I have as well received a bogus phone call from these people, however, I let it go to vm. I worked in collections for 5 years and using deceptive practices or means of intimidation such as a lawsuit or serving papers to pursue any kind of debt collection is illegal. The vm I received was from an unknown caller who did not state their name but was from my "local county courthouse", HA!  She proceeded to tell me that an officer was to be at my house that morning to discuss the charges and if I was not home they were going to be escorted to place of business. If I was not going to be home to meet with them I needed to make arrangements with the "attorneys" office filing the charges, conveniently that ended up being Whyman & Foster. I of course have never heard from them again. This is a scam, you do not owe any money, you are not being charged, and you do have rights!!! Report them to both the FTC and to your local state attorney generals office, enough formal complaints will result in an investigation into their deceptive practices and have them shut down. And remember if they do not read you your miranda rights within the first 60 sec's of the call, let them know they are violating fdcpa and can be fined up to 75,000 for each violation.

I have been receiving calls for several months now. They claim they're from Wyman & Foster Law Firm and I have a case filed with them against me. When they call the number comes up as "UNAVAILABLE" but they leave a msg giving me a number to call, this is only one of many numbers I've been give SO WATCH OUT!!!! Today I received a message from Scott Matthews from County Legal Services stating that they were going to be coming to my house within 24 - 48hrs to arrest me and if I wasn't home they'd go to "The job site" and speek to my supervisor to find out what I was doing and where I was. Mr. Matthews mentioned there were others involved in the case and stated one of their names which happened to be by FATHER who has been dead for almost 3yrs!!!! The phone number I was given today is (855)215-4138.......

Hello Tired of Crooks, I myself became the victim and received an actual paid in full receipt thru email .  But I was so scared and didn't have a clue yesterday when they called me as I was picking up my kids these people caught me off guard at a school parking lot so they got me.  They got into my account and so I thought more about it I didn't owe any Quick Pay day loan.  I went to my bank right away and reported a fraud to get my money back.  They asked if they found this a fraud for me to hold a case against them and I said yes.  So I have to wait for 2 weeks to receive my funds back into the back.  From your posting here I feel very vulnerable and pissed off that they took advantage of the situation.  They sounded convincing because they said they would serve me papers for criminal charges.  I never wrote a check which made me think a second time of a bank acct I had closed 3 years ago.  I never wrote them a check of any kind.  So I researched after the fact and googled this address you got further than I did.  I got "no results" for the address and even a name of this so called law firm.  My husband is pissed off that I got scammed so easily and me too!!  Thanks for sharing all that information it makes me feel better that I know there are major crooks out there doing this.

I just received a phone call from Wyman and Foster.  I am the receptionist for my company and these people have been calling looking for one of our employees which no longer work here.  I was told by AMY at Wyman and Foster that she know that the employee was here and that I was hiding her.  She even told me that I was being records and I told her that is fine and she then asked for HR (which I too am HR) and then she asked for a fax number to HR to go over my head.  I gave it to her but yet to receive the fax.  I have been informed by the owner that Wyman and Foster is to decease all calls to our company.  And if they continue to call we will file phone harassment charges against them.  How about that!

This company is a COLLECTION AGENCY and they are breaking the laws to get to the people that they are calling for.  There is laws out there that will stop these companies and we are not having it.

Voice Mail - "calling pertaining to a packet that should have delievred at your place of employment or residence directly" ,etc... great scare tactics from this 'office'. I'm sorry if anyone falls for this "scheister" from the office of "Wyman and Foster" - or imposter (ha ha ha) - implying he is from a law firm. Any lawyer would not be calling anyone directly - they don't get paid to waste their precious time- they pay people to do that for them. Don't waster YOUR time calling back. If you do pick up when good 'ole Alan calls/calls back, press one of the keys on your phone for about 20 seconds and hang up. Telling him to go and screw himself is also an option...nice try "Alan" ............

Recieved recorded message from Alan Wyman of Why I'm an imposter. (That is what it sounded like, after replaying it I think he was saying Wyman and Foster but with a slur to make it sound like imposter, I guess everyone needs to have a little fun at work.) He said to call him to review page 15 of the packet I recieved at home or at work today as our court date was coming up.
He never asked for anyone by name. I have no problems with any check. I never recieved a packet at home or at work. I have no court dates coming up soon.
But he has a convincing voice..... sounds like what an attorney should sound like .

I  rcvd a call from a guy named Alan 2 days in a row. He left voicemail both times.. The first time he left a vm about some documents PAGE 15 and to call back at the number 8778770326.. I called back and POLITELY told him that he had the wrong number and they said that they would remove my number. The second time he called I called back he told me it was about a CPS case that has been opened.. I told him AGAIN he had the incorrect number. Again he told me that my number would be removed. I told him he said the same thing the day before.. He then stated it has been removed.. I told him if I receive another call from this number I am turning it over to the authorites for the harrassment. He joking said no, no dont do that, your number has been removed.. Dumb jack assess..

I just got a call from this number and as usual if I dont recognize the number I dont answer. So it went to voice message and the exact message that are described here was left on my cell phone. He wanted to talk about page 15 of some document I recieved at work or home. This type off calling has happened to me before. I just dont answer until they stop calling. It looks like they have been scamming for a long time. I hope that they are stopped soon. And now I am not looking forward for the next few months of constant calls from these people.

Next time I call back they can't search by my phone number. Last night I called and listed 20 dates dating back 6 months telling me I got some paperwork and need to call them back about page 15. I said ive never received your paperwork so just send it. Today i had 15 calls from them in a row- the last one said page 15 says youre a bi***. Unreal!!!

EVERYONE PLEASE READ THIS POST REGARDING THIS NUMBER!!!
I was called today- again-by this number, and PROVED that they are a COMPLETE fraud- here is my story:
About 6 weeks ago, on a Saturday, I received a call from "Alan Wyman" from the lawfirm of "Wyman and Wyman".  He stated that he needed to speak to me ASAP regarding, "the documents that were sent to my home or business the day before", regarding my upcoming hearing, which was, "approaching quickly."  He stated I should contact him immediately so we could discuss, "page 15" of the document, and that it was imperative that I speak with him soon, since the date was, "fast approaching."
Needless to say, I was freaking out. I literally had NO idea what he was talking about.  I called the number back, got no answer since it was a Saturday.  I left a message saying who I was, and that I had no clue what he was talking about.  I never heard anything back.  I got curious, and googled the number, since I knew I did not have anything that would be coming to a lawsuit.  I saw the pages and pages regarding this number, and everyone had the same story- everyone's call referenced "page 15" of the document, and that it was very important they hear back.  I saw a few posts where people actually got a lot further than I on the call, and guess what?  They wanted money!  (Shocker, I know...)

Today, I received another call, which I didn't answer.   When I listened to the message 2 hours later, you guessed it- the EXACT same message, VERBATIM, as from 6 weeks ago!  (I know, because I saved it.)  So NOW I am ticked- the first time, I dismissed it, but NOW- they are HARASSING me!
SO I called back.  The very young sounding- about 23 year old- male, speaking English, answered, "Mr. Townes office."  I stated that I received another call from them, that I researched it on the internet, and I knew they were a fraud.  He pretended to get very angry, and said he want to know my name, he was, "tired of people calling and saying they had heard something on the internet."  I told him he was sick, needed to get a life, and hung up.

But then I thought about it.  Thought about the extreme stress it caused me when I received a call implying I was being sued.  And thought of my elderly relatives, who could receive a call like this, and,- (because they couldn't search the internet), -give them their money they had worked their whole life for.  Or worse, have a heart attack, thinking about the stress of being sued and/or in legal trouble.  (I know MY heart was pounding when I got that first call!)

And I decided to dig a little deeper, shall we say...

First I called, and asked, in my sweetest voice, what their business address was.  The same, approximately 24 year old male, answered.  He said the address so rapidly, I could not understand what he said.  I asked him to repeat it, same thing.  (He was deliberately trying to be vague.)  I asked him to spell it out.  He gave a street number and name, and, YET AGAIN, mangled the town name.  I asked him the zip code- same thing.  I made him repeat it.  Although his pronunciation of the town was unintelligible, I got the street and zip.  AND- here it is- here is what he told me-
"609 Dingens, Cheektowaga, New York, 14206"

So I googled it.  Guess what the address was????  A BEST WESTERN HOTEL PLUS GALLERIA INN AND SUITES!!!!

Then I called back.  The first thing I asked him was, what type of business are you?  He answered, "A legal firm."  And I said, Really, that's interesting, because I just googled the address you just gave me, and it's a BEST WESTERN!!!  He stammered- it was so awesome!- and said, "We are right next to the Best Western."  I said, oh, well I guess I must have written the wrong address down when you told me earlier, when I asked you to repeat it FOUR TIMES!!!
Then he asked me my name.  I asked him his name.  This went back and forth, until he said, "Why do you need this information?"  I said, "Why do you need MY name?"  He said, "It's regarding a legal matter."  I said to him, "REALLY?  You told me SIX weeks ago I would be receiving something.  And yet again today.  I have received nothing. And if it were a TRUE legal matter, wouldn't I receive something from the federal government, or state government???"  (The whole time I was talking, I could hear him typing on a computer.  He was searching my phone number.)
He asked my name again.  I asked his.  Then he asked if I was... (a male name that is not my name.)  I said, I don't know, do I SOUND like a John???  (Not the name he used, but I am using it for example.  He kept asking if I was a male name.  I am a female.)  Then I asked how he got my phone number.  He stated that he had the social security number of the male name he called me.  I said, "OH, so THAT'S how you commit your fraud!!!"  He got very flustered at this.
I then proceeded to tell him that HE was the one committing the crime, NOT me.  That HE was the one that was going to go to court someday, NOT me.  I told him that I would call the Better Business Bureau, and that my next move was going to be to call the New York police department in Cheektowaga, since that's where his "supposed" business was.
HIS RESPONSE???  HE HUNG UP!!!!!

PEOPLE!!!  If this SCAM of a business were LEGIT, they would not HANG UP when I say I am calling the police!!!  They would not refuse to give their name!!!  They would not leave a prerecorded message!!!   (OH- when I asked him why they used a precorded message that they played over and over, he said, "I cannot answer that.")  THEY ARE CRIMINALS!!!  DON'T EVEN THINK YOU DID SOMETHING WRONG!!!    THEY ARE THE SCUMBAG THIEVES WHO ARE TRYING TO STEAL PEOPLE'S MONEY!!!  IT IS AN INTERNET SCAM!!!

We ALLLLL need to report EVERY call to the police, the federal trade commission, and the Better Business Bureau.  Do NOT believe a word they say, and MOST OF ALL--  do NOT give them money!!!

(I have already spoken to the police, I don't want to post on here what we discussed on how to trace them down, as I am sure they are reading this.  But they will get caught.)   And here's the one thing they can't escape- karma is a B*tch.  Someday, somewhere, something very bad will happen to them.  Just like the bad things they are doing to others.... they can't escape it.

So rest easy-if you got this call, know that you are the VICTIM.  Peace to all

I got a call from these ignorant people and they had the nerve to have an automated call so when I answered this guy was talking so fast when I asked who was he looking for the message repeated. Later I received a call from someone claiming to be preparing himself to serve me. COME ON, SERVE ME! Whomever it is they represent can STAND IN LINE. For so many of us who have lost our lucrative jobs and careers some bills just won't get paid...at least not right away. I am not going to be bullied by anyone! I called the bums back and left them a message that if they ever called my number again I would report them to the FTC and the FBI and if they still chose to call back they'd better darn-well know my name! Can you imagine? All those messages and not once did they mention my name. They got the right one this time. I'll have my "friends" track them down and SERVE THEM WITH SOME LEGAL PAPERWORK FOR HARASSMENT!

Did you know you can file your own lawsuit without an attorney? Hey, why don't we all file a class action suit against this company!  If you're interested email "Let's Sue 'Em" in the subject line to classaction2012@ymail.com. Wouldn't it be something if we were able to set the standard for how professionalism is defined when it comes to this kind of issue? I'm no angel and I may owe somebody but not more than $100 and certainly not to the point I deserve to be threatened. In fact, I don't think it should matter what the debt is. Every company should be held to the same standard of performance and the expectation should always be professionalism.

Let's band together and make this happen. I'll check in daily and give updates here sharing the total number of responses and give you the steps we'll take and the website we'll use if this takes off. Anyone interested in assisting is welcome, just let me know in the email.

LET'S TAKE CONTROL OF OUR RIGHTS!

I just spoke to the head of the accounting department at my company, and she said: In order to garnish your wages the party has to send LEGAL paper work from the GOVERNMENT to your company's accounting department, NOT JUST A PHONE CALL. They can not garnish anything until they sue you at which time a judgement for payment arrangements will be made, THEN if you FAIL to follow those arrangements they can then pursue the garnishment avenue, BUT they will have to go through the court to make your employer assist them. For bill collections they can freeze your bank account, but only if you sign papers giving them permission or a judge orders it AFTER you don't meet your payment arrangements.

This number just called my work phone. I didn't answer it because I thought it would be a telemarketer. He left a message saying that he tried to serve me papers but no one was home and that I needed to call him back. He said he had court appointments, but I could still call back. I knew there was no one trying to serve me papers so I called back just to be nice and inform him that he had the wrong number...I said, "Hi, my name is Stephanie and I wanted to let you know that you left me a message about serving me papers, you must have the wrong number and I wanted you to know so you can call the correct person." His response was, " HOW DO YOU KNOW!?" Then he asked me what number he tried to call and tried to get my social from me. SCAM! He said, "Alright Stephanie, let's talk....I'm not happy about our relationship." I said, "what relationship, I don't know you." He got mad and said, "Yea you do!"...I proceeded to hang up.

Just recieved a message from Allen Wyman from this number. Funny when he went to say who the message was for I could not understand like it was purposely cut out. Said he needed to talk to me about my court dates that were approaching and he needed to discuss page 15. To call him immediately. He would be in and out at depostions all day but I could contact him and we could talk about my statement. Oh ok. Let get right on calling him back.
