Just received this call; didn't answer it because I did not recognize the number. After having read these comments I,'m glad I didn't. I live in Perth Amboy NJ By the way, I do not have an account with Sovereign bank I have it with a Credit Union.

Sovereign Bank, they keep calling asking for someone who does not live here. I NEVER had an account with this bank. Asked them to remove my number and they said they could not edit the account without the persons consent. Then they said I will just continue to receive calls and there is nothing I can do about it.
| nub 2013-03-06 21:14:55 Unknown |
I blocked the number.
Closed my account near 2 years ago and they sent me a bill for 50$... Then because my account has 0 funds... ITS CLOSED... they sent me a bill for 35$
They can suck it, I closed the account they are not getting a dime.

The toll free number 877-898-3606 has been reassigned to a legitimate corporation.
Prescription Solutions an Optum Rx.
It is now the refill number, no longer a scam number.
You can safely return their calls now.
Some so-called phone companies do not want to use up their
"Reserved 8XX block" of numbers, so they lazily reuse a number
as soon as it is available.
Make it a habit to Google whenever you receive a new phone number.
Good luck from: Phone Guy

Go to a credit union and open an account because they are not subject to the same rules that banks are. These kinds of practices need to be put out in the open and stopped and if they have no customers they will have to close. I got a call from them and don't even have a bank account, anywhere!

I had them reverse fee on my daugther account because it was her aunt gave her a birthday check that bounced. The bank slammed my daugther with -165 charge. I was able to get 75 knocked of but really?

Same thing just happened to me! I'm guessing this call I just got, on a Sunday at 11 AM, was to inform me that I need to pay this, even though it happened over a week ago. What's funny is that I had overdraft protection on the account, which would have made the fee only $12 or something like that. But of course they conveniently closed that account and decided to leave the other one open even after I had it closed weeks ago. Honestly. Thinking about switching banks, but are other banks really any better?

They called my freaking boss and left a message for me. I have never banked with soveriegn nor will I ever for that awkward confrontation they just caused me. Like I have never even been in one and they called my boss looking for me??
I called back and the lady asked what state I live in, my name, DOB gave it to her. Then she goes if you give me your social I can check on that I just laughed and hung up, sounds like one hell of a scam.

I have never responded to one of these before. I am a hard-working individual who is a victim of these practices. You sir, are an insensitive, ignorant, extremely unkind bully! The issue that is being discussed has nothing to do with the unemployed (although in this economy that cannot necessarily be helped, either). It does have to do with the poverty some people face even though they work. Look in the mirrir and you will see a meanspirited, heartless soul.

I have three missed calls from this number and no message. I have a sovereign bank account so I'm assuming it was them.

Shut up and pay up.....this is what happens with people who have no jobs, they sit at home and blog instead of looking for work to pay their debts to society, don't blog.....jog........to the nearest resume and get working

I closed my account two weeks ago but forgot to call blockbuster and ING to stop the ACH withdrawals and these thieves allowed the charges to go thru on a CLOSED ACCOUNT so they could charge me the $35 and $5 a day fees! Biggest bunch of thieves I have ever seen...
| totally pissed 2010-04-23 23:15:05 Unknown |
i deposited a check into my second account. it bounced. sovereign decided to withdraw the funds out of my primary account with set off a domino effect of all those checks in that account to bounce also charging me $35 for each check and debit purchase i made. it took me a weekto confirm it was their error and instead of crediting me for 10 insufficient funds fees ($350) they only credited me three because they said i used the funds that were still in the secondary account, some bogus excuse to steal my money. i have had enough of this bank.

Dear Call Recipients:
Santander, which now owns Sovereign Bank, has to make up for the billions they lost in the Bernie Madoff debacle. And you, the banking customers, will have to make up for the loss.
If this has not happened to you yet, watch out: you will find that even though you may have made a legitimate deposit to cover your checks and purchases, Sovereign Bank will delay the availability of your funds deliberately, all the while accepting?very quickly--checks that you probably mailed after the initial deposit. In most cases, a handwritten mailed check is instantly converted to an ?electronic check? and presented against your account the next day, weekends included, even though the company you mailed the check to, resides in another state. This ?trick in the system? allows Sovereign Bank to charge and extra $35.00 (unavailable funds fee) for every quickly converted electronic check, sometimes resulting in hundreds of dollars in fees. Albeit this ?trick? is not illegal, it is, however, highly unethical. You have been warned.
