Received call, returned call - left message, got call back...
Caller explained he with AM EX group marketing.  Wanted to know if we would consider moving to Sprint with our cell phones.  He asked some pertinent questions.  I explained we were happy with our VerizonWireless plans and account service and with other items of more priority on our agenda we were not interested in switching out our cell phones.  He thanked me for my time, asked me for my email address to send some info for future consideration.
We hung up....

Don't think this is a scam, just a marketing effort

Same guy (Steve Christy) called my office on 9/19/2011 and left a message saying he was with American Express and had some questions he was hoping I could help him with.  I didn't call back but I did feel compelled to check up on the status of my Corporate AMEX account just on principle.  No issues thankfully.  Looks like this is just nuisance telemarketing.

Guy just called(Steve Christy), claimed to be a division of Americal Express providing
discounted Cell phones to small businesses.  I asked for a website, he said to check
out www.savingsatwork.com.  Appears to be AMEX...never know though.

Caller asked for an employee who hasn't worked here in several years.  When I told him this, he asked to speak to whoever was in charge of our cell phone accounts.  I asked him why he had Employee X's name associated with cell phones, as she had absolutely nothing to do with the cell phones our company uses.  He said, "Well, that's just the name I had."  I asked him who he is with and he told me he's with American Express.  "Really?  And can you please tell me what AMEX has to do with cell phones?" I asked.  He said, rather rudely, "May I just speak to the person who handles your cell phones??"  My answer?  "NOPE!" and a hang up of the phone.  Buh bye!

I have gotten several calls and so has my tech. I first guy I was talking to was named Patrick, while on the phone with him got a voice mail from a guy named Steve!

After telling Patrick that I was not interested I called the number back and after dialing the extension, I was hung up on! this happened twice!

I finally got thru and the guy who answered said his name was Pete, then all of sudden he changed his name to Steve and when I called him on it he said that I was mistaken! that really pissed me off. so after telling him to never call my companies again I said "do you understand me Pete-Steve" ?

God I hope they call back.....

Left a message that they are American Express Business and want to talk about how they can help my company.
