See details posted as replies.  Caller was impersonating a federal officer stating that he had a federal warrant for my prosecution for Social Security Fraud by Deception.  Caller was attempting to extort money in return for agreement not to prusue prosecution.  Caller is guilty of so many FCC and Federal Law violaltions that it is impossible to enumerate here, not to mention dozens of Fair Credit Reporting Act and Red Flag laws.  At one point in the conversation he actually divulged the full social security number of another of his victims in an effort to persuade me to give him mine...not jus the last 4 digits, the full number.  The caller identified himself as Scot Adkins with Credit Management Solutions.

He numerous threats and demands until confronted with questions about who he was, where his organization was, and the exact details of the warrant...to which he became irate indicating that he didn't have to give me any details.

It was later in the conversation that I got a word in and let him know he had obviously reached the wrong person....as he was calling me by the wrong name.....

These folks are the very reason that the consumer protection agency was formed and this illegal activity needs to be stopped immediately.

The caller was recorded as all incoming calls to our organization are recorded.

If there is any doubt in your mind if these folks are frauds, go to the website CreditManagementSolutions.com and you will find what is technically known as a 'empty storefront' on the web.  If you click on any of the links (there are only two) on the site, you are obviously looking at someone's kindergarten project -- and if you click on Contact - the page is completely empty....That is assuming that since they answer their phone as Credit Management Solutions, these are the same folks.  *disclaimer:  If these folks are not affiliated, then the owners of the website also have the right to prosecute for defaming the corporate name and any information gathered can be shared....looking for charter of incorporation or business licenses, etc.  From what I am reading, the IQ level is the same....

The Federal Communications Commissions Board is now also in play since many of these contacts are being made by telephone....

We are making it our business to find these folks and should find the physical location and players pretty easily....not too smart, these folks.  Depending upon the number of victims, could constitute a class action.

This is BS most likely posted by Scott Akins aka Credit Management Solutions.  Your legal rights are protected by the laws governing your state from predators like this.  I myself got a call at my office where calls are recorded from Scott Akins (?) today stating that there was a federal warrant for Social Security fraud against me, and trying to solicit my social security number and demanding payment.

This is tatamount to both impersonating a federal officer (since they are the only persons who can pursue litigtion on behalf of the social security administration, and extortion since there was a demand for payment to avoid prosecution.

Both of these activities are FEDERAL CRIMES and punishable by time in Federal Prison.  Unfortunately for this little band of thieves, I have the resources, legal, legislative and financial to hunt them down and prosecute to the fullest extent o fthe law, which was set in motion at the very moment th call ended.  See you guys in Federal Court.....

Someone called from this number looking for a distant relative with whom I have not had contact with for a number of years.  The caller claimed to be from my counties Attorney's Office which clearly they are not associated with.

I am not sure what this is about but I woud imagine it is a form of debt collection utilizing unprofessional and unethical practices.  I have contacted my County Attorney's Office so that they may address this if as they see fit.

Don't listen to this astroturfer. He and a few others posting here work for these people. You can't be sued for debts you don't owe.

These people called me, left a message saying a name I specifically use to order magazines owed money and that this name has a warrant out for theft by deception and that the only way to rescind the warrant is to  contact them, which is of course a lie. I called and told them not to call me again and she started calling me 'little white boy' and similar insults. WOW.

Sounds like the same call I just got a few mins back. But least you got the name of who was calling. I don't get it. Some people actually believe them? They said I needed to call back cause my relative, Steve had me as a reference. I dont have any relatives named Steve. Just seems too fishy to me.

Just got a message from someone saying they are looking for a relative of mine named Steve. Funny since I don't have any relatives names steve. He never left his name. He left a claim number and said there will be a summons for him to be served in court if I don't call back. This is a scam. Straight up. He never left his name and couldnt even pronounce my name. I will not be calling this number and it has been blocked.

A man called and left a voicemail.  He identified himself as Scott Atkins and used my full name and claimed that his office (which was unnamed) was investigating a report of theft by deception against my father (whose full name was also used).  On the voicemail he left a "claim number", but did not provide any specific identifying information for his company or anything else.

He also mentioned that my father's ex-wife "got irate" on the phone.  My father doesn't have an ex-wife.

I don't know if this is a scam, a collection agency, or what, but I'd be very cautious about this number.

I received a call from this number this morning.  The person that first called transferred me to a supervisor without saying a word to me after I asked for some simple verification information (date of debt, amount of original debt, etc).

The supervisor (Ms Kepple) basically threw a bunch of legal jargon at me, but the moment I asked her to explain what she was talking about it in terms that I could understand, she immediately got defensive.  Any point in the call that I would question her she would start speaking and wouldn't stop.  I tried several times to interject politely by saying "ma'am" and she kept spewing her crap at me.

After threatening that I don't "want to mess with them" I was so fed up of her accusing me of lying to her about prior correspondence and her acting like I was being a raving lunatic, I told her that I was at work and couldn't speak any further and I hung up on her (she was in the middle of a rant so probably didn't hear me).

Moments later she called back and said "You didn't just hang up on me, did you?" in a nasty tone.  When I replied yes, she stated "oh no you didn't, good luck little boy, we are coming after you"

While I understand that it is my responsibility to pay my bills, I am not going to willy nilly give someone my debit card information over the phone.  She promised me an email statement 3 hours ago, it has not yet been received.

I would be more than happy to pay this debt, if I am approached and spoken to as a human being that has made some past mistakes, rather than the way she approached me.

Collection companies have rules that they have to abide by.  They are not allowed to harrass or threaten.  I feel like i was both harrassed and threatened just because I asked questions that she didn't want to answer.
