I received what was clearly a random taped call, and will not be calling back.  The caller claimed that this was the last attempt to reach me to confirm that I'd won an SUV - said to call the number and Jason Lee at extension 4786.  I can't help but believe this is a violation of the 'do not call' registration, but even if not, it should be stopped.

Yeah, an SUV? With gas prices as they are? Duh, can we say 'scam'.... Also, the caller ID info clued me in. hahaha... I didn't even listen to the whole message. Delete!

Received a call from the same number and same extension today.  Won't call them back since I have never entered any interest on any games or info request.  THis is a scam.

I am so glad I went down. I only won the trip which is most likely all they ever give out but a free trip to cancun aint all that bad. They did try to sell me vacation packages but I aint buy anything lol

I got two of the calls from the same source, the voice giving the same number but different extention's.   What I found amusing was that while the voice (sharp, curt, slightly high pitched in a New York style and very fast) was obviously the same person on each call, different names were given 'Jason Lee' on on and 'Kris Cuba' on the other.  No information was given as to 'why' I was being called or why I should call back.

To the point?  the odor of day old seafood is just too strong on this one.  Scam City.

Same scam Report them to the Do Not Call registry. Sounds like a timeshare pitch at best and a total con at worst. I agree that the positive comments all look suspiciously the same

Same thing on my voice mail, said I won an escalade.

I received the same call today. Jason Lee telling me to call him at 877-999-2946 it came from a number stating that it was a sweepstakes.  Same thing, I am a finalist to win a ford exporer or cadilac escalade.

I did not call. I have never won a thing. I immmediately googled the number. Thanks for taking time to post your experiences.

The message was on my machine this afternoon.  I called to tell them to never call me again as we were listed on the no-call list.  Jason immediately got obnoxious about this not being a violation of the no call list since it was a sweepstakes entry.  I told him that if he called my house again, I would report it as a no call violation to the FCC.  The guy became more obnoxious and finally hung up on me.

What a tool!  Stay away!

Beware these last several comments. Most likely from whoever is running the scam. I see it all the time on review sites. How many negative comments and suddenly glowing remarks posted all the same day?

Got the same call, too. Wouldn't touch it with a 10 (20 or 30) foot pole.

Yes i just called a call from it two days ago from "Jason Lee" ( jan 22 2008) and called it back to see who the message was addressed to. He asked my name and then proceeded to tell me it was for my mother and then we got into an arguement. as he was being an a**hole when i was just calling to find out who the message was addressed to. he told me that if i wanted to be the "smart one" and not tell my mother about winning a new car i could. this man was insane.

BTW, the 312 area code is Chicago.

I received the same call on 1/23/08 and I did a quick google search before doing anything and of course nothing really came up for the number..So its BIG TIME BS!! Dont call

same as above. jason lee. cadillac or ford suv or some other bs from a sweepstakes blah blah blah. i googled the caller id and got some link to a website. at least they got me to waste a few minutes of my life that i won't get back. scumbags

Phone message stated I was one of three people who were picked to win a new Buick and asked that I call back 877.999.2946 ext. 4786 tp discuss it. I didn't call back.

Okay, I'm the idiot who called Jason back.  Same details as above.  When I spoke with him, he asked very few personal questions.  The kicker that pointed out the scam is that I was to attend the event with my husband since the SUV is considered a marital asset.  Hmmm....trying to get us out of the house?  The room booked at the Holiday Inn in DC had been reserved for the event and would only hold 15 people.  Also, the phone number provided by the hotel to learn more about the event is a residential number...this is real as she booked the room.  Watch out.  I'll be reporting this one to the FTC Scam web site.

I got a call from a 312 area code that told me to call this 877 number to win a new suv that i got from entering in a sweepstakes.  I don't enter sweepstakes and the guy was a real jerk on the phone.  He first told me I won a Cadillac Escalade... then told me I won 1 of 4 things.  1.  Cadillac Escalade 2. $25,000 cashiers check, 3.  Trip to the Bahamas  4.  a 32" tv.  THEN, he told me I have to go to some (made-up) company in D.C to scratch off a card to see which prize I won.  All crap.  Don't waste your time listening to this creep.

I got the msg and called back. Sounds intriguing. I don't pay for anything. I'm going too! I could use any of the mentioned prizes

Yeah, just got the call here after 8pm.  Didn't recognize the number and the name was shady, so I screened.  On my machine they did not say a name in the message they left.  Said they drew my name and I was a finalist to win a Ford Explorer.  Funny, I never entered a contest to win one.  Gave me an 800 number to call back.  It's "Imperative I call back".  Guessing it's a scam.
