We have been getting about a dozen calls from this number since toward the end of April.  If they had done their homework they would have discovered we ALREADY have a subscription to the Citizen--we've subscribed to it for decades.  Their number is going up on my anti-telemarketers website, unsolicitedcallersexposed.webs.com, which I'm just in the process of updating.

I got the call too. You tell them no thanks and they just wait a day and start calling all over again.
It is the Globe & Mail, or so they say!

i picked up on this call after not having done so several times before.

an agent spoke. i confirmed that the caller was cms. i then asked to be removed from the cms list for all its clients. this, i was told would be done and would be effective for a period of three years. i asked for a confirmation number. i was then referred by a trainee to a supervisor who turned out to be a trainee handler before being bumped to a "supervisor" by title.

this individual reminded me that telemarketers for newspapers are exempt from the requirement to honour the [federal government] "do not call list". i was advised that therfore cms is not obliged to give confirmation numbers. but cms, she confirmed, would remove my number from their internal list as previously promised. this could take 30 days.

(is this the period during which affiliates are notified that the number is "live" and usable for non-exempt telemarketing calls? call me cynical.)

anyway, i pressed for some way to reference the conversation if ever need be. the supervisor replied that all calls are recorded. therefore the conversation could be referenced by the number called even after it had been removed from the database [aka "suspended"]. best i could do over the phone.

May 10 2013 - Received a first call from this number at suppertime last night.  The second call came just now which is mid morning.  Callright Marketing Services.  Anybody who calls during the supper hour is a telemarketer.  I understand by other comments that it may be The Ottawa Citizen newspaper who have hired them.  I say to everyone...cancel your subscription to the Ottawa Citizen on the principle that they use telemarketers to do their business.  They stoop to this tactic so they don't deserve your subscription.  Several cancellations will send a strong message to them.  Consumers do have powers if they would only exercise them.

CMS on behalf of Ottawa Sun, wanting to know if I was interested in Sunday delivery of the Ottawa Sun.  Accepted my no and moved on.  My kind of telemarketer!

Is the CRTC not a Government run Agency/Agent paid for with our Taxes,  Can we not Sue them for this ......just got three more calls this morning from same number and already emailed and called them to be taken off the list also called the CRTC and there looking into the my "accusation" now I'm at fault?..... Please!!!!!

Sick and tired og getting calls from 1-877-894-0084. I do not pick up they leave no message and it is a pain to have to erase all the telemarketers #'s as they fill your mailbox quickly.

From now on everytime they call me I'm calling a random person from their business and leaving a rude message till they take me off.

I can't get the operator at their bloody service.

I've called the police they can't do anything because they aren't telling me they are going to kill me.

So everytime they call me, i call them.

I also registered with the "do not call list" lets see if that works.

Keeping getting the same call and no answer, day and night regardless weekday or weekend.
What are they try to sell or target?

I took this person's advice and bought this phone. works wonderful. I have blocked 2 numbers so far. They called once, and realized I mean business and haven't called since. Great phone, great sound etc.

This company calls my cell phone several times a day.  It is incredibly annoying.  There is never anyone on the line.

Followed the link above and sent the president (wayne) an email. He responded the next morning and said i was now on their do not call list.

We have calls from this number early mornings.

Since July 16th, they've called me 27 times. I don't answer; I just watch the number come up because it's almost amusing. How many times are they going to attempt to call before they realize that I'm a) refusing to answer, b) dead, c) too busy. Any of the above possibilities would mean that I'd be a poor prospect for their stupid newspaper. What kind of imbeciles run Callright Marketing Services? 27 times! Really! You deserve to be mocked!

I am TOTALLY ticked off.  Please delete  this number 7890 -476-8285 immediately.  Further calls will be reported to the National Do Not Call list.

I, too, am on the Do Not Call List and I repeatedly am getting phone calls from this company. The first time I answered a call from them I emphatically told them that i did not want to be contacted again and to not call. Guess what! They called again. This time I ascertained that they were calling on behalf of the Globe and Mail. I then called the Globe and Mail sales department and complained about the sleazy means of marketing that they're using. Meanwhile, the idiots at Callright Marketing Services continue to call me repeatedly, numerous times each day. They never leave messages. Why do we have to go to ridiculous lengths to not be bothered by these companies? This is clearly an abuse of the Do Not Call list and yet they continue to call and harass. Please make them stop!
