the transaction that was attempted with your card to see if it is/is not valid. After reading another user's comment, I didn't enter my card number over the automated system either. I just pressed the option for "I don't know my Case#", and then "0" to speak to a Rep.

When they answered, they asked me for the # that was called (my cell), then they told me the last four digits of my Debit Card and the name of the Bank it was drawn on. They told me they're trying to verify a "Declined Transaction at a Wells Fargo ATM" (which is exactly what I'd done). Then they told me my street number and asked me to verify the Street Name and the City Zip Code. If you don't call them back, your bank will just Cancel your card because VISA couldn't get in touch with you to verify a purchase.

You should take this call.  Before I returned the call, I confirmed with my credit union that the phone number was in fact Visa Fraud Prevention Services.  I had made an international purchase on the internet and they were calling to confirm that it was legit.

This is a LEGIT number. NOT A FRAUD or SCAM phone call. The call derived from my credit union's VISA Card. I went to 2 gas stations within a 10 minute time frame on my commute to work this morning. The first gas station had no working gas pumps after I swiped my car was when I was informed. I then had to travel down the street to another gas station where I purchased gas from. The call was to ensure that I approved these transactions. Answer this phone call or you will not be able to use your bank card!

This is not a scam, phishing, fraud call.  I ignored it based on some of the comments here, and my VISA card was suspended by my bank because I didn't respond to verify a charge I made on the card.

Got several calls from the number, one automated voicemail was left. The message referred to some charges on my debit card that needed to be verified- it gave me a case # to enter when I called back. Before calling back I checked my bank acct online and found that, indeed, some strange activity had been occurring. When calling back, I was asked for my zip code- ok benign enough- but I was cautious only to enter the case number given to me in the message. They requested the last four of my SSN, but I didn't enter it and eventually I was transferred to a human- the only further verification requested was for my street name. After he verified the strange charges with me, he blocked my card and provided me with the phone number for my bank.

This is a well known phishing scam - fraudulent calls claiming to be from a bank or credit card.

If you are concerned, DO NOT CALL BACK ON THIS NUMBER - call back on the number on your statement.  Do not give any information whatsoever to anyone calling on this number.

Said it was VISA fraud alert.  Gave me the last digits and was referring to a transaction made earlier that day.  Called back the next day and I didn't listen to all of the message.  Wanted me to verify zip code.

It was an automated system used by my bank to verify charges made on my debit card.
