I dont know what this is about but...deliver it so I can find out! No return number or anything. Sounds like a scam!!! Always calls on a private number to leave this number.

This is a scam Do not pay them anything. Got the same call and did the research. Someone just started selling your number and name and fraud companies are calling you now. It wont stop ever. Buy a phone that can block out unwanted calls I personally have a panasonic that does this and its great. Do research on any company immediately. Never pay right then and there on the phone. Always ask them to send information via mail, never via email. And remember, if they threaten you or say that you are going to be arrested, it automatically is a scam, because that IS illegal.

It's amazing what effort these individuals put into trying to SCREW honest people over with this B.S. If they took the same amount of effort to contribute something meaningful to society, they could find a cure for cancer. Instead they are cancer and need to be treated as such.

I just got a call from 877-997-4825 from Elizabeth King. She says she is a consumer fraud investigator and -my name and social security number are attached to an item. I call and was advised I need to talk to a manager named Mark Stevens at 803-675-5213. I called and reached Mark Steven Legal Outsourcing. A man answered and seemed a bit surprised that I was give his number to call directly. He took my name and indicated he would call me back. I am not sure what position he plays in this scam.

My husband received a phone call from Elizabeth King asking for me.  He forwarded me the voice message to me and when I listened she said she was a fraud investigator and that I should call her back at 877-997-4825.
If I had fraud against my bank card my own bank would call me.
Just like everybody else I wish it would stop.

I just got a call from Elizabeth King with the usual script these fraudulent bottom feeders use. I do not have a land-line, only a cell phone. I have found a way to not be bothered by these calls, as they just keep coming and coming, and all of the notices to the police/FBI, etc. seem to not really help much.

So..if you are receiving these kinds of calls on a cell phone, (not sure if it works on iPhones however) please google "Mr. Number". This is a free app that allows you to block numbers. In addition, you are given the choice to either have the call go directly to voice-mail, or, after one ring, it automatically hangs up on the caller. This app has been SO useful, and I love it. When the call came in this morning, Mr. Number popped up on my screen saying it was "suspected spam". It also gives you the option to read comments from other people who received calls from the number, if there are any. I cannot recommend this app enough. And the bonus is...it's likely to really p****off these people who are calling!

Don't fall for this. I got this call from a similar "company" seven months ago. They called my parents & work about an old pay day loan that I KNOW I paid off. One person impersonated a police officer, leaving messages that I was going to be "served with a felony complaint". I researched everything...all lies. AND I was in the middle of a bankruptcy so they were breaking the law by attempting to extort money from me for a so-called debt. My Chapter 7 covered everything on my credit report. There is NO outstanding debt here. When one of these scumbag companies can't get anything from you, they sell the information to another bottom feeder. Low lives. Just explain the situation to your family/work and IGNORE them!

I keep getting messages from 877-997-4825 for a Thomas Blodgett.  The caller identifies herself as Elizabeth King and says negative credit information has been posted on his credit file and his social security number isn't safe. I don't know a Thomas Blodgett and don't know how they got my phone number.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

Received another phone call form an unknown number. This time it was a representative known as Angie who wanted me to call back the following number: 803-675-5202. When I called this number, my phone registured it as coming from Clover, SC. I heard a voice recording that said the office was closed and told me what FAS stood for, First American Solutions. Doing some web searching, I found that this company had registured with the BBB. Here is a link to the web page: http://www.bbb.org/columbia/business-reviews/ ... bia-sc-34069281

It was registured on 4/12/2012 and has not many complaints filed yet. I also found a link to First American Solutions, LLC and that business was very shady with an F grade and as many as 23 complaints. here is that website: http://www.bbb.org/southern-nevada/business-r ... derson-nv-81098

I did speak to Angie today, and after being put on hold for a brief time, she asked for my case number and asked me to let my mother know that they are trying to contact her. I will continue to look into these numbers and potential scams.

Received another phone call today from an unknown number. When I checked my voicemail a woman who did not identify herself said she had noticed that I had called yesterday, but wanted to get in contact with my mother, who she referred to by name, first and last. This woman was different than Crystal Wilson who had called me earlier, but the strange thing was I called the number left to me in the voicemail well after the office was closed. I did not leave a voicemail message, but the woman who called my phone today said she had noticed that I called. I have dealt with debt collectors before and I have never had one that said to me that they noticed that I had called after office hours. Seems weird.

I was sent to a voicemail system, but not an automated one like most businesses have. This was a recording of a woman giving me general information. She said the company was called FAS Legal and recited the office hours as Monday-Friday 7:30am to 6pm, but are sometimes open on the weekend. Now, I have worked in offices before and have called many offices in the past. Call centers are either have weekend hours or they don't. There isn't any sometimes to it. Again seems like a poor con job.

The unknown woman did leave a call back number: 803-675-5203 for me. I searched it on this website and found the following page: http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-803-675-5203#p416532998072488531

It is fairly new number with few messages written about it, but all the messages are recorded from 2009. Except for the one recorded on July 3, 2012. Joy Frank is the writer and wrote, "Important and urgent you must call before 6pm or action against you will be taken." The same BS that most people from these numbers keep repeating. I figure it is a member of the company, for lack of a better group term, doing a google search and finding their numbers on this site. I, your friendly neighborhood spider, posted a comment on the message warning that the message was a possible scam/scare tactic and left the link to this page for victims to do more research. The following link is a forum threat that dates very recently, May 6, 2012 to July 11, 2012 with at least one post today, July 12, 2012: http://800notes.com/forum/ta-57c195e37dce822/payday-loan-collector

I have sent a message to my local police department in regards to this fraud/con activity. I have also looked up contact information for my branch of the FBI and consumer affairs bureau. I will keep this thread updated with developments as I have read many requests on follow up information. REMEMBER, NEVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE AND DON'T LET ANYONE SCARE YOU WITH THREATS.

I got a call today from a Crystal Wilson informing me that my mother needed to be contacted in regards to a "complaint that has been requested against her." The first odd thing I noticed was that the caller ID showed the number was UNKNOWN, which I have only experience when police officers have gotten in contact with me. She left a call back number on my voice mail 877-977-4825. I was at work and didn't bother to call till late tonight. When I called the number, it was to the FAS legal department. I have no clue what FAS stood for, plus it's weird that they didn't say what it stood for, and like all members of my generation, I googled it. I the only reference I found was on this website. As mentioned above, this seems like a scam.

My family has had a history of debt problems and after my father died while I was in college things got worse. While I haven't actually spoken to Crystal or any other alias, a couple threats of being served legal documents won't scare a guy who has been evicted and spent 6 months homeless. My mother has used payday cash advances before and it seems that these people have gotten some basic information, such as names and phone numbers, and are using these to con people into giving them money. Trust a man who has had debt collectors and garnishments, you should have recieved paper documentation, such as a letter, informing you of any legal recourse being brought against you before/immediately after telephone calls.

You can always get in contact with you local court house and request a search be done to see if any legal matters have been filed against you. Only a court member can serve you legal documents. So, you don't have to worry about these people showing up at your home or office. I have read many report that have claimed these people get quite angry and verbally abusive if you refuse to answer questions or ask too many questions. Many have tape recorded these conversations, apparently this company will call you alot, and have gone to the police with their complaints using the verbal abuse as justification for investigation. Long story short: NEVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE. A legal summons is the proper channel for any injunction against you in the US and you always have the right to an attoney. The following link has some useful information on this matter: http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-877-204-5774/2, including a post by Don which provides some good advice.

One last thing, they may ask for your SS#. Most legit companies are aware of the legal headache of recording a person's SS# and will never ask for the full number over the phone cause that is a law suit waiting to happen. All legit companies will only ask you to confirm the last 4 digits of the SS#. If they ask for your whole number, hang up and call your local court house for some peace of mind.

These ppl called me about a month ago and wanted me to tell them my name, address, ss#, phone number and a few other things to determin I was who I was saying I was. Understandable untill the women refused to tell me where she was calling from. When I refused to give her any information without knowing the nature of her call she told me someone would be by the next day to my job and/or home to serve me with paper work. I looked up the number and this is all I have found. Now a month later they call again and leave me a vm saying the women that was suppose to serve me is backed up and I still have time to work with them. A month backed up? really? GET A REAL JOB YOU SCAMMERS!!!

I just got a call from an unavailable number on my cell. I didn't answer it and let it go to voicemail. The voicemail stated the following: "My name is Danielle White and I am an Independent Courier. I am calling to let you know a complaint has been filed against you. You need to contact 1-877-997-4825 in reference to case #F237925" Looking at the other complaints I will not be calling them back. Does anyone know how to stop these people from calling and harassing you because I thought if you were being served it is done without your knowledge right? They just don't call and say you're going to be served.

I just got a call from this company (FAS).. An today was a good day till I got this message. Some lady saying there was a case against me.  If all the post above say not to call these jokers back I am not going to call them back.  It just make me sick to core.  I guess what make me sick to my stomach is that I was out work for 2 years (2008-2010).  Then I worked temp services, I just lost another job recently, and I don't have the money to pay anything.When the bottom dropped out, everyone stopped paying their credit cards. It is either you eat or you don't.  I hope these jokers don't start messing with me, or my family.

When they call my office they threaten everyone in my office.  They call continually for about a half hour even if we tell them to stop.  They are a scam and won't ever show documentation for the bill they claim to be calling about.  No company that you owe money to doesn't have documentation to show you proving their claim.
