This number calls me..  then no one is there when I answer..

This number calls my cell phone over and over and never leaves a message.  So as far as I see it I will never answer.  It is always a salesman if they won't say what they want on your voicemail.

THESE PEOPLE KEEP CALLING OUR BUSINESS LINE.  WE ARE ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST AND I HAVE CALLED THEM AND TOLD THEM TO REMOVE OUR NUMBER FROM THEIR LIST!

Calls my cell phone insisting I am a business even though I've told them I am not. Morons.

They are unbelievably persistent and obnoxious.  We receive a call from them almost every day.  I have asked and even told them to remove us from their call list, but they say that only my boss, the owner of this company, can request that.  Now when I see their # on caller ID I pick up and hang up without speaking to them.  :-)  Still irritating that it takes time out of my day to deal with these dingbats!

this company uses a automated dialer and they dont really manage it well.  When I spoke to a the person that called me they advised me that the do not call list does not apply to business to business calls.  The person I was speaking to gave me the names of the vp of their telemarketing department and his boss-Nathan Warshaw.  Just call him or his boss Mark Lorimer.  They have a generic number I found on their website that you can call and then type in the last name of the person you want to reach and it will take you to their voicemail- 888-700-8181.  Keep calling them and I bet they will take you off their list.

I'm getting these calls almost on a daily basis.  It is queued to get a person on the line when I answer.  I just told her that if she calls one more time, I'm reporting her.  She says, "who do you think you're going to report me to?"  Well, I had a few choice not so nice words for her and hung up on her.

They called but when I answered there was no response.

Here's what I think is happening:  The caller is incentivised financially to dial numbers.  The caller knows no one wants to talk, so he/she dials and doesn't talk because it keeps them employed.  

How else can you explain calls from someone who doesn't talk?

Caller asked for the "home owner."  I asked what company he is with and he said "AMI."  I asked to be taken off their marketing list.  He said he could accept that request only from the home owner and hung up abruptly.

I went to advanceme.com (the companies website) and found "tips for my business success" and here is their very own number one tip:

"In many businesses, the first customer interaction comes through the phone. So what kind of first impression are you making?"

which I find hilarous after seeing first hand what type of first impression their own employees' make. anywho - i submitted an e-mail requesting my number be removed - haven't heard a response yet. Good luck.

i am soooo irritated. i tell then to stop calling everytime and im not nice about it. im mean, i cuss i yell i insult them and i still get calls. im begining to think a "do not call" list doesnt exist. if (when) they call again i am going to have to start messin with em, i like the idea of giving them a forward number to someone else.. and who ever said they gave them a number to another telemarketing company, thats pretty funny

"Advance Me" is the name of the company and they do small business loans

I too am afflicted by this telemarketer.  I've been on the Do Not Call list since the beginning. How  many times do I have to report the calls before the FCC takes action?  I'm tired of racing to answer the phone only to find out it is a telemarketer who won't even talk but won't take me off their list and the FCC does nothing.  Maybe some lawyers' group needs to take up our cause.

They just started calling me about a month ago. I too am on the NO CALL list and they still call. They are required by law to check the no call list every thirty days so I went back in and listed all my numbers again. If this does not stop these clowns I will file with ALL government agencies. We also have a state law that we can file with as well. Here is something to try , tell them that the party they are looking for is no longer at this number and give them your State Representative's home or business number. The way I see it is that if our government can't make laws, and enforce them, then they should take the calls.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year To All!

I am also getting a number of calls per week from this phone number. I think it is the same phone number I have already reported to the FCC. I feel there is no need for me to continue to report these people and to have to continue to fill out reports on them because the FCC sent me a form letter to fill out AFTER I reported them...duh~~~I had already filled one out online, so I see no reason for the FCC to send me form letters in the mail, which would be me filling out the same form TWICE! I don't have time to repeat filling out forms.

I have had so many calls from this number, I almost have their phone number memorized~~~....when I see the number come up on my ID box, I just ignore it and let my answering machine pick it up...However, no one ever leaves me a message from this number.

just got a call.  I have been receiving a lot of these lately. I pickup, and  all I hear are background voices. HELLO?! nothing.  We are on the do not call list. I'm going to click on annoyed employee link and report them. Next time they call, I'll keep the line open to rack-up their bill.

Received this call and there was no message left.  I'm on the national do not call list and feel that this shouldn't be happening.

I get the same message at work. I've reported them 3 days in a row now. Always file a complaint from the National Do Not Call Registry. www.donotcall.gov. Maybe it'll help.

Like everyone else, we have been receiving calls from the same number. I also informed them that I was on the do not call list. I was also told that I would be removed. And like most of you, we are still getting calls. I went back to www.donotcall.gov and started reporting the number on their website link. I suggest that you do the same. Let the FCC deal with them!!

The caller asked for the business owner by name. Our policy is to get detailed information about what the caller wishes to speak to the owner about. The caller refused to give any information and stated that she would just call back. I explained that if she could not leave a message she should not call back. She was very forceful which would preclude her from anyone the owner would be interested in spending time on the phone with. I can't imagine anyone being interested in doing business with a company that phone solicits and is ignorant about their practices.

At least Im not the only one this is happening to.  They call my work 3 times a week. Now that I know they do this regularly its time to start calling them back for a change! Half the time when I answer it nobodys on the line. Im thoroughly annoyed.

I've started just putting them on hold and letting their phone bill run up.  Hope this stops their annoying calls.

The caller from this number yesterday asked to speak to "John," then asked if this was the number for St. Elmo's Tavern. There is no one named John associated with my cell phone number, and my cell phone is not associated with a tavern. I thought it was a prank call or a strange wrong number. The same number called my cell phone again today, at nearly the same time (2:43 p.m. yesterday, 2:40 p.m. today) and hung up as I answered.

I'm the original poster. I have called this number back several times to make sure that we are removed. First, "Dexter" said the database to remove phone numbers was down so he would have to write down each number individually and then pass it on. When the calls continued, I spoke to a "Ms. Scott," who advised I e-mail the marketing department (donotcall@advanceme.com) with all of the phone numbers and they would be removed immediately. Well, we're still getting calls. I called back to speak to a supervisor and "Eugene," who answered the phone, said I could speak to him. I told him the issue, and he said he would remove all of the phone numbers. When the calls continued, I spoke to "Ms. Scott" again, who said it would take time for all of our numbers to get out of the system (24-48 hours). It's been approximately two days since that conversation and I'm sick of getting these calls. Immature or not, I've taken to calling them back, slamming my phone on my desk, and hanging up. Hey - if they inconvenience me (which frequently happens when I rush to answer the phone or put someone else on hold), I'm for darn sure going to inconvenience someone else.

I keep getting these calls daily. Sometimes three times a day.  I am on the do not call list.
