Me too.......no message.....can't call it back......bizarre

got a call from this seemingly non-existant number - no one on the other end.

Yes, it's Discover Network and it is related to your merchant account.  I've tried to cancel my account with them for about a year now and after being placed on hold for a long time they give me another number to call which goes to a person that gave me the first number to call.  Got frustrated and stopped trying.  Now I'm getting these calls.  They love to make it hard to cancel that account!  Guess I'll try again.

Signed me up after saying whe wouldn't sign me up.  Still don't know what the call was about...

Same thing. It makes me so angry that people do this to us. Here you are waiting for an important phone call and then you get this nonsense. In my case, I'm waiting on pins and needles for a phone call and each time the phone rings my heart starts pounding. I run and nothing. I swear these people are going to give me a heart attack!

I own a business and I continually...daily get calls from numbers like this and even when I do answer (and I should know better not to but take the chance of loosing potential business) there's no response or they are trying to sell me something if I can even understand them.  How ridiculous...there should be a law against these people and these calls.  GOD Damn them!!!  Send them death...PLEASE!!!  Somebody needs to be puttin' some law down and stop this crap, just send them to prison.  This is not the reason why I have a phone!!!  F*** THEM ALL RIGHT IN THE NECK!!!!!!!!!

Recd call from this number this morning at 9:00 am Eastern. Did not answer but have received unwanted calls "repeadedly" from Discover Merchant Svcs in past so above comments make sence. I also have asked them to STOP calling this number as it is a cell phone and do not appreciate telemarketing calls made to it. I do own a business that uses a credit card terminal which is probably where they acquired my phone #

I got a call from this number in the morning but I was asleep so I didnt answer. Tried to call it back and it would not go through. If its a toll free from Canada it might not work calling from the US. I placed on add on Craigslist last night I wonder if it had anything to do with it?

Have been called twice from this number.   Both times the connection was bad and caller was a male with an ethnic accent.  The first time he said he was calling on behalf of my merchant account. After listening for about 30 seconds, I hung up.  This morning I received another call and hung up after identifying the number and the caller's voice as the same person who had called last week.

I'm tired of being harrassed by these people.  I've declined 5 times and have asked them not to call me back.  They insist on calling often.

Call is from Discover Network wanting to update your business information... while at the same time automatically signing you up for a $29.xx a month merchant protection service without giving you a yes/no option of whether or not you want it. I asked for a callback number but was not given one and the lady simply told me it will be on the paperwork that I'll receive.

From what I've been able to find, the 883 code is a Canadian toll free number but one website said the receiver of the call gets charged, something along those lines. Anyway, its a pretty crappy and deceptive call. I would ignore it and report it, if possible.

I have gotten several calls from this number, I believe the toll-free thing from Canada ting is correct, I called it from a land line and it "can not be completed as dialed"

I got a call from this same number today I didnt answer it because I am out of minutes but it is a toll free number located in Canada.  probably a computer auto dialer tring to log numbers to use as a list that will be sold would be my guess

Received several calls from this number. I tried to look the number up but there the area code does not seem to exits. Strange? Where is the number coming from. There must be some telephone carrier that was issued this area code #>
