Just noticed an ACH transaction on my checking account for 29.86 for "Roadside Platinum Services."  This charge has been coming out  since 2011 (I will now check my statements every month!)  I've never authorized this--and would not have a need to do so.  My bank states they've changed their name several times (PRS; PRA; Platinum Services, etc.)  It was difficult finding a telephone number which reached an actual person--1-866-903-9772 is what is currently being answered by humans (until they change it due to people like us contacting them.)   They were unable to pull up an account by my name and insisted on a telephone number and a zip code (red flag here...a legitimate company would not need to do that.)  When I asked to speak to a supervisor, a rather surly, young-sounding gentleman came on line...when asked to speak to his supervisor, it was obvious it was the same person exhibiting a concentrated effort to change his voice.  So...I will do everything in my power to obtain my near $1000.00 stolen by this company, but more importantly expose them.  I am concerned about other victims of these thiefs who can ill-afford their crime.  Let's work to expose them, and others like them...use Social Media to its fullest.  You-Tube, Facebook, etc.  are great tools to ensure these criminals can no longer steal from American citizens.  Shame on them.

Does anyone else getting this charge have insurance through GEICO??? I didn't have this charge till I actually called GEICO for roadside assistance. I wonder if there is a connection.

well, no one called from this number, and I never authorized anyone, and its been deducted from my account same 29.86 many times, I just put a block on it, the bank said they can reverse only the last transaction.  trying to reach these hiding idiots doesnt seem to be working.  they have many numbers and no one picks up any of them. :(

I see a memo that hasn't posted yet from that number for $29.86.   Why would anybody pay that much a month for roadside assistance when AAA is about $50 for a year?   I never authorized this service and never heard of it before.   I looked at the Platinum Roadside Assistance site and you are supposed to get 6 months free.    You would think they would have sent me a membership kit sometime in the last 6 months if I had signed up while sleepwalking. lol

Going over my bank statement this month noticed an unauthorized charge from  PRA 877-881-4698 for $29.83.  Looked back over last month's statement found another one from PRA 877-881-5893 for $29.83.  Called the numbers only to get blank air after ringing stops.  Reverse lookup only provides that these numbers are through Level3.com.  Going to my bank to have the charges reversed.  Apparently they are using multiple numbers in order to confuse us and our banks.

Jim, the point is we never authorized the service. This company somehow attained my bank account information and started charging me.....it is called fraud

Do not know who this "company" is. Never signed up for it. Don't have an account number or a phone number to call if I did need assistance.
Amazing how they can just make a charge to your bank acct.
Just think - $29 from me, $29 from you and you and you.... Comes up to a tidy amount.
That's why everyone NEEDS to FREQUENTLY check their bank statement.

I am a happy customer of platinum roadside service. I find it surprising their number is on a website like this... They have always been fair with me. Last august they towed my wifes corola 125 miles. No extra fees, nothing.

I have been using platinum roadside service for years! 29.86 is a small monthly charge when you consider you have unlimited towings on any vehicle! Plus i redeem the entire cost of the roadside assistance in a reduction in my auto insurance premiums!
It seems strange to me to be seeing their number on this type of website...

Company withdrawing money from my checking account that should not be.  How can this company do this make unapproved withdrawals from someone checking account with the account holder signing a form for this.
877 881-5893 will have you call another number 888-903-9772.  Do I have to close my account out? I hate that anyone can take money out without your approval or consent.

I have been getting charged 29.95 every month from these people and the bank says they cant stop them help me someone...

i had a $29.95 charge from my bank for this number. i did not authorize it and can not get hold of them.

Same thing happened to me yesterday. Called the bank and they are returning the charge and signed a form to block further ones. The charge said PFA and on the machine it said DC Processing. Also had money taken out last week from some place called BIEN-AI for $305.41 and also left messages at that number 1-800-452-3050.  Also returned that check at no charge to me-even had the overdraft charge cancelled.  Left messages at both places that if it happened again checks etc would still be returned.

same thing happened to me...got charged $29.86.  Called the phone number and got a message (female, generic accent) listing business hours then, and a message that stated if you called during these hours, all reps were busy, then empty air.  Called my bank to dispute this, and apparently they got a hold of my checking acct, and the only way to stop further transactions is to close my account and reopen another.  Bank is investigating, but we will see...

same thing happened to me today.. for the same amount $29.86. Of course no answer when trying to call that number. I contacted my bank they are blocking any further transactions, we'll see. gotta check every day!!

got an unauthorized withdarwl from my checking account from this number... comes up as PRA, Platinum Roadside Assistance. They will not answer calls. Had to contact my bank to stop any further activity from them

WELL HE WAS NOT STOPPED, i JUST GOT CHARED THE SAME THING, ALONG WITH $320.45 FOR BICYKLE PEDALS.

This was the phone number that was listed on the transaction in my bank statement that had PRA877-881-5893EFT355361 in the amount of $29.86.  I called this number, got an answering service that said PRA was Platinum Roadside Assistance, and to call 1-866-903-9772.  I called that number, was told it was Platinum etc., then was forwarded to a mailbox with the name "2", then heard a message from a man with a Bronx accent, that their office hours were from 9 am to 5 pm Eastern time M-F.  I left two messages, explaining that I never authorized a payment for this service, and that I have service through my own insurance company that is part of my car insurance package.  I don't know HOW they got my banking information, but this is getting WAY out of hand, especially when there are supposed to be safeguards on any personal information when filling out loan applications online!!  These scammers need to be stopped!!
