They keep calling....have told them several times that my ex-roomate is out....and they don't want to give listen.
Approx 2-3 calls a day.

Automated machine. Don't answer this call. If you do, they will start calling you at the same time/days with a live person.

I got the same messages from both of these numbers - also for a student loan from Royal Bank. In general I told him to go pump sand. Then they started using the 877- number.

LOL... same thing here calling from multiple #'s asked to have info mailed nothing ever comes ....hounds for personal information DoB, SIN, ect. i just don't answer anymore ...if a number calls i don't know, unlisted or private, long distance or not ....I don't answer if it is an important call they will leave a message and I call back

Think of answering an unknown # like opening your door to a sranger

5 calls so far today, all the same info as reported above. Do not owe them money so I wish they would stop. I am now just hanging up when they call. I have told them off twice and don't want to waste my breath on them anymore. Guess maybe I will think about changing my phone number. A**les.

Is it really a scam I had a call this morning?

Called from this number at 7:28 am. Illegal phone call. I've told them off, now looking for legal proceedings. I do recognize the info above about a "Mr. Grant". Same place use to call me on 905-886-0555. Claimed they were collecting on my student loan and gave me a number to verify said if I didn't call that number I wouldn't get conformation. That part of my loan was run through Royal Bank so I called the Royal Bank Atlantic Student Loan Centre who said my loan status was paid as agreed I called regular customer service number for Royal Bank and they knew nothing of it. They gave me the number to report it to the RCMP which I did. They started calling about 2 weeks later from the 877 number.

They've never given me a company name nor the name of the caller, they're just calling for "Mr. Grant" as if he's some sort of loan shark who's going to come "get me" if I don't do what they're asking. I've told them to send me documentation saying they can legally collect, they've refused. They're a scam.

Receive daily calls sometimes 4 - 5 a day starting at 8:30.  I don't need an alarm clock, the number wakes me up.  I don't answer and they never leave a message.

Collection agency.  "Mr. Grant" from "PIC".  Partners in Collections???  Sounds like a cheesy mom and pop organization.  The secretary sounds half asleep on the phone, as if she just woke up.  Are they running this out of their house?  Don't be scare of people like this.  Just tell them off and hang up the phone.  If they had anything on you, they'd serve you court papers.  Scare tactics (that work) so don't be suckered.  You have to press 1 to connect to them, then it forwards to a number that doesn't exist.  I had to call them back to find out who they were.  Great operation!  I forwarded them to my bankruptcy trustee (they have to speak with them, not me) who they never called and they keep calling me (the trustee now owns the debt not me).  If they knew what they were doing they would realize they have nothing on me.  But, it goes to show they are imploying scare tactics only.  (They can't scare me into paying now, as I don't even own the debt anymore.)

Nothing to worry about.  Tell them off for me and for yourself.
