Received a call from Jim Kreft or Kraft wanting me to pay a fee for my Jeep I had advertised on Cars.com. I told him no and he made some smart a** comment and hung up on me. This is obviously a scam.

Can anyone tell me anything about this number? I am trying to identify what company it is, or anything else about it?
Some guy named Jim Kraft has an answering machine on it.
Thanks

I also received a call from him and paid the $300 to sell my truck. I just wanted to let you all know that I had a GREAT experience with him. I sold my truck in less than a week. I don't believe it is a scam because it worked for me. Sorry to hear that you all had a bad experience. Thought I would just share my thoughts as I am definitely going to go back to this company again.

I have received several calls from Jim Kraft. He always has a rude remark when I tell him no. I am going to report him and his number to the FTC.

I have my car listed on Cars.com and a women named Tabitha called me regarding my Honda Civic. This is the 3rd company calling that will "help" me sell my car. I figured it was a scam like the others and googled the number, and just what I thought, another scam. Someone should do something about these companies.

I'm so pissed right now:(!This guy just called our company, my coworker was on the phone with a client for about 3 minutes, when he hung up I answered his call....guess what he said to me...OH you just answered...it's been ringing and ringing...and then he hung up.
I called him back and I left him a message, hopefully he won't call anymore...if he does definitely I will not answer.
Kevin R 2009-08-26 15:14:20 Unknown
Call him back and just sit on the phone with him. Keep calling him over and over. Give him fake credit card numbers. Then, tell him he's going to hell.
Junior 2009-07-10 20:03:58 Unknown
He called and said saw our truck in the truck paper. Wannted us to give $ up front. We talked about it and when he called back and we questioned him a little he got a new attitude and verbally attacked us..Pretty sure its not legit.

Posted truck for sale in truck paper and craigslist and received call from
Jim. Tried calling back but only left message. He called again and I was dumb and let him talk me into listing truck with him and gave credit card
number. After not receiving any info via e-mail, I called back and was given 1-800-576-1640 to call. Checked out 1-877-891-6421 on-line and WOW should have done that first. Called the 800 number and got SpecialtyNet and talked w/Hank, who is supposed to cancel credit card transactions. Will see if this happens. He was upset that I cancelled and that I called it a possible scam.

I got the call from Jim Ryan(?) and he wanted $350.00 for selling my truck and trailer he saw in the TruckPaper. He insisted to give him a credit card number or he would take check over the phone if I didn't have credit card!
I promised to call him back the next day. I found this website and thanks to it I won't call him back. The caller ID was 1-877-891-6421.

I have a truck listed on truckpaper.com. Why did he not indicate his interest in the truck in the message? why so rude, unprofessional? I called back and noanswer. I will not answer when he calls back

I received a call from a guy named Amos who claimed to be with Specialty Networks and an "E-bat Motor Dealer." He too tried to explain how he could deliver qualified buyers for my car I posted on autotrader.com. Luckily, my office phone rang before he could get into the real reason for his call, getting my money. Anyway, I am glad I checked out this site in case he ever calls back.

new name (jim ryan) phoned asking if i had a vehicle for sale, after reading other comments I will stay "clear" of this guy. SCUM ALWAYS SHOWS UP WHEN TIMES ARE TUFF!!
Upset Craigslist 2009-03-25 00:00:13 Unknown
They get the numbers from craigslist. It is better to put your phone number in as "five five five one two one two" or whatever your number is so their computer searcher can't pull numbers. B*****ds, lesson learned.

Yep, He has been calling me several times. His phone edict on my v-mail will get no response from me. If he can find a buyer for my listing, than why can't he send the buyer to me and get the buyer to pay him his fee. This is like an old pitch from years ago. What a way to make money!

Yep, MR.GRUFF aka MR. JIM KRAFT... He has been calling me several times. His phone edict on my v-mail will get no response from me. Thank goodness for sites like this that can warn people and put an end to this type of scam! Beware of dealing with this guy! Like many others have said he is rude. Says he has a buyer for your equipment, vehicle, etc. and wants your credit card info. to charge you $350.00 for a referral fee without giving much info. about his company. Told him I wanted to check out his company, website, etc. before I would do anything. He then wanted to know if I would call back that day. He has been calling and bugging me everyday. Oh, and I don't know if it's the same guy. If so, he's now using the name Jim Ryan and Jim Wray.

I'm a little Scepticle myself. I gess I must be parranoyd, hey?
John Paul Farmer 2009-02-19 16:09:47 Unknown
I read these articles and I was at first Scepticle. However, I put my farm equipment up for sale to down size. All of these pieces moved in less than 90 days. Jim Craft has been there from the biginning to the end with expert advise. You cannot always believe what you read> I too investigated this and found these things not to be true. I have done repeat business for all my equipment needs and have sent several of my friends. Nebraska farmers

I got the same phone call as many others from a guy claiming to be Jim Kraft wanting to sell a tractor we had listed and guaranteed to sell it for us. He would not go over too many details with me, I can only assume it is since I am a woman and would only talk to my husband. My husband did fall for this smooth talking guy and gave him our credit card number. Now we too are going around in circles with our credit card company to try proving this guy is a fraud to try getting a refund on our card. I hope this helps all of you out there and saves you from the same hassles we are going through. Please do your research before you give out your credit card to ANYBODY! I know we have learned from it as I am sure many others out there have.

Call from same number. Stated he was a "Ebay motor specialist", and wanted to know where I had advertised my car at. I told him I wasn't interested before he could start his sales pitch.

Jim Kraft has been a god send to me. I was in debt he offered me a deal, to good to be true. With his help I was able to sell my Mercedes!!!!! You can't assume it's a scam, I checked the BBB and Dun and Bradstreet. You should always investigate, but it's a matter of where you find your information.
stark 2008-11-06 20:17:39 Unknown
Unfortunately didn't read this prior to returning their call. I am selling my car and have offers, but figured I would call back. I will report what they say here for further guidance.
