Been receiving calls from the 877-897-3700 number.  Leaving threatning messages.  Saying if I don't call back they will have me arrested.  It's some guy with a indian accent, can not understand what they are saying.  I called back and they wanted my last 4 digits of my social and I said no, then wanted to verify my street address I said no.  I said what is your name he said Scott.  Really and indian with the name Scott.  I hung up, but they call every morning starting at 9:00 eastern time and they continue all day while I am at work. I think I will contact the attorney general's office.  This is getting out of hand.  I am thinking of changing my cell phone number as well.

Calls a couple of times a day, every day. Never leaves message. Annoying.

This number has been blowing up my phone for days.  The voicemail doesn't record the message properly and when I actually answer, nobody is there.  I just called it back and a man with a very thick Spanish-type accent answered and the name of the company was "Commercial Outsourcing."  I'm pretty sure it's a collection agency for CL&P (CT Light and Power.)

This is a collection agency for ?. They won't tell you anything without giving SSN and Address. I asked to be removed from call list. Will see if it happens. They won't tell what company they are collecting a debt for. They are not very nice at all.... They are Very RUDE ON THE PHONE!
DON'T TRUST THEM. Get name of this company and please post here for all to see.

They call and immediately ask for your SSN without telling you what their company is!

I have been getting called by this number for better than a month.  Finally today they attempted twice to leave a message, once succeeding.  The voice on the other end indeed had an Indian accent.  The call started by mentioning if I was not the intended recipient, I was to call the number back so I could be removed.  Then, if I was the intended recipient, I was instructed to call back them back at this number but not be on a phone where others could listen in on it as it contained "private information," and that I was to reference a certain file number.  I have not returned the call, nor do I intend to.  I am also considering getting a copy of my credit reports so I can see what -- if anything -- I owe to anyone and whom and to confirm that my records are correct.  How the hell they got my info in the first place, I don't know... but I am considering changing my number over it.  It is Convergys... and I am considering filing a complaint against them with the attorney general's office or whomever.

This is a collection agency for New Hampshire utilities.

Got a call from them today. They had some "information" to discuss and wanted the last 4 of my ssn or my po box (don't even have a po box). they called asking for me under my maiden name, it's a total scam! I yelled at the lady and asked her if she thought I was stupid. She apologized and hung up!

I have been receiving calls from this number for more then a month.  Today I called the number back and after several minutes of wait I finally talked to a woman looking for someone not at this number.  They were almost like interrogators trying to extract information.  Finally I told her I would have to ask my assistant to turn on the phone recorder while I gave her an advisement of the notice of her breach of the South Carolina Unfair Trade Practices Act. for referral to the Office of the Attorney General.  The lady replied "we will remove your number and we apologize."  I don't have an assistant nor a phone recorder and have never read that Statute but deception is a two way street.  You might try something similar.  They don't like to have state statutes quoted to them.

They've been calling me like crazy. They called me about 4 times within 1 hour....and a total of about 15 times in one day. collection agency.unprofessonal. left a robotic foreign sounding voicemail that had blank spots in it and made very little sense. they need to get their s*** together i already made 2 payments and they keep harassing me still.

This is Convergys/ER Solutions, a third party collection agency.

They called today, I was concerned that it was my mortgage company so I answered but was listening to a recording to please hold for an important call.  I had to hang up, but called back a few minutes later, still nervous in the event it was my mortgage company and they answered the phone immediately and asking if my name is .... (and they were correct) and then followed it up with "This is Convegence" (something like that) "I will need the last four of of your ss#", I said I am sorry, I am not going to give you that information.  Then they said "that's fine, please give me your address so that I can verify that you're the correct person".  I again said, I am sorry, I am not going to give you that information either.  She snapped at me and said that "she wasn't asking me to GIVE her any information, just asking me to VERIFY the information" but then asked again for my street number and name?!  I said, what? YOU TELL ME the information you want me to verify.  She then said, YOU HAVE A NICE DAY and hung up on me.

Ahhhh...wrong answer.  

This is a possibly a collection agency fishing to see if they got the right person, or a scammer trying to collect personal info..  Of course, if they were 100% on the up-and-up, they'd ID themselves, so interpret that as you will.

Same story....calling me three times a day and won't disclose what the matter is about. They keep saying its a personal matter and ask me to confirm the last 4 digits of my social security number.  I agree, completely shady!!

The person calling my cell phone would ask for a verification of my address and the last four digits of my ssn number I told the person with a foreign accent that i dont give that info out to anyone and he said i was going to get a letter explaining what this was all about but the dumbass wouldnt tell what his business was all about so i told him take me off your list and dont call again. To me this is a real shady operation i wouldnt trust them with any information

This number has been calling me relentlessly.  Not a collection agency, wouldn't tell me what they wanted, someone with an Indian accent said they were with ER systems and then asked for my last four digits of ssn or a post office box number.

Pure fraud if you ask me...think of the informaiton they could have access to with these two pieces of information??? IF they already have some of my other information???

I told them to quit calling me and to take my number off their list and that I woudl be reporting.

I did not get a call for about a week and now just see that they tried me again.

This is ridiculous.  They really think that I'm going to answer when they can't even leave a vm regarding who it is.  Thank god for android phones having an option to send the call right to vm...hahaha idiots!

They have been calling for like a week now and I do not pick up. They never leave a voicemail. I called the number back just now and it rang like a house phone and some girl picked up just saying "hello" , not even saying "thank you for calling..... or You have reached..." Im good. Def not picking up that number. they will get sick of calling and getting no answer from me.

these people call every day, three times a day, from three separate phone#s. I have twice asked them to take me off their call list.  Can't be done, apparently.

what collection agency and for whom?  and according to the ACT, they have to identify themselves as collection agents or they are violating the ACT.  if you tell them to stop calling, they have to, however, you need to ask them who they are and what is their address.

this number calls about once a week and leaves a blank voicemail. i never answer because i didnt know if it was one of those high per minute charge calls.

This is a collection agency. They are attemping to collect money owed for whatever you owe.

This number is a collection agency.  They call about 3 times a day.  All for a phone bill that was neglected because i had back surgery.  so if they call your house be prepared to be harassed and when they send u to a supervisor that guy calls you stupid and a liar, and then they call u 2 more times that day.  Then they will have another supervisor call you and he will scream at you like hes the strong arm of the whole operation.  Then he will hang up on you.  I called him back and he said that he tried to call me back,  because i hung up on him.  So stay away from this number.

they keep on asking for my husband but and a christien johnson and I always say wrong number and One Day they Called and a lady answered and she asked me if pedro was there I asked who is this and she who is this and kept on repeating for about 45 seconds and then she said do u like playing games and then I said no and she hung up.  Her name was virginia

I've gotten several calls on my work cellphone from this number.  They never leave a message.

Caller asked for Larry. I told him he had a wrong number. Larry was my husband who died in1990. We have a common last name so the caller could have been calling all the Larry X's in the phone book.

Answered the call no one replied to "Hello": My number is completely new and has only been active for less than a week. Not cool.
