got a call stating papers were on his desk and that I had a court appearance on Monday.. hmmmm thougt you had to be served first. Also the number came across my phone as an unknown number. RIDICULOUS!!!!

The calls started early morning on my voicemail from an urgent and rude sounding women saying she needed to serve me papers to appear in court by Wednesday unless I called 877-957-8122. She sounded official saying she had received papers in her office with my name and social security number regarding impending litigation. I almost bit, and then checked here. I am glad I did! I am so pissed at this scam! Especially the part about visiting my home, because part of the year I am at an address that my mother with Alzheimers Disease lives at, caregiving for her. The thought of the confusion that this "server" would cause showing up at that address was enough to make me want to sue their company! All this worry for some stupid old debt that I don't even know about. Thanks for the info on debt validation notification!

I also received several calls from someone named Bob (never leaves a last name or company name).  Same as the rest, that he's going to serve me some papers and very rude about it.  

Please do file reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,FTC & FCC..

I just received this message. Jim Neal, told to call that same number. I am in Florida, he will be here the 15th of Oct no later than 5pm. Where are you? This is so very creepy.

I got a call 2 days in a row from Steve saying he was a courier and had documents for pending litigation.

He gave me the 877-957-8122 number and a case number to call, so I did. The guy sounded similar but was not the same person. They all use a deep serious sounding voice as I guess that intimidates some people. Turns out they are a debt collector looking for someone with my first and last name....but had a different middle name. He apologized for bothering me and said they'd remove my number from the "wanted" list.

Call from 810-965-7616  Jim Neal. doesn't say who he is with. Just that someone is filing litigation against me. A server will be out before 5pm friday.
and that the company filing is #877-957-8122. I call that # and he answers, same guy.Denies its him.
He is with Alliant Corporation.

Then will try and trick you into saying who you are and claiming the debt.
I told them they may send me by mail the notice of validation of the debt claimed owed and that any other further communications will be considered harassment.

These people have already had class action law suits against them................ keep the information maybe we will all be in on the next one.

He's a fraudulent or purely bogus debt collector. If you take his next call tell him you have researched your rights as a consumer under the FDCPA. Tell him you'll be expecting his notice of validation by mail (NOT e-mail or fax.) within the next 5 days. When he refuses or starts with the usual lines of Bluster & BS he'll have proven himself a fraud.
Of course, he's already proven himself to be a fraud. Process servers do NOT call ahead of time. EVER! He's using very old, very stale intimidation tactics to coerce you in to paying a non-existent, invalid or time barred debt. Unless you receive proof of his claim via the US mail ignore him. In general, the only time these types of shysters have seen the inside of a court room is from the defendants side of the room.

I just received the same call from Jim Neal about being served a notice and that I need to make myself available to sign some document by no later than 5pm on the 10th of Oct and this was a courtesy call, curious if anyone else had someone show up besides this one guy in this thread?

Got a message from a guy named Jeff Stanton who is  licensed carrier.  He said he was giving me a courtesy call before he comes to my residence or place of employment. He needs me to sign some papers for a lawsuit that is being filed against me. The number that he left was 877-957-8122 . He said he would be at my house by 5 if he hasn't heard back from me.

I got the same message, from a lady named Liz Hubel.  Said she was coming by at a certain time, date.  I am sure it is a scam.  She stated that she will have something for me to sign.

This James Kendell said he is coming to my house tomorrow.... curious to know what state you live in.... cause if your not in the Midwest like I am, he must have a HUGE territory he covers to deliver papers!

got their VM earlier today, mentioned some documentation that they have in file and be ready for a home visit and heard it for 3 times still doesn't know the person that they were calling about.  called the number back and the person that they r looking for doesn't even exist in my household.  don't even know what company this it

James Kendell was the name he used. said had legal documents to serve to me and was coming to my homr. Tolf him wrong person. he got very loud yelling he knew i was lying and was going to get me. told him my property is marked no trespassing and I was a good shooter then hung up. call the 877 numbet 4. times go t 4 different company names.

THESE PEOPLE ARE LEGIT COURIER CAME TO MY JOB LAST WEEK AND YES I WAS SERVED A NOTICE TO APPEAR , I GAVE CLAIMS OFFICE A CALL FOUND OUT IT WAS CITI BANK THAT CONTRACTED THE COURIER SERVICE. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL AND I WAS ABLE TO SECURE AN OUT OF COURT SETTLEMENT. I WOULD ADVISED YOU TO FOLLOW UP WITH THEM AND FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON BEFORE YOU THINK ITS A SCAM THEY WERE ABLE TO PROVIDE ME WITH ALL THE DOCUMENTATION I REQUESTED AND I WAS ALSO ABLE TO CONFIRM WITH CREDIT REPORT THIS WAS LEGIT ....

Mine call was from a woman saying the same thing.  She did not say the name of the company and I could not understand her name as she said it so fast.  I listened to the message twice and again with my husband.  Sounds pretty creepy to me, especially after reading the above posts.  She better not show up here.

Anonymous caller keeps calling that a formal complaint is being filed to call 877 957 8122 but when I called the number the same guy (sounds just like him) answered says no one calls anyone from that number????
