877-924-3604 is a valid Wells Fargo Sales Office. You can verify that by calling their Resolution Team at 844-931-2273, or by calling your local Wells Fargo office. Unfortunately, the pricks do not leave a message, name, ID, or extension. Perhaps that is why they are scrambling for stock holders and paying huge fines. Calling and not leaving any contact information or a message as to why you disturbed the caller is indeed unprofessional, discourteous, and a waste of the caller's time (if like me you try to track them down and then report them to your state attorney general). Since they've wasted your time, I would encourage you to contact your local Wells Fargo office and their Resolution Team to complain and waste their time as well.

Got a call from this number and the man asked for my husband. I stated he wasn't at home. He said was from Wells Fargo, and I stated that I am a account holder with my husband, and what did he want? He then asked for my social security number and checking account number for my account. When I refused to give it to him, he said he would call back for my husband. I then stated my husband wouldn't give him the information either, and what was the problem? He refused to talk to me at that point. I got a number from him, and he hung up. I checked online and it was the customer service number at my bank, but after speaking with the bank teller, we discovered that this is not them calling. THIS IS A SCAM. Give them no information.  

They could have just recorded Wells Fargo's greeting and prompt which is what you get when you call that number back.Has anybody who's called that number back ever stayed on the line and actually  talked to a personal banker there?

This number called my office and asked for a person who does not work in the office. If this is legit it need to stop smelling like a scam. I deal with telemarketers and crap calling all day and this immediately sent up some red flags. First, like others here have stated, the number is not a trusted one. Second, the person on the line did not respond until I said "Hello". Cold calling/robodials will wait until the word "Hello" is heard to connect someone for you to talk to. I answer my office phone initially without the word hello so I waited through 15 seconds of silence before asking "hello?", which is when I heard a click and someone was finally there to talk. If this is legit, why are they robo-dialing?

It IS Wells Fargo (formerly Wachovia for my account).  I have a Home Equity Line of Credit that is 31 days past due.  (They have never left an actual message unless I am dangerously over-due.)

Called my work number twice this week when i was away from my desk, no message, no caller id.

We have received calls from this number for months on end. They NEVER leave a message. If a company is on the up and up and want to talk with a "client" that bad you would leave a message and would not travel under "unknown caller". I will NOT answer their calls and I do believe them to be a scam. I really wish I could be an end to their harassment.

Another hangup call at 12:02 pm Nov 18.  

This number is Wellls Fargo, I even called 888-333-0567 which is a legit Wells Fargo line and they told me this 877-924-3604 is one of theirs

Same again today at 1:32 pm.  If they're legit and ever want me to consider answering, they need to put something other than "unavailable" on the caller ID.  Of course if it said "Wells Fargo" I'd probably still not answer, assuming it's spoofed.  Oh well.  Guess they won't ever talk to me on the phone unless I call them.  Boo hoo (not).

Hangup call today at 2:38 pm.  Any caller ID that reads "unavailable" just guarantees that I am too.  I do have an EBR with Wells Fargo but I don't think they've called me before.  If it is legit, they should display correct caller ID.

Called my home two times in this week, not left message. Never apply any new ac with Well Fargo, not interested to answer phone calls that only shown Free Toll Call instead company's name.

I JUST got a call from this # and it was indeed Wells Fargo. I just opened an account with them and they called me so it is on the level.

I got a call that went to voicemail from this number, from Wells Fargo after completing the online application for a Business Checking account. So this was legitimate for me.

I received a call from this number this morning. They guy said he was from Wells Fargo and asked for my husband by name. I told him my husband wasn't available and asked if I could "help." He stated it was an offer for a "new product" and the man asked if he could call back. I told him that it would better for me to take a message. I got the number (same one) and an extension (10 digit) from him. I then called Wells Fargo who indicated that this number is not affilitated with their company in any manner. SCAM of some sort.

It's definitely Wells Fargo I just called it back and they gave me valid info regarding the wells fargo company and my account so no Obama is not at the bottom of this and why don't you guys just call they number back and ask a couple of simple questions that don't involve giving any personal information and see what they say and there's your answer? One way or another its solved, but instead people would just rather hide behind a screen and have a bunch of other idiots tell them dumb s*** then just call the number back and find out for yourself.
