They tried billing me for two extra months after I cancelled my service, they sent me a statement and sent it to collections two days after they sent me a statement...REALLY!?

I got this phone number about 2 weeks ago and they are looking for someone who had it before me.
When I told them about my recent acquisition of the number they said they would remove it from the calling database.
So far so good.  We'll see.
PS - I had to call them back as there was no one on the line when I answered my cell.  There was no message, either.  I just read the above comments and called them back to see if I can get the calls to stop.

Just got a call for this number and I never ANSWER my phone anymore,  I also have turned off my answering machine as I don't have the time or energy to deal with these a** hats!  I pay all my bills on time so I don't have to pay any interest.

Called, had my phone on vib from the night before and they didn't leave a message.

This number called My cell, wouldn't leave a message so I called it back. Message said "It's CCS in an attempt to collect a debt."
I don't owe a debt but the guy that use to have My cell phone number does have a few debt collectors..My guess is..If You have switched cell phone numbers,an don't owe a debt Yourself,it's not You that their calling for & I doubt they care if You are or aren't the one their attempting to harass to get their money out of!!  

Just called, with husbands first name, middle initial and last name but had an address for us in a different state across the country we've never lived in. Said we owed $296.89 for an AT&T Bill. We've never used AT&T and said our service was discontinued with AT&T on 9/20/2013. We've never had AT&T!!!!!! Also gave us an account # (which I won't share online in case it may be someone else's). She wanted him to give his ss# which he did not do but did correctly give him the last 4 digits. She said her name was Laticia Dallas (and she said gave us an address in TX? - not too creative). Seems fishy!

They are not suppose to call places of work. Harassing you. Illegal.  Depending on the state, you may have recourse that you can take against them

They called last night at a minute before 9 p.m. Technically that's within the laws in the U.S., though I wish the U.S. would adopt Canada's laws of 6 p.m. on a Sunday. It's a collection's agency. In our case, they're tracking the guy who had our phone number prior to three years ago when it was assigned to us. The kicker with this CCS Collections is that if you follow the instructions the recorded message gives to report the person no longer has this number, the computer tells you that you cannot proceed because you are not the person that owes money. So I've tried to wait and get a live person and have yet to be successful.

Called and said I owed $400. Wanted me to confirm SS# last 4 digits and got upset when I said for them to tell me the digits they had & wouldn't do it. Supervisor was going to hang up on me but got her to tell me the street, which I had never heard of, told her the 3 streets we had lived on in the last 30 years and she said to disregard.  We'll see if she really meant it or comes back with using one of the streets I gave her (I know - shouldn't have done that).  I think it's a scam....wish people would get a real job.

calls but leaves no messages.  when i did answer, they asked for a different person, someone i never heard of!  and i too have had diffiulties with bad debt and if this # is a true debt collector, they will leave many threatening messages on your voice mail.  if this is a new tactic on the part of debt collectors, it isn't working.  also, get people on the other end of the phone that speak english that can be understood by americans and not indians by the names of BRUCE or ANNA!

I have money being automatically debited from my checking account?  How did they get that information?  I've been out of the country for three years.

Reading the other comments about this number, it looks like it is a debt collection agency. I have never answered the numerous calls, but they have never left a message. I do not owe anyone and pay credit cards completely on a monthly basis.  I will file a comlaint with the FCC http://www.fcc.gov/complaints and the DNC Registry.

don't answer. i have been in TRUE trouble with debt collectors and they will leave you all sorts of messages if you actually owe someone money. you will also most likely ALREADY know if you hadn't been paying your credit card or whatever bill and it went to collection. this is most definitely a scam to try to get a few bucks off you.

I think they also call from a blocked # that I won't answer. I don't know what they want. If they won't leave a mssg that clearly states what they want I'll just keep ignoring them. I wish they'd stop though. :(

this is the CCS debt collection agency.

The caller claimed to be searching for me personally.  This is the second call received in the last month. They claim to be a collection agency. Without knowing they were talking to me personally said they were collecting an outstanding debt that I owe. I have no outstanding debts.
