Very RUDE young man, with no legal rights to harrass. Don't mind converesing but will NOT be disrespected in such a manor.

Not only is it a collection agency, but one of poor professionalism. Extremly rude to office personel, including the poor girl that must answer the phones. After threatning our establishment with an "on site evaluation" our attorney's advised us tht these people can stand at the door all day. We and others have NO obligations to open our doors to such.  I have succesfully conversed with many debt collectors and come to an agreed settlement; however, with poor negotioating skills such as SHANE SCOTT'S. I suggest if vendor's would like payment, they hire someone and a company better qualified to handle such issues.  Sounded like a very inexperienced young man. Forceful, rude and lack of effective communication skills.    BEWARE, HE'S A REAL CHARACTER!

Got a call from this Shane guy two days in a row. So I called him back and he said they are taking me to court for breach of contract with alarm 24. I told him I never signed anything with alarm 24 and don't owe them anything. To which he kept saying it's your name on contract, so I asked him to send me a copy. To that he paused for second and said you attorney will have to request that. Bullsh.... This guy and company are full of it. Beware and don't be scared. Companies like this need to be reported.

I have been getting the same phone calls from this a** hole, he is a very rude person. After being called an idiot from Shane Scott, I told him to never call me again and get some ethics in his practice and I hoped that something bad would happen to his family just for being such a jerk.Now he just passed it down the line to Dan Walker and he continually harrasses us. I was told that they were coming to my personal property to do an assessment on my assets. I told him I wouldn't dare step one foot on my property cause there will be reprocussions for that action. Shane Scott needs to be sued along with Alazander Associates for all the harrassment and lies they say to conduct business. I have never in my life had to deal with such bad business practices from someone. No matter what you say to Shane Scott he comes back and just talks in circles and doesn't know what the hell he wants or what he is trying to accomplish. This business needs to be shut down for ETHICS, no doubt.

I have received the same phone from Mr Kevin O'Brien and saying that this was a voluntary as we hired this Dan Walker which is a flat out lie.  I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General to get this company taking care of. If I owe any money to someone, they would have taken my company to court. He states in his message that I probably am already aware of WHO Dan Walker is.  (BUT IN REALITY:  NO I HAVE NO CLUE) That Kevin is working for Dan Walker with Alazander and Assoc. He states that someone will be at my house on Monday, October 8, 2012 to do an onsite full asset and liabilities inventory.  

THIS IS A COLLECTIONS AGENCY (even says on their website if you read it completely).  Shortly after my discovery, I called my local Sheriff's Department and they told me that in no way was anyone allowed on my property to conduct any investigation without a proper court order.  Now enraged, I quickly found out where this "Alazander Associates" office was and I called their local police department.  I had them cited for non-compliance of Federal law which states that debt collectors are to advise you that you are calling a debt collector, and any information will be used for that purpose.  I also advised the police department that they are posing at attorneys and I let them know what they had done. I called this Dan Walker back and told him I didn't appreciate being lied to, and that his collections practices were unethical and low.  I am working on getting this company shut down.  PLEASE BEWARE EVERYONE!!!!  Dont fall for these low and out-right dirty collections practices.  I am not a fool, and I am also not one to be messed with.

Same as above on all accounts.  Call was made to my cell phone in Napa CA. Kevin O'Brian had my wife's personal information and we are not behind on any bills.  Calling police now.

I got the call from Kevin, just like everyone else, same song, same verse, I told him to whistle for it.
Made it abundantly clear that if he came around my home or my office I would have him arrested and then he says, "oh, you can call the p[olice, we work with them all the time" wooo hooo Kevin, I just imagine you do.

Point in fact and do not be dissuaded otherwise, IF you owe someone money for anything, they can attempt to collect but their attempts are strictly governed by State and Federal statute AND, before anyone is going to come to your home or place of business to do an "asset inventory"  there are some steps that have to be followed, like they have to sue you, there has to be a trial, you have to loose and after all that they can start what is referred to as post-Judgement  Discovery. That is where they identify and locate your non-exempt assets, Then and only Then do they get a Writ of Execution which will be served by the local sheriff and will name specific property to be seized.

Now, if you have followed closely tell me where you think Kevin and Shane of Alexander Associates fits into this chronology.

The correct answer is, They Don't! They are bottom feeding scum who make their money quite simply by purchasing old old accounts for 2 - 3 cents on the dollar and then cranking out the trick book. Unfortunately enough people panic or get spooked and give them some dough and the cycle goes on and on.

The best defense against these guys is just tell them that you have not received their Original Petition and would and could not comment until you have. Thank Them and wish them a wonderful life because odds are that will be your last encounter.

Continuously calls and leaves no message.

Got a call from "Shane Scott" in reference to $150 debt I owed a coin company.  He then stated he was bringing me to court over this debt. This person then called 3 days later telling me I was entitled to "discovery" etc. etc. I explained I cleared up the debt which had occured when I had to cancel a credit card due to fraudulent charges and I mistakenly neglected to pay the last installment on the coins. As I do not like to owe anyone, I immediately contacted the dealer and paid my debt. This Scott person then stated that I was not only going to owe the $150, but court fees as well.  I called him back later as I became suspicious of the last conversation when I explained I had settled the debt and he said he had not spoken to his "client". Mr. Scott became quite rude  when I asked him for his Juris Number which all attys have.  He obvisiouly is NOT an atty as he did not know what a Juris Number was. His bully tactics have no place in the business world.  I then told him not to call me again or I would submit an affidavit for harrassment. Mr Scott then asked me if I knew what an affidavit was. I have worked in law enforcement for over 20 years.  Yes I know what an affadavit is.   At this point I knew he had ZERO credibility. Conversation was terminated.

I got the same call from Kevin O'Brian.  He said he was a commercial investigator needing to setup a time to come investigate the business.  He said he was hired by Shane Scott and was suprised I didn't know who he was so he gave me "Alexander & Associates" # to call Shane.

Shane said he was hired by a law firm named David Hruska (sp?) and when I asked him to spell the attorney's name and give me his # he was very evasive.  I asked what this was about and he referenced an outstanding bill.  When I asked if he was just a collections agency he said "call it what you want".  I told him thanks and that was the end of the call.

I just read about this being a scam and I am anxious to see if Kevin shows up or not.   What a joke.

I have just received 2 calls in 2 successive days from this Shane Scott, but was not around to answer, and have no idea who this Alexander Associates is.    His message said he was calling on behalf of a client of his, "validating some charges on my credit card & whether I had in fact authorized such charges."   These posts make it sound very suspicious.

I just got off the phone with this a hole... it is definately fake and illegal. He fed me a line of crap but because i have been through so much i never fell for any of it.. including bankruptcy.. that of which who he was representing was discharged. Just like you he posed as an attorney. I asked him where he practices and he said in missouri. i live in florida, so i asked him how he planned on doing anything to me from missouri and he said missouri would have the jurisdiction for prosecuting me in a case against me or my company.... which is bull crap. i told him he was a collection agency and he needed to check his methods because they were all screwed up, and like you, not only did he never tell me what he was doing and follow the laws he also denied being a debt collector!! I laughed at him and told him to bring it on... let me know if i can sign up for any complaints.

I received a message on my phone from Kevin O'Brian stating that he was a Private Investigator working for Shane Scott.  He states in his message that I probably am already aware of WHO Shane Scott is.  (NO I HAVE NO CLUE) That Kevin is working for Shane Scott with Alexander and Assoc. He states that someone will be at my house on Friday, Mar 19, 2010 to do an onsite full asset inventory.  

I do not know who these people are, or what they are calling about.

I received a call this morning at about 7:16 on my cell phone.  The caller by the name of "Kevin O'Brien" left me a message stating that I was to call Shane Scott and that he would be out to my location Monday at 1:00.  I called this Shane Scott with Alazander Associates (http://www.alexassocfamily.com/) and he told me I personally signed a contract with this equipment company (which I NEVER personally guarantee anything).  He also told me he was an attorney and that he would file his case today if this was not settled.  He offered no settlement amount expect the full balance.  After hearing that, I questioned him to find out who this attorney was that he worked for and he quickly told me Kevin A. Times are tough and we are behind on some bills. There was no statement that they were calling as a collection agency. To me, Shane Scott acted as if he were an attorney and his "client" was going to file suit in court and they were needing to obtain this information in preparation for a court case.

This is a collection scam, and I fell for it out of being terrified that I was going to be sued.

I was told to call this number and ask for Shane Scott at Alexander Associates.  I think it's a collection agency.  BEWARE!!!
