The toll free no. 877-902-4806 is definitely legitimate. The computer voice has called me on several occasions to validate Visa purchases made on my Visa card, primarily when they were out-of-the-ordinary purchases like from another country, or when I vacationed in Hawaii. I'm grateful for their diligence, as you never know (like when you give the waiter your card in a restaurant) is someone hasn't copied your card info in order to scam you. I'm very happy with Kitsap CU's performance, but if in doubt you can always call them or the no. on your card directly.

This is a banking scam. DO NOT give them any of your credit card information!

Claim they are from Visa fraud prevention, wanted specific personal info such as address, zip code etc.

is this a company connected to kitsap federal bank that checks for card fraud?

I got a call from the same number (also for Visa fraud prevention). Computer voice. Request for personal info seemed suspicious. Did not give them info. I will call card issuer, Kitsap Credit Union, in the morning.

I just called Kitsap Credit Union (800-422-5852) and have verified that the call from Visa was legitimate. Still, be careful out there folks.

I just called Kitsap Credit Union too. They also verified that the call from Visa (actually Falcon) was legitimate. They are actually trying to protect their credit card customers from unauthorized purchases. You do not have to call the 877-902-4806 number though. Call the number on the back of your credit card and speak to a Kitsap Credit Union representative directly. They will take care of it over the phone personally and professionally. I was very impressed with their customer service.

I just received a call from this same number. I called the Kitsap Credit Union and spoke with a representative and they verified that the company is "Falcon Fraud" and it is legitimate company that they use. It turns out that they caught a fraud attempt (via the internet)on my account.

877-902-4806 called about suspicious charges on VISA. Returned call. They (Brenda) wanted info. Wouldn't give it. Called the VISA number on the back of card. They said it is legitimate. Still I would always go to or call your actual bank or the number on your card.

I almost never use my Kitsap Federal card. One afternoon I made one big purchase and one small purchase. That evening I received a computer call asking me to phone Kitsap Federal fraud prevention at 877-902-4806.
I called, waited until I got a person. They asked for my card number, and SS number. I responded that I could not give them. They then asked for my name, address, and zip code. I gave those. At that point they provided details of the small purchase. This essentially confirmed that they were legitimate. I confirmed the purchase price and gave them some more information such as value of the large purchase. That was apparently what they were looking for, and they said the purchases had been validated.
I was struck after the call how it was a mutual balancing act. Both parties need to confirm their identities without giving away too much. By refusing to provide the card and SS numbers, I may actually have passed a test. Hard to say.

received a call about fraud protection and gave the last 4 numbers of my card. Icalled the kitsap credit union and they verified the number as coming from Falcon, and it is legitimate. they wanted to verify charges from our vacation.
I think the company should say who they are.
