Cancelled my service with Time Warner Cable as of today (formerly Insight Communications in my area). I have received a call from two different numbers connected with my TWC cancellation today! 800-273-0144 left a recorded message on my voice mail, and this 877-892-4959 never said anything. Pfft, and they wonder why no one wants their services! Personally, I am done subsidizing those who can't afford cable, paying for Spanish channels and other garbage channels that are worthless, and paying for their employees to have free cable and discounted internet services! DONE!!!
For those who don't know this, you CAN get free analog TV channels with just a decent antenna. You can also watch many current and old shows on your TV through your high speed internet connection. There are much cheaper options, too, if you want movies.
On another note, I find it comical that these morons don't care to reward their prompt paying, long-term customers with better deals, but they try to bribe you to keep your services when you call them to cancel!

Time Warner called on mimy pay as you go cell phone number. It cost me $1.00 when I called this number on my missed call list.
I called this number back and I am still waiting to chew them out it has been 18 minutes still get a recording
All of our reps are busy assisting others customers please wait for the next rep. I will and I will and I will give them a piece on my mind!!!!!!!

I didn't even cancel service with them...I actually upgraded my internet service....and now I've been getting this call at least 2 times a day. It never rings long enough for me to get to it, and never leaves a message.

These companies make me laugh... in the days of computers, it takes them 30 days to remove you from their call lists. But they can add you to a billing over the phone to get their service immediately!
You can get an app on your cell phone that blocks numbers. That's what I did...

I called the TWC billing department (Columbus, OH and Suburbs #:614-481-5050) and told them that I was receiving these calls from this number. TWC stated it was for late bill payment. I get my bill automatically withdrawn from a credit card so there was no late payments. The billing agent was kind and stated that there would be renumeration for the calls. I also notified them that this may have been because I have canceled my service and requested pick up of my equipment. The agnet stated that this was not the case and that my case would be moved to service and to disregard the telephone calls. Here's hoping this is fixed sooner rather than later. I also asked if the technician coming to pick up my equipment would be calling me from the same number. She stated that each tech has their own telephone number. I blocked the number on my phone but still receive notifications of missed calls. I also contacted the number that has called me and the menu stated it was special promotions.

They have been calling my phone 3 or more times daily saying I owe them money. I don't owe you crap since you morons messed up my cancellation day saying I NEVER called and NEVER returned my equipment...when I have a receipt to prove it! Will never use them again!

The reason that phone solicitors do not leave a message is that the Federal Do Not Call registry and FCC will not follow up on any complaint if no message was left. It is a quirk in the law. All that one can do is place your number on the registry and hope that the callers honor the system. Also, you can buy a device from Amazon that will block up to 80 numbers. Some may block more. I find that after a number has been blocked for a few months I can remove it to make room for new callers to be blocked.
You can sign up for the Do Not Call Registry two ways:

?Online registration is available at the FTC's web site, www.donotcall.gov
Also, you can contact your phone company and they will help if a caller is being persistent.

Time Warner. I cancelled. They wanted me to send them $148 and in fact I owed them my usual monthly #56.bucks. It was a mixup but I got so po'd I cancelled anyway. Glad I did... I go to the coffehouse now to check my email.
