I know that agency, they are not debt buyers. So do yourself a favor, call them. I am sure they will work something out. Worst place to get advice about your personal situation is from some disgruntled customer that because they cannot pay their bill they are mad at the bank or agency calling them. No one expects a customer to pay. That's why the bank puts the account in an agency. They could just sue the customer, and in some cases they do. If the bank was generous enough to give an opportunity to settle or make other arrangements you should at least try. The creditor will see that you made legitimate attempts to pay and generally will give those customers better deals. Otherwise just go file bankruptcy and quick because that will stay on your credit bureau for ten years! Oh, the 2nd worst place to get financial advise is from a Bankruptcy Lawyer!! Or anyone who stands to gain a dime from your decision. That includes realtors, short sale negotiators, and all "sales" type positions. If you feel like you are being sold, RUN!!!!
Caller's name is Andrew Brubaker. Calls cell phone and leaves voice mail message: "Hello! Hi!. I have a decision to make which concerns you. And I'd like to get your side of the story before going ahead with this. Please contact the office of Jen Daniels at 877 949-1073. This is not a sales call. I have information that concerns you. And it is essential you contact the office of Jen Daniels at 877 949-1073. Again, this not a sales call. It is essential we speak to you right away."
What happend with you foreclosure ? Did you end up paying PRS ? I am currently in a similar situation and I am curious where to go from here. Chase sold the 2nd mortgage on my house (that is currently in a short sale process) to PRS and they started contacting me. Where shall I go from here ?
Must say.....Not the Realtors fault. For one, any Realtor who does a short sales and any title company closing them, knows to advise their clients to get a release letter. A GOOD title company will not close the property without it. A GOOD Realtor will explain the process to the owner of the property. Realtors are not attorney's, if in doubt seek legal advice.
Got laid-off and had to do a short sell on my house. The second mortgage wasn't totally paid off (of course not... that's why they call it a "short-sell"). Wish I knew then, what most realtor's won't tell you when they are suggesting and/or handling your short-sell - You can make your short sell "contingent" on any unpaid mortgage debt being "released or dismissed" by the mortgage company (or companies if you have a second). This takes longer... and is more work for the Short-sell realtor. I'm now getting hit with the same calls (as stated here) from two PRS numbers (877-949-1073 and 866-464-1013) I am not going to return their calls either... I believe that mortgage companies in general write these types of debt off as a "loss" and companies like PRS buy this type of debt, thinking they can intimidate you into paying something they really don't have any legal right to collect on. I will wait until they want to spend $35K in legal fees... taking me to court and trying to get a collections judgment against me. To eventually force me to pay my $12K worth of debt. (good luck with that)
Folks, I recently lost my fiance to an adult baby cult, I gained over a 100 pounds and saw a reduction in my salary. Of course, I'm going to be snappy and abrasive to the 'debtors'.
We also received a call from Jen Daniels. She also threatened us with foreclosure. One problem. We rent.
They must have a number of offices or lines, or there is another company with the same name, because we have also received calls from 866-464-1013.
Same as everyone that has posted so far. After a few calls I did call back. Very rude and unprofessional. They didn't even have the information they should have if they were indeed working for my bank. I didn't provide them with any information, just played dumb. I have a home going through a short-sale and it was about our unpaid mortgage. I referred them to my real estate agent who in turn referred them to the loan solution center who had been dealing with the bank. "Jen Daniels" is actually trying to get money out of us ($5,000) stating that the bank will not sue us if we pay it at the close of escrow. We have all come to the conclusion that P.R.S. & Jen Daniels are frauds. The bank has never heard of them and the sale is processing without delay. The bank stated that there are a lot of third parties out there that are preying on people in my situation. If people who's homes are being foreclosed upon or are going through a short sale could come up with this sum of money, they would still be in their homes...not paying off "Jen Daniels". The best advice I can give is DO NOT CALL THEM BACK. They are taking advantage of desperate people.
I keep getting a vm that sez to call Lou somebody from PRS! I never ever get to tell someone that i am not the person they want!!!!!!!! piss me off calls also come from 866-556-2117
Just have your fax machine keep redialing that number.
You can play the same game they do.
They are like a bunch of little girls, especially the guy with the deep voice.
Just answer and hang up with a huge smile on your face!
They prey on the weak! You can pretend to need them then tell them to p****off.
A machine keeps calling and leaving message. When I return the call a rude female answers and denies calling my nember and hangs up. Very irritating. Any one knows how to report them so they stop this bull.
got calls from this number. i've never answered or called back.
annoyed by caller
i have gotten a call from jen daniels atleast twice a day
for the past month, it's getting very aggravating.
does anyone know how to stop them?
i sold my house to the realtor a year ago.
and im constantly getting calls about my supposedly "foreclosed" house..
how do you check your credit rating? or to see that the bill has been
I, too, have gotten phone calls from this number identified as Jen Daniels. I have not (nor will I) return this call. I believe it to be about our home that was foreclosed on 2 years ago. When I checked our credit rating this has already been charged off. These phone calls have to be totally illegal. Any idea how to get them stopped?
told them not to call anymore so instead they call each day and say nothing. like they just want me to know they are out there. i'm logging the dates and time with copies from my phone bills.
called back to find out what it was all about barely got out a question, before the man started yelling at and called me a low life and then promptly hung up on me. after some further research, i figured out that this was about a old credit card, that was in fact already paid off, still can't seem to get off their list!
Called and left voice mail message. "Hi! This is a-Jen Daniels calling from PRS. Can I please get a return call to 877 949-1073? Again, my name is Jen Daniels. I?m calling from PRS. Can you please return the call to 877 949-1073. Thank you."

It is PRS...Personal Recovery Services. It is a collection agency. They keep calling me about the house I had that was forclosed on.They think I am going to pay the amount that the bank couldn't get when they sold it.
I have received calls from both numbers as well. You know what I say...."go ahead and take their side, and go ahead and take action.......". He's annoying and I'm tired of hearing his deep voice!
Exactly the same as momwick. Same vague message, and calls from both 877-949-1073 and 877-943-1013. Also added "Want to hear your side of the story before I am forced to take action" but never actually references on what!
States is not a sales call, need to call back to speak to Jen Daniels at the above number. It sounds like the same voice on calls from 1-877-943-1013.
